Food was great. Loved the atmosphere of the pub.
Bed was incredibly noisy. Kept us awake because moving caused noise.
Run down, out of date.
No view of the lake
The quiet and solitude, the lake, the food, the trees
The wedding reception going on under our room, but the music stopped before 11 p.m. so it was okay.
Lovely setting - friendly staff. Quaint and cozy.
Some banging and bumping at night
Excellent lake and location Enjoyed the pub
Room had unusual odor Spotty cleaning
Good value. Would plan ahead to reserve a room in the main building.
The building was in need of updating. Drains in bathroom slow. Rugs old & worn.
Facilities need to be updated a little. Beds are old, at night could hardly make out what was on the television. No refrigerator for cold beverages. Go to Jack Daniels Motor Inn, still quaint, not outdated.
Great price. Very clean. Large room. Indoor swimming. Workout facility. WiFi. Across from SUNY. We would stay again.
This secluded, bucolic lodge with friendly and helpful staff, superlative dining (at a good value!), a relaxing private beach, trails and other activities is our favorite resort to escape from the anxieties of our big city!
Air conditioning was a plus. Food was good. Staff was pleasant.
Pillows were like rocks. Windowsills, bathroom floor and overall dusting could have been better. Bathroom needs a table or shelf to accommodate toiletries.
Staff is very friendly food is good
Main building was great, stay in second building was not as clean , sink did not drain , was missing one window blind and rug was all stained. Would ask on our next stay to please give was a room in the main building. Will be visiting inn many times in the next four years because daughter will be attending college in ridge NH
Clean, attractive and comfortable room, excellent meals, wonderful lake and beach.
Bar and restaurant were clean. Many food choices and friendly service
Beds had no headboard. Just pushed against a wall, haven't seen such a small tv in years.
I liked the feel and warm energy of the place. And the setting is so beautiful.
Nothing to complain about
the service staff were friendly and helpful.. I liked the dining facilities on the property.
I would have enjoyed a dinner on Sunday night.
Everything: Staff, Owners, location, quiet.
Nothing comes to mind.
Location near the lake and the private beach quite nice.
Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Service in the restaurant was very slow.
Excellent food, nice service in a comfortable setting. Nice to have the lovely beach access to the lake, though didn't realize the distance (would of brought bug spray) Beautiful setting, would come again!!!
Room had AC, though it was an older molder unit, and made noises if the setting was too high. Time for an update on the T.V.-the room was fine, we expect a bed and breakfast to be rustic, but the TV update goes a long way.
Rudy, the owner, is eager to please and personable. The place is very new england. Been there since early 1800's. Great "grill" food all nights and world class fine dining.(on thursday-sat) Clean rooms. Great location just a few minutes to Peterboro. Quiet and relaxing. This is our 2nd visit and we will be coming back for many more years.
That we couldn't stay longer!
breakfast was delicious, staff was very accomodating
accomodations were a bit spartan but serviceable
We love the Woodbound since Rudy and Laura have taken over.
The WiFi is simply not up to current standards. The pub and restaurant need to focus on local sourcing, especially of meats.
Bed very comfy. Bath updated and clean. Friendly staff.
unfortunately, there was the smell of polyurethane in the room. I opened all the windows to exchange air. After dinner, need to shut them due to cold weather. Smell returned during the night.
The food in the restaurant was good. Both dinner and breakfast provide good options.
The room has not been updated in several years. The double beds are too small. The coverlet is not washed between guests and looks quite old and used. The furniture should all be replaced for more updated items.
It was quiet, their breakfast was really good.
Rooms were very small. Bed was so hard it was hard to fall asleep.
