Range of drinks in the bar was limited.
Very comfortable room, maintained to a very high standard throughout the stay.
Floor to ceiling windows all around the room with FANTASTIC views; fabulous location with views of the Empire State one way and the Freedom Tower the other; and even better staff! Thank you Massy, Shon Un and Vanessa for making our trip so good. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Full of help, courtesy and kindness. A truly great hotel staffed by great people. We reckon this is one of Wyndhams flagship hotels. Set in busy Chinatown with all it's restaurants; minutes from little Italy; minutes by train from Times Square and a quick walk to 9/11 memorial and Wall Street. Perfect. Just perfect. The hotel... And the staff. Where in New York could you lie in bed and see the Empire State and Chrysler Tower lit up one way, and at the same time see Freedom Tower and Wall Street lit up. And by the way Mr. Wyndham, promote Shun, Massy and Vanessa... They care about their customers. They really care!
Had nothing to do with the hotel, but instead was the smell of the subway as we exited that wreaked of fish.
This hotel was located in the center of Chinatown and two blocks from Little Italy. Just a short walk to the subway station made it convenient. View out our corner room on the 9th floor was amazing looking toward the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. We could watch the city wake up with street vendors each morning and yet watch the town all night as the lights continued till daylight. Closer to the 9/11 Memorial, we walked all of the lower Manhattan area without any problems, but could have hopped a bus or subway had we chosen.
Its a great hotel. the location isn't the best but some rooms have a very good view of downtown. It offered us a perspective of Manhattan different of the one that I had on my first trip to New York.If you are not staying for the first time in the city, stay way from midtown and upper side can save you some money and offer a new experience. The installations are new and the design is great. I also liked the breakfast and the staff was friendly. I would stay there for a second time.
Everything was perfect- location, view from 16th floor, nice Staff... we've had great stay. Very fast wifi, big bed :-)
All good it's a 10 in my book
Absolutely everything and the front desk help especially Massey was amazing!
New hotel. Clean rooms. Free wifi. Very friendly staff. Good Japanse orientated restaurant in the basement of the hotel. Great view from the rooms on the higher floors. Close to Grand Street Subway station. In the middle of the Chinatown.
The front desk attendants are so friendly and very attentive to your personal needs.. The location is great right near everything! Great hotel very clean and comfortable! I have stayed more than half a dozen times and will stay again very soon!
A gentleman in the Front desk was somehow chilly and masterful to minorities even though he also seemed to have Chinese figure.
Good to stay
Having a front room traffic noise can be annoying early morning.
Excellent facilities and staff, room clean and comfortable.
The shared wall of the bathroom/bedroom in the 11th floor queen deluxe room had a white opague tint window. It was a very modern touch, but when the lights were on in the bathroom you could see the body outline of whoever was in there and what they were doing. Which is fine for couples, but if you're staying with someone that's not your significant other, it could be awkward!
The floor to ceiling view was fantastic. We stayed in a queen deluxe on the 11th floor the first two nights, and when we decided to extend our stay another night we had to move to a king on the 16th floor. Which was an even better upgrade! The bedroom was a corner room with two walls of floor to ceiling windows. Had a straight view of the Empire State building from the bed. Even the bathroom had a floor to ceiling window! Very modern decor and clean. I loved the pictures in the hallway of old Chinatown.
The bathroom shower. Water splashed outside of shower. Perhaps there could be a mat on outside to avoid water getting on floor.
We liked the view from our windows. The food in downstairs restaurant was excellent as we ate there 3,times. The staff was friendly and smiled. Hotel wa very clean and well maintained. We plan to stay there again.
Rooftop bar closed
Cleanliness of room, location, pretty quiet for location
the planning of the taxi ride to the airport. It was Chinese New Year, though, heavily complicating the planning for the hotel staff.
The location and the view
The staff was fabulous.
The window is thin. Could hear the car at night.
Near restaurant and good location.
Location is great。 Very close to Metro station，2-3mins walking distance. Great Chinese restaurants in surrounding area.
Horrible staff. Horrible rooms. Not at all as depicted in the pictures. The website makes this place look great but in actuality its dreadful. Rooms were freezing and I myself had to point out where all the drafts were coming in the windows. They post havinga skyline view bar but it was in fact never open and is run by an outside source not the hotel at all.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean and nicely set up. Location was awesome, about 2 min walk to little Italy!
Sofa bed was horrible
Great value and a convenient location.
No resturant or bar open
Nice views from bedtoom
Knowing construction, with the amount of money invested in the property, the person who did the trim along the floor base, did a terrible job, depreciating the appearance of quality. These details shouldn't have been rushed or overlooked. The bar was closed for the day.
The city view from our room. We were pleased with the service, and the hotel holding our bags while we waited for our room to open, was a help so we didn't need to carry them around while we waited.
In the heart of Chinatown, this is an unpretentious, comfortable and very friendly hotel.
