Score from 2002 reviews Very good
Good Location, even that dont haw double window its was quiet no noise, a lot of public transportation options close to there. You also may have a lot of restaurants close apart from the hotel one, we didnt visit it.
Maybe the room size but it is not a real problem, has what you need
The guy at the front desk was so helpful and made great recommendations. I would stay again for the price
Everything was amazing from rooms, lobby, clean room every day, staff perfect, location could not be better, what can you ask for?
Very friendly staff at the reception desk (who had to perform in a very windy and cold reception area, because of automic doors that didn't work.....) Location: there is quite a bit of construction in the street. This will certainly improve the looks of the street eventually. Just across the street is this wonderful branch of 'Eataly'.
Free wifi only available at minimum standards. For better connection you are charged with $ 7.95.
Great service Clean room
The room is unexpectedly small. I know it is a city location but the room size does not match the price.
Near the subway. Clean and comfortable. wifi had very strong signal.
no water kettle and heater/aircon had strange noises.
It was awesome value
I was in 1404. The beds were very comfortable! Tv offered ESPN HD so w were able to watch the Rose Bowl games in comfort. It was one of the larger rooms I had stayed in in NYC.
Check in is at 3:00 but my room on the 14th floor wasn't ready until 4:15. They offered to give me a different room on the 9th at 2:30 when I went to check in, but I told them I would wait. We checked in at 5:00 and there was still someone working on getting the room ready when we walked in...so I guess it wasn't really ready when they said it would be. Our view was directly into a set of office buildings, but it's NYC, so that's expected. Other than those small things , it was a great place in Chelsea to stay!
The hotel was great - very central. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, would have happily taken it home. Staff were lovely, friendly and very accommodating.
The staff made you feel like a VIP.
Not the hotel's fault but the excellent restaurant attached was booking for a private event the night we were there.
Great location, Eataly is right across the street. Easy distance from Midtown/Times Square to the north, and Soho/Village to the south. Very nicely maintained hotel. Rooms are clean and up to date. Friendly, helpful staff.
Rooms are small, not much room to move around.
Good central location.
The bedroom had a very big bed but very little space around it. The cleaning standard was variable.
- Bed was comfortable - Location was ideal - Staff was friendly and helpful
- HVAC was drafty - Shower curtain didn't stay in, leading to floods - I mistakenly thought there was complimentary breakfast
The location was great
The shower was dirty
The customer care
Room cleaners way of announcing themselves ! ( knocking loud at next doors)
the service was fantastic, friendly responsive, helpful. All the staff we encountered were friendly which to us is one of the main ingredients of a happy stay. We loved the location easy to walk into Chelsea but also close to eateries and shops around the Flat Iron district and Eataly!! Easy to walk to so many places and that was what we wanted NYC is a city to enjoy on foot...We will recommend this place to everyone we know excellent value for money.
The hotel facilitated an upgrade to a front facing larger room (great room) with plenty of light and space for NYC. We loved the king size bed but the mattress was lumpy and needs changing but this wouldn't stop us from choosing this hotel again.
the location was excellent. good restaurants nearby. easy access to subway and buses.
the room was a bit poky and the view pretty grim - but to be expected from NYC. for sleeping it was fine.
It was bad, very convenient to stay in for a varied trip to new york as you are equal distance from Times Square and Greenwich Village. Free Wifi
I think the price I paid I think it would have been better to pay $20 more per night for a newer brand hotel
The heating system in room 908 roared like a jet engine. It was a choice of freezing or loud noise. We chose freezing, that is, until Lisa saved us and got us a much better room with a quiet heating system.
Room 608 faced two floors of offices across the street and no view of the sky. Room 1601 was fine, with a balcony and a view of the sky.
location, front desk staff, pillows
stained sheets, hair on bathroom floor, mold in shower and sink, dirty carpet
No recycling; no valet parking
Clean comfortable very good location comfy beds
Rather dark room should probably have gone higher up and extremely noisy building sites kept us awake so not a lot of sleep.
Good location, pleasant staff.
But the room was tiny, with barely space to navigate around the bed. If we opened the door to the bathroom the wardrobe had to be closed. A poor value for the $350+ we paid per night (including tax).
The Hotel is great! It is strategically located in Chelsea and it is well connected with subway.
I guess it needs improving on the cleanliness
