Location to mass transit, restaurants and night life.
Breakfast was poor, not a lot of effort made by staff in execution of meal.
Excellent accomodation, staff, facilities. A social hub for international travellers. Felt really welcome. A great place all round. Definitely recommend it to all.
There is nothing really to dislike about a stay at this hostel.
The staff where all very helpful and attentive to all guests.
I slept with three girls in one room
But they went to a club without me
My sheets smelled fresh and my room was cool in the heat of summer. Slept quietly.
The location, it is soooooo close to Wrigley Field and the subway so it´s perfect for going out to town
My room had the water heather or something like that and it made noise at night
Cozy, clean and with a great breakfast.
The hostel is centrally located and just blocks away from great nightlife, food and baseball games. The staff were friendly and the hostel has a very open/positive culture that is nutired by the guests who travel from all parts of the world and country.
Sometimes it's the small things that make the biggest difference. Examples: there was no hand soap or hand towels in the bathrooms on my first stay. I've never stayed at any hostel where these bare minimums weren't provided for. In all fairness I've stayed there a subsequent time and found both hand soap and towels but it seems like it may be hit or miss. Another small but important detail is that the room we stayed in didn't have AC. The showers function with little water pressure and it's like taking a shower out of a garden hose. I think of they could improve on those three fronts this might have been rated higher.
Personnel very helpful and kind. WiFi working perfectly 24/7. Breakfast is okay.
Location is pretty bad. No bus or subway stations near. Really badly ubicated. Too high price for such a hostel. 25$ on taxi from the Hostel to Downtown.
The staff: they totally went out of their way with things and offered much help (e.g. let me shower the day I had already checked out and pick up luggage late at night). Ideal location. Breakfast with fresh fruit.
Wifi was too weak and unstable in rooms. There should have been more outlets in rooms too. My dorm was a bit cramped.
Great location and the building has its charm.
Dust bunnies under the beds.
I loved the location, I could easily walk to Wrigley Field and the train. The building is an old brownstone type that has been converted, but it is clean and kept up great. The staff was helpful and the other guests were friendly.
The only thing I didn't like was I didn't know I had to have a key deposit of $5.00, but they took another item for a deposit, which made it fine.
Conveniently located on the red line, close to the Cubs stadium, and in a funky old building. Good common room and kitchen.
The set in a century-old building, it's a shame the bathrooms were of the same vintage ! Dirty, and the shower a feeble dribble...
Great common area for meeting people as a solo traveler. Best hotspot for night life and not too far away from downtown city centre.
Security, lounge area, large shower
Rooms a bit cramped
The overall condition of the hostel is very good indeed, i'm pretty satisfied with everything. Plus, they have homemade pancakes and other good breakfast, i really like them.
I came in the hostel at 2:30 am and the sign is so small that i cannot be able to discover it in time.
The staff is really nice, and if you want to get a place where you can move easy, this would be it.
In general services are not that good, may be it would be cheap if you book it with enough time, but if you do it at last minute, you wont be really happy with the services that you get from the money you are paying.
Having breakfast ready everyday was great. People were very nice. Good times
Could use more eating area not facing a wall
The breakfast is Excellent. The location is even more excellent.
The hostel has a sma eating area.
Great staff, free hot breakfast of pancakes and fruit. Colorful and fun interior design, good amount of bathrooms. Good location, great price. Free street parking.
The water pressure of the shower was very low, and the wifi was iffy. Also our room was right next to the storage room, and people kept turning the light on at night. Wouldn't be a problem if the window had a curtain or blinds, but light shown right onto the beds at night. Walls are rather thin so bring eat plugs or purchase from them. These were all manageable things, overall worth the price and the stay!
The club crawl was a great way to get to know your fellow hostel occupants.
The ubication is excellent!
May be important that the attendants will speak english and will offer more and adequate information for guest. Besides, to forbid that people or groups laugh and loud talk at late night.
I loved the location - top notch - half a block from Wrigley - the staff was great, very attentive, also other guests were great people
Only problem we ran into was very spotty internet connection, probably could not be helped since many people were using it
The pancakes in the morning were amaZing! The staff was super friendly!
Walls are paper thin...good luck with a solid sleep throughout the night. Worth the sacrifice for location though! Check in time isn't until 2p. Half of the cubs games start at 1:20p kind of inconvenient. Maybe think about changing check in based on game time.
