Score from 67 reviews Excellent
Loved the indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Loved the pillows.
The only thing I didn't like was that you could hear every time other people turned on their bathtub/shower water.
For the price, the place can't be beat!
The night clerk could use a little more customer service skills.
Weeklong stay was quiet and comfortable.
It was all good. Excellent stay.
We needed a large coffe maker in the room.
Clean and for the money the best in the area.
The access to the property
We love the room the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom and the whole room was clean.
The breakfast was cold.
Great spot! View out the windows of the next door junk yard was amusing.... Very nice and new hotel in a convienent location, just a terrible view.
Terrible view out of our window of the donkeys and the next door junkyard.
Location is great and staff is really kind and helpful all the time.
There is an abandoned land in the back of the hotel with a lot of metal disposals with 3 donkeys living there and they were 'singing' between 6:00 and 7:00 am everyday.
Staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and fresh. Location relative to I-35 was perfect. Quiet, but convenient.
Parking seemed limited. Had to park in back lot when coming in after 8:00 PM.
The location was convenient for the purpose of our trip. The two daytime male front desk staff were plesent and accommodated our early check in and late check out.
The view of the junk yard. The donkey in the junk yard yelling all night. The night staff lady didn't have the "keys" to get us extra pillows to help my husband after his painful surgery but had the "keys" to later pull a roller bed out of storage for someone else and didn't make any attempt to help.
Convenient, good value for the money
Breakfast wasn't in line with comparable hotels, our particular view was of what appeared to be a junkyard.
We stayed here exactly two years ago, when the hotel was very new. The only difference in two years is that the rug in the room was a little worn out. The hotel had an excellent breakfast then and an excellent breakfast now. The room was very quiet. One other good point is that the hotel is near many chain stores in case you've forgotten something. Traffic in New Braunfels is very bad, but this hotel's location is away from the fray unlike most other hotels in town.
The City of New Braunfels has installed a solid road median making entry into the hotel and exit from the hotel's parking lot inconvenient, because a U turn is usually required.
The staff was extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Great breakfast.
Staff was very friendly
I would give them a10* if the rating went that high. Staff was so friendly & helpful. They answered all our tourist questions witha smile. The rooms were perfect. We will stay there any time we are area.
Beds were too firm to noisy in hall ways small rooms compared to other win gates I have used
Beds were comfy and breakfast was adequate. Staff was personable for the most part.
When we first arrived they couldn't find my reservation. So I showed them my confirmation email. I told them that I had already been charged a partial amount. The front desk lady kept telling me that they hadn't charged me anything yet. I had to pull up my bank statement to prove that they had in fact already charged my account. What they finally figured out was that they had entered the wrong dates for my stay into their system and so the charges were for a no show fee. They said they would comp my room for instead of reimbursing me for the no show fee. I still wound up paying $7 more than what I was supposed to but I just let it go. We went up to our room my daughter sat down on the bed and moved the pillows. I noticed something on the head board. After taking a closer look my husband and I realized that it was white fluid spattered on the head board. I'm not 100% sure what it was but I didn't want to stay in that room anymore. We notified the front desk and switched rooms. The hotel over all wasn't clean. I'm not a picky person but there was hair in the bath tub, smudges all over the elevator, a thick layer of dust on the desk and shelves, scuff marks on the walls. It just didn't look well taken care of. The next day we left to float the river. We were gone several hours. When we got back housekeeping had cleaned the room but they left the latch on the top lock of the door open. So the door was proped open, unlocked. Anyone could have just went in and taken our stuff. Luckily nothing was missing. My husband told the front desk and they just said, "Really?" No apology, no compensation just really? The property is right next to a junkyard, so if you happen to be on the backside of the building your view is of the junkyard. One last thing the indoor pool had several fire ant mounds around the furniture. I wouldn't recommend this place, spend your money somewhere else!
Our AC unit in the room had to be turned down to 60 just for it to stay on and cool the room down. Even at 60 it would shut off for a long time get hot in the room before kicking on again. When it was on you froze because it was on 60. We had to buy a box fan for the second nights stay just so we could stay cool at night while the unit kicked off.
Very reasonably priced..Good breakfast,,,nice room!!!!
Coffee pot leaked
Room Pool Breakfast Staff Cleanliness
View of the junkyard with a poor donkey that just walks in clircles all alone. This is nothing the hotel could fix or improve on though.
This hotel was clean , nice and the breakfast was excellent ! The staff was very helpful and nice ! I would stay there again
We did have a yucky view of the next door looked like a old junk collectors yard ... But was not staying there for the view !!!
Location to Gruene
The room and facilities were beautiful Very clean motel The staff were very helpful with any questions I had I will definitely go back there and stay
It was a little difficult to get into the motel because of the construction on the adjoining highway You have to make a U turn to go back to the motel
Asked for ground floor room one month in advance. Called ahead and was told I would have one. Got there and didn't.
That it was close to Greene
Air hot in hallway, mold on AC vent, and shower. Room was tidy, but smelled musty, and did not seem clean. The staff was not friendly, the breakfast was gross, and they ran out of juice by 830 am, and made no attempt, or apologies to correct it. Not to include, our room's view overlooked a junk yard
