In the heart of Chinatown, this is an unpretentious, comfortable and very friendly hotel.
It's a lovely clean and comfortable hotel in a smashing location. We've stayed at several places in a similar price bracket but now just stay at the Wyndham if we can. Just never had anything to complain about.
Everything about this hotel was excellent in the eyes of a quite discriminating couple. Surprisingly modern and spotless on the edge of a not so clean area of the city. The staff was so kind and helpful. We definitely want to come back to stay here again, top notch!
There is nothing negative we could find with this lovely hotel. Even the 9th floor windows inside and out were clean!
I loved everything about this hotel. It's pretty and renovated on the inside, and it's quiet. I had a downtown view and the balcony wrapped around. The room was bigger than I thought it would be, so that was quite nice. I would definitely stay here again.
The only thing I wasn't 100 percent on board with it was more like 95 percent was the location. It was close to the Brooklyn bridge and little Italy. Chinatown isn't as clean as some of the other areas but if you walk a couple blocks it's fine again. The subway is close dro if you don't want a 20 dollar cab ride at three in the morning from uptown you probably won't like the area as cab prices only go up from there. I really did not mind staying there but I wouldn't recommend taking the subway anytime passed one and walking around but that's really anywhere in NYC, like I said I would stay again!
This hotel looks like it doesn't belong here in the heart of Chinatown, but it is so nice, affordable, near Little Italy, SoHo, and public transport. Also charming Chinatown restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel was clean, affordable, and the staff were nice. My room even had a balcony with incredible views of the Empire State Building.
On site restaurant closed very early on Sunday night. But besides that I'm going there again soon, but with my family.
Reception and cleaning staff very friendly Very clean hotel Comfortable bed and nice size room
Location, too far from attractions Hotel food choice very limited restaurant staff very remote
The Price The location The amenities
The room was a little small but the price and the location made up for it.
Well I made the reservation for three people and they only gave us one bed no sofa bed that was the only bad thing
It's surprising when you see this building in the middle of the Chinatown. Made of glass among chinese shops and restaurants. Modern hotel with good price relation to its location. Located in Manhattan but not with so high prices. Easy access to busess and subway give you opportunity to visit most of the interesting places in NYC. Brooklyn bridge within walking distance
Waiter at breakfast. Always had problems and he looked at us as we had killed his family. Rest of the personnel was very friendly and nice.
Bordering Little Italy, within walking distance of Broadway, the Freedom Building, Brooklyn Bridge etc... Yet very quiet, private with unobstructed views of Manhattan and famous buildings! The cocktail bar also good.
On our first morning we tried the restaurant below ground: very dark for that time of the day! The coffee was almost cold... My husband asked for eggs: how basic is that for b/fast!!! they had run out of eggs and that was at about 8.00!!! The service was poor and uncaring: what a let down for such a beautiful modern hotel that has so much to offer! We walked out and found a little place that had everything and more with excellent service! We went back every morning and were never disappointed: on the contrary!!!
I loved the view from the 12th floor, the room was cozy.
The room temp was cold at night, even though we turned the heat all the way up, it was cold
We were happy with the location, 1 mile walk to NYU. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was large by NYC standards
We stayed on the second floor, windows facing Bowery and it was somewhat noisy. Try to stay on a higher level floor. The bathroom is very small.
Clean, modern rooms friendly staff location - close to metro, Chinatown and Little Italy views from rooftop
Like most NY hotels, rooms can be relatively small Being on a busy intersection, front and lower level rooms can be somewhat noisy
New, nice and design hotel. not to noisy (we stayed in the 12th floor) with a beautiful view of the city. not so far from the subway station I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Location, wifi, didn't use the 18 floor lounge bar, but gather has a good view. Sweets at Halloween. Proximity to subway and frequency of cabs
Being asked to pay a tip by the car service for simply providing a service. Couldn't even speak American and know which terminal. No drop off area meant driving to the hotel is not easy.
Loved the location and cleanliness. Loved everything except the terrible breakfast... Worst breakfast I've ever had at any hotel, and one of the Young waiters needs training in customer care. Desk staff were helpful
Bad breakfast, poor choice, not welcoming restaurant
Hotel was about 2 blocks from subway, so very convenient - can get anywhere. Bed was very comfortable - great sleep. Room was clean. Staff very helpful and freindly. Ordered room service for breakfast - Quick, food was hot, tasted good. There is a rooftop bar but we did not get to go. I would stay here again.
The only thing that I would change was that on the way to the subway you need to pass a fish market and the smell is not the best.
When we arrived we were upgraded to 15th floor adjoining rooms with a common balcony. It was the highlight of our trip! The view was amazing! Plus the room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The staff (especially Janice at the front desk) were very friendly and accommodating.
The only drawback was the parking. It is valet parking only and we were not aware of this until our arrival. It took a while to figure it out and it was hard to pull up in front of the hotel because we were heading south. We had to continue south and work our way back to the front of the hotel. It is not a big deal but it would have been nice to know this prior to our arrival. I called ahead to ask about parking and was told it was $45/day but no mention of valet. It took about 20 minutes for them to bring the car around upon our departure.
Convenient to Chinatown. Very clean. Nice toiletries provided. Check-in staff.
Great location next to Chinatown and SoHo. Fab views from our 15th floor balcony!! Good rooms with excellent bathrooms, comfortable beds. Helpful staff, especially Janice who was professional and courteous.
Lack of decent in-house restaurant, although there are countless Italian and Chinese within a short walk. Breakfast was rubbish - avoid.
Proximity to subway station. Nice lively neighbourhood. Pleasant staff. Nice restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. Great view, at least from out room.
Great location. Good breakfast (oatmeal porridge, egg & bacon and french toast among available choices). Large room!
The hotel is a walkable distance to Soho, Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Chinatown.
The uptown subway is not easily accessed from the location.
