The location is unbeatable with great shopping and restaurants all within walking distance.
The property has heavy traffic and is showing signs of that aspect. Our room was clean but didn't feel new or newer.
Hotel staff housekeeping knocks on your earlier for housekeeping 8am on a Saturday.
Hotel staff is nice and willing to resolve issues.
The suite was in 4th floor and cannot see the street. When I call the hotel, they told me that it is 16th floor through booking.com, but when we arrived, their record is different from the one I booked using booking.com. It took us a long time to complete the check-in. Also, it is not good to live here with kids, there is even no swimming pool for kids to play. Disappointed with this hotel.
It's a nice, higher-end hotel. Nothing unique.
Yes, it is my own fault for not reading the fine print. But it is the first hotel I've patronized in over ten years that charged the full rate+tax when we canceled the first of our two nights there, despite being assured by the reception clerk that the cancellation was not a problem. There are other hotels on Michigan Ave; we look forward to trying one of them in the future. And we will doublecheck the fine print.
When we arrived they had out reservation but said they were sold out of rooms. So after about 30 minutes they did finally get ous rooms but not rooms we paid for
I like the Starbucks in the lobby and the location was excellent!!
Didn't like that I had to keep asking the housekeeper for towels everyday
Location and staff were the best part. I am a big Starwood and Westin fan so maybe the bar was slightly lower. It is a bigger hotel so not intimate if that is what you want but for Chicago tourism in a well run hotel, it is perfect.
I couldn't stay longer.
View of Michigan Ave from our window & the friendly, eager to please staff.
The $68 parking fee! With tips this is too much.
The location cannot be beat! Located steps away from the John Hancock center. Directly on Michigan Avenue and the middle of all the great shopping. Price was right.
Rooms were small but nice.
Lake view room worth paying extra for
No swimming pool
location was amazing
we got a good deal but if I had to pay standard rate for what we got, it would have been far too expensive
Decent location, friendly staff during check in procedure
enormous rate for a room overlooking a dumpy roof the upcharge of wireless after excessive room rate room not ready til 430pm when check in was 3pm
Loved the size of the rooms. Bathroom was excellent. Location was perfect for exploring Chicago.
Staff not very friendly. Website boasts city views. This is not true in every room. Back of hotel looks into other buildings. 18th floor or above does see the beach. Food and drink expensive in hotel.
Location, I have written this down before but did not see where it was recorded so I will do it again
1.Alarm clock not working.2 Not clean under the bed 3. I had to get under the bed to plug in lamps .. 4 no shampoo 5. This could have been a real issue, the toliet leaked @ the bottom and someone could have been badly injured, did tell people and they said they were sorry and that was about it ....not good customer service in my opinion....
Location next to Hancock Building was a plus as it was so easy to tell how far away your hotel was...just look up!
Wi-fi not available in rooms without charge...in this day and age!!
Location was great
Hotel provided no details of anything. When asking for deatils they had to be dragged out of the staff. It was simple things what time checkout was and what we had to do to get the free wifi that we were told would be provided. Very bad service.
Great size rooms. Room service was great too . location close to everything.
Old fashioned rooms. View in 1735 awful. Advice need to go 18th floor or above for view.
The location was ideal and staff was very nice.
There was a professional team at hotel which increased the traffic with the ladies of the night.
Comfortable beds, hotel seemed very clean and bar / restaurant was convenient.
Parking cost was a bit high as compared to competitors. Also, was hard to sleep past 8AM as the hallways were very noisy. Staff could be heard talking loudly with other guests in the hallway and other guests children running up and down the halls screaming. Maybe consider a couple "family floors" that could help to isolate this inconvenience????
cost of parking for residents is crazy especially when u can park in a nearby car park for way cheaper. needs to be looked at.. also wifi should be free for guests i feel
Quiet rooms Size of rooms
The location was brilliant, the concierge was extrememly helpful. They upgraded my room and gave me free wifi, the view was fabulous, the room was excellent. The staff gave me a surprise cake and card for my birthday.
Wifi in Lobby a bit sketchy
I like everything !
No slippers, just one rob , only 1 shampoo...bit noise from the room next door...other than this was excelent
Staff was very friendly, the room was nice and clean as well. Also, the location is perfect.
Pretty tight space in the rooms- not very spacious.
