The shower door was only once piece of immovable glass letting water from the shower fall on the floor, leaving puddles of water after every shower
The room was nice and clean

Well, *if* we had come with lots of luggage, the room would have felt cramped.
It's in Chinatown. 2-3 blocks from Little Italy. So many authentic restaurants in the area serving great food and drinks. Clean, new rooms. Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff. This is our perfect retreat for our weekend getaways in NYC.

Two of the front desk people were totally unfriendly, but that was made up for by the politeness of the others.
Loved the location- so central, amazing restaurants in every direction, close to the subway. Our room was wonderfully maintained and clean, and the beds were super comfortable with great pillows and soft, clean linens.

Location is really bad unless your are chineese as China Town is dirty and smelly area of NYC. Further this hotel is far from Times Square approximately 3 miles
Price, room size better as compared to other NYC hotels and cleanliness

Room smelled of cigarette smoke. Climate control didn't work--couldn't get cool air. Shower design makes puddles on the bathroom floor inevitable. Bowery is still pretty creepy to walk on at night.
Room was clean, staff seemed okay.

No proper shower door/curtain so hard to control. Breakfast not delivered when hung out card, when we took it in the restaurant it was pretty poor quality. There is not much choice for breakfast within 5 minutes walk, you need to go further out of Chinatown and Little Italy to find something.
The view from our 11th floor standard room and the fact that it was pretty quiet. Really comfortable bed and by NY standards sufficient space for a basic room. Reception were good and friendly too.

the staff; the slamming doors in the hallway; loud voices in hallway, including those of staff; taking $50 off your credit card for up to a week after you leave (is there even a minibar??).

Great location for transport and friendly staff

Not all rooms are spacious or have a view as showed in the hotel photos. Our request (done much in advance before arrival) for an upper floor room was declined during check-in. No bin in the room, bathroom towels need to be renewed. It would also be good to have soft drinks in the minibar at least, it was empty.

great location, very friendly staff

The only shame was that the restaurant at higher floor in the hotel was changing management so was closed at the time but that is not really the hotel's fault. There was still a bar at ground floor and another restaurant at basement.
Everything! We stayed at Wyndham Garden Chinatown on our honeymoon and were given a room with access to a fantastic terrace with the best views of New York!!! The room was very nice, bed comfortable with floor to ceiling windows (even in bathroom), staff nice and helpful. There are a couple of metro stations a few minutes away. If you like Chinatown this is a perfect place to stay. We recommend Wyndham Garden Chinatown and hopefully will come back one day.

Did not really like the shower stall, as the glass only covers half of the stall; so water can leak out easily. Also the faucet of the shower is a bit hard to manage.
Front desk staff Massy was very helpful. We traveled in a group of 9 and arrived at around 1 pm & Massy was able to check us in early. The day we were leaving, Massy also let us stayed one hour longer than the regular check out time. He also helped us to get the cab to the airport. Location is great, metro station (Grant St) is just a few minutes walk. Hotel is close to Chinatown and Little Italy, so lots of restaurants within walking distance. Bedding is good & room is clean and modern.

Range of drinks in the bar was limited.
Very comfortable room, maintained to a very high standard throughout the stay.

Floor to ceiling windows all around the room with FANTASTIC views; fabulous location with views of the Empire State one way and the Freedom Tower the other; and even better staff! Thank you Massy, Shon Un and Vanessa for making our trip so good. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Full of help, courtesy and kindness. A truly great hotel staffed by great people. We reckon this is one of Wyndhams flagship hotels. Set in busy Chinatown with all it's restaurants; minutes from little Italy; minutes by train from Times Square and a quick walk to 9/11 memorial and Wall Street. Perfect. Just perfect. The hotel... And the staff. Where in New York could you lie in bed and see the Empire State and Chrysler Tower lit up one way, and at the same time see Freedom Tower and Wall Street lit up. And by the way Mr. Wyndham, promote Shun, Massy and Vanessa... They care about their customers. They really care!

Had nothing to do with the hotel, but instead was the smell of the subway as we exited that wreaked of fish.
This hotel was located in the center of Chinatown and two blocks from Little Italy. Just a short walk to the subway station made it convenient. View out our corner room on the 9th floor was amazing looking toward the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. We could watch the city wake up with street vendors each morning and yet watch the town all night as the lights continued till daylight. Closer to the 9/11 Memorial, we walked all of the lower Manhattan area without any problems, but could have hopped a bus or subway had we chosen.

Its a great hotel. the location isn't the best but some rooms have a very good view of downtown. It offered us a perspective of Manhattan different of the one that I had on my first trip to New York.If you are not staying for the first time in the city, stay way from midtown and upper side can save you some money and offer a new experience. The installations are new and the design is great. I also liked the breakfast and the staff was friendly. I would stay there for a second time.

New hotel. Clean rooms. Free wifi. Very friendly staff. Good Japanse orientated restaurant in the basement of the hotel. Great view from the rooms on the higher floors. Close to Grand Street Subway station. In the middle of the Chinatown.

A gentleman in the Front desk was somehow chilly and masterful to minorities even though he also seemed to have Chinese figure.
Good to stay
