Staff was very helpful and most courteous... We plan to return for an extended stay when time permits...
Location - large bathroom - large bedroom
Free coffeein lobby would be nice
everything!... friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable room, all services worked as expected and right in the heart of it all.
The river view room was spectacular! Excellent location for a base camp. Very friendly & attentive staff. I ordered some items that I couldn't get in the UK to be delivered to the hotel. They were brought up to my room within minutes of arriving. We wasn't leaving until 10.00pm, so still had a full day of sightseeing. They happily stored my luggage until we left in the evening. Thank you to everyone at The Wyndham Grand
As others have stated, Wi-Fi was a bit hit & miss, but it did the job of planning trips & restaurants for the day ahead.
Beds were amazing
Location is great for exploring downtown Chicago. Had a river view room with very comfy beds and large bathroom.
Room was next to the elevators. We were disturbed on several occasions by people mistaking our doorbell for the elevator call button - very alarming during the night! Non existent free wifi in our room, but apparently ok in other rooms
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was excellent witb great views of Chicago. Would definitely come back!
Staff very helpful. Rooms extremely comfortable Little restaurant surprisingly good. The wait staff was excellent.. (Adam)
A very large cockroach, over an inch long, My husband killed it. Lighting in the suite on the 12th floor needs to be upgraded.
Didn't care for the valet-only parking
Clean room and comfortable bed
WiFi kept dropping
Beds are worn out and resturant food was over priced for the quality.
I like most everything in this hotel, where I've stayed with my family (husband and daughter) on numerous occasions. Rooms are comfortable and large, service is excellent, staff is wonderful: some staff members who have worked there for a long time recognize us when we come back and give us a royal welcome.
The only thing I miss in the room is a mini-fridge. The administration has apparently removed fridges in rooms.
The room was lovely, hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The location can't be beat!
The room was spacious and I would stay here again!
I would only suggest that when your guests ask about transportation to and from the United Center, they give more detailed info, such as where to catch the 20 bus when the show is over.
Good quality service and food also very accommodating to meet needs. Much appreciated free upgrade. Great location from train stations. Good radio. Well maintained back stairway, easily accessible as elevator alternative.
Lighting was dim in rooms.
We booked in advance a double bedroom (2 separate beds) with booking.com When we arrived we found out that the hotel have only a room with 1 king size bed. We asked how it was possible since we make a reservation in advance. They told us that with booking.com the hotel can not ensure the kind of the room reserved. I am a very easy and tolerant person but I think it is unacceptable to give a room with 1 bed if somebody reserved 2 separate bed. So finally I spent 220 US$ to sleep on the sofa.
Our room was not set up for four girls and we were always asking for items that should have been there (I.e. Coffee, toilet paper, iron, towels)
Perfect location right on the river, great views, and of course Michigan Ave just steps away from the front door. Many great dining options within walking distance.
It's a great location for river views and easy access into and out of downtown. Inexpensive.
Rooms are lackluster in styling and the level of furnishings felt inexpensive and dated. This hotel had more going for it in those departments when it was Hotel 71. Just don't expect something visually exciting or to have access to premium services and you'll be fine. I give it a B for Boring.
The position of this hotel is ideal. Right on the fringe of all this wonderful city has to offer. It is within walking distance to all main attractions. Accommodation was comfortable however somewhat dated. Overall a great stay.
All King rooms are opposite the elevators which makes it very noisy. I could not access the free wifi for our entire stay.
The location along the river was terrific. Our room was spacious with a great view. Very surprising for what we paid- $155 per night for a Sunday-Monday in March.
The Wi-Fi did not work. The room was up to date except for the shower-which was dirty and the finish in the tub was peeling. Hair in the shower- gross! We asked for extra towels but they sent up 2 wash cloths. Never did get any extra towels.
Hotel rooms were nice and clean staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is great.
plan to eat somewhere pet Tham the downstairs restaraunt
The staff was excellent and accomodating
