This elegant hotel is in the historic Ames building in downtown Boston, 2 miles from the Back Bay area. It features a 24-hour fitness center. Cable TV and a minibar are found in all rooms at the Ames....
Score from 390 reviews Very good
The hotel was everything we hoped for, we are lucky to got the room since the other stay we were staying was very uncomfortable due to construction happening right outside our room window. It was the one of the best hotel, we will be back when we get back for sure. I LOVE IT THERE!
Location ... Staff treated us great
No issues at all
Quiet and comfortable. Good location close to downtown area.
No airport shuttle.
The close at 11 pm, to early And the valet service to expensive
Very good location on Blossom and Cambridge street near Beacon hill. 10 mins to Metro snd frw stop to MIT and Harvard.
The bath room stinks.I have to close bath room door all the time plus I have to buy air refresher foruse abd I left it in the room for the next customer.
The hotel was very nice, clean comfortable rooms. The restaurant was very nice as well.
They couldn't find our booking.com reservation even shoeing them the confirmation. We had to sit in the lobby while they tried to find it..which they eventually did. We couldn't get any digital channels on our TV..NBC, ABC, CBS or FOX..but they did switch out the TV. They charged us $48. for valet parking which we didn't use. Luckily we noticed it on the bill and they did remove the charge.
The staff was extremely courteous. They did not have my reservation on file when I arrived, but took care of this and had me in a room quickly. The restaurant on site was convenient and the food was good. The servers were excellent!
The only complaint I had was a parking valet charge was added to my bill for one of the nights. I didn't have a car. They fixed my bill immediately and apologized, but remember to check the hotel bill before checkout!
The daily offered complementary 2 bottles of water. The apple basket at the reception. Room is big. Good location.
Breakfast isn't included. No safe in the room. Safes are with the reception.
Everyone was great from the moment we walked in the front door. Our room was very comfortable and clean and so close to everything. The only drawback was the rainy-cold weather. This is a good location to go to the Garden, The Boston Commons and Quincy Market. The breakfast was excellent but expensive. I would go back and intend to do so in the spring.
There was nothing to dislike.
The hotel is comfortable and clean.
Kindness of staff. Location
Wi-Fi connection slow Air conditioning noisy Breakfast too expensive, should be included Parking too expensive ($48 per day) 80's like decoration
We liked the cleanliness, size and beds are comfortable.
We didn't like the noise from the air conditioning system. It woke us up every night when it started. It is kind of like big noisy fan.
Wifi was slow
Loved boston good location as well
Hotel is next to hospital in which you can here sirens
This hotel couldn't be better situated if you need to be at the hospital. The staff are helpful, we even got upgraded without additional cost to a suite when they saw we travel with wheelchair and walker. The parking attendants and concierge couldn't be nicer offering us assistance at every turn. Room was large, easy to navigate and we loved the walk in closet.
Only issue was the sofa bed used by our adult son was poor quality and left him with a sleepless night.
parking charge came in at 7pm but was charged for an additional day after 2. it should be 24 hour period
Location, friendly staff
Seemed a bit...like a budget hotel
We enjoyed the downtown location. However, the west end is a bit out of the way, and I did not realize we would be right next to Mass. General Hospital
For over $400 dollars per night for a very mediocre room, I would have expected for breakfast to be included. No discount on parking is offered for hotel customers. Internet service is terrible.
location, friendliness, valet parking, walking distance to Quincy market and Beacon Hill, very close to airport
False fire alarm at 10 am and not knowing what was going on.
Cleanliness and location
Room and shower was awesome.
TV connection was poor, wifi did not work.
Good location, close to shops and t-stops. Even though now a Wyndham, still a Holiday Inn, just at Wyndham prices.
Location to downtown and TD Gardens
Rooms were extremely small for a $300+ value.
