This hotel couldn't be better situated if you need to be at the hospital. The staff are helpful, we even got upgraded without additional cost to a suite when they saw we travel with wheelchair and walker. The parking attendants and concierge couldn't be nicer offering us assistance at every turn. Room was large, easy to navigate and we loved the walk in closet.
Only issue was the sofa bed used by our adult son was poor quality and left him with a sleepless night.
parking charge came in at 7pm but was charged for an additional day after 2. it should be 24 hour period
Location, friendly staff
Seemed a bit...like a budget hotel
We enjoyed the downtown location. However, the west end is a bit out of the way, and I did not realize we would be right next to Mass. General Hospital
For over $400 dollars per night for a very mediocre room, I would have expected for breakfast to be included. No discount on parking is offered for hotel customers. Internet service is terrible.
location, friendliness, valet parking, walking distance to Quincy market and Beacon Hill, very close to airport
False fire alarm at 10 am and not knowing what was going on.
Cleanliness and location
Room and shower was awesome.
TV connection was poor, wifi did not work.
Good location, close to shops and t-stops. Even though now a Wyndham, still a Holiday Inn, just at Wyndham prices.
Location to downtown and TD Gardens
Rooms were extremely small for a $300+ value.
Location was convenient
Needs quite a bit of updating. Too expensive for the quality
The meeting by the front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. The check in was quick, efficient and professional. The room was spacious, well presented and furnished.
Having to pay for wifi in the room - this should have been included as standard for the price of the room.
Location is excellent Room was comfortable
Wifi was poor / non existent Restaurant was clumsy Service was Mediocre
Really enjoyed our stay, good location, easy walk to centre and cambridge
Remote didn't work but was quickly replaced and wifi was terrible
The location of this hotel was good.
The cleanliness of the room wasn't up to standard. I waited at reception to speak to someone but was totally ignored as receptionist was dealing with other guests, an acknowledgement would have been nice !
Great staff, location and very, very, clean.
Only the slow WIFI. If I had to work, this would not have been a good thing.
Close to two metro stations, red and blue lines. There's a supermarket in the same building.
A little noisy, because it's close to a surface train. Nothing that bothered myself, but if you have difficulties to sleep, ask for a room far from the train. The cost-benefit relation of the breakfast in the hotel is really poor. Although, you'll find more value for your money at two bakeries and a Starbucks one block away.
Staff, location & food
slow internet,uncomfortable bed and pillow
The staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
This hotel is extremely expensive for such an ageing property with very few amenities. Not good value for money.
I would rate it as an average 3-star hotel. In terms of location it is close to historic Beacon Hill residential area, but you will need to walk 10-15 mins to get to Boston Commons park. Overall, the venue is quite clean and the room was rather spacious (we stayed on the executive floor), the bed was comfortable.
The facility looks rather old - you can easily notice that in the bathroom, or by looking at the doors and walls of your room. No safe in the room, the Wi-Fi is free but extremely slow. The restaurant is small and the food was not very tasty. I got an impression that they are overall understaffed (cost reduction?) which means that the remaining employees seem to be overloaded with their tasks, and you can see it in their attitude to customers - some employees from the front desk and restaurant staff were not friendly at all. When we asked for a good restaurant recommendation at the front desk the employee said he would need to print out something, went away and never came back (we left after 10 mins waiting)...Still it is somewhat cheaper than some other hotels in Boston downtown. You will get the basic service here, but just don't expect too much.
