We loved the location of Wyndam. It was close to everything and everywhere.
The only thing I didn't like was the lack of simple things like a hair dryer in the room. We only had one small trash can for the whole room also.
The hotel was close to every place we wanted to go.
When checking in it took almost one hour in line. I had booked 2 rooms with King size beds. Both rooms had two double beds. Going to and from the room we had to change elevators, not convenient. For almost $200 a night there was no extras. Lesser hotels have refrigerators, continental breakfast, or at least free coffee. There was nothing. Room was not made up till after 4pm.
The room is large. The bathrooms small but new , clean showers and sinks.
It was not possible to get a good nights sleep with all the screaming in the halls. The concierge is no concierge at all, just A COMPANY EMPLOYEE HAWKING TIME SHARES.
Location is great. Staff is great. Did not realize we booked the same place we stayed years ago. A step up from the old holiday. Great pub with my favorite beer on tap attached
We decided late that we were going to go to New Orleans for a convention. I chose this hotel because of the location and price, although I think we got ripped off because Bookings.com took over the site I was on. I didn't realize it until it was too late! I think we were severely overcharged! But! The room was great, location was perfect, and the restaurant downstairs worked out very well. The staff greeted us each time we ventured back....as if they had missed us! Very nice! I would stay there again. Also, it was actually quiet there!
The bathroom was quite small, but we managed. Too bad the shower curtain wasn't installed a bit lower.....the first morning we had water on the floor! We learned how to *hook* the curtain after that.
We brought our 2 young kids and they put us on a "quiet" floor which was awesome! Perfect location, close to park, steps from Bourbon Street and cable car! Staff was so great! Will stay again for sure!
Elevators were so slow!!!!
Everyone was friendly and very accommodating of our early check in. Valet parking and room service also excellent. We we close to everything just in walking distance. .
We had to leave.
STaff was very helpful. King suite roomy and comfortable. Shower great.
Walking distance to mostly every French Quarter attraction. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was kept clean and comfortable.
The walls must be paper thin. Understandably, we expected the noise level to be excessive while visiting the week of Mardi Gras, but each adjoining rooms noise levels made it feel as if the guests were in our own room. Also, the city should use some of the tourism money to clean up the bums and homeless lying on the sidewalks across from the main entrance on Royal St.
The bed was awesome
Great location close to Bourbon St., Cafe Du Monde, and Harrah's Casino.
Too many homeless roaming around everywhere.
Waiting for the elevator
Room service staff when ordering food was very rude and when we received our food it was cold
The great location of this hotel is just the beginning of the awesome things about it. The beds and pillows were amazing, the staff amazingly friendly even in the chaos of Mardi Gras and the view from our floor was top choice. It rained during our stay so we were able to enjoy the parade as it traveled down Canal from our window. When it wasn't raining the closeness of Canal was a great!
The wifi never worked, even though we were given the password at check in, and the cable reception was pretty fuzzy.
That the area
The room was half clean stains on the cover on one of the bed and hair on the floor in the bathroom and a half roll of tissue and the price for parking has went up with taxes
People were nice and helpful
The first night they gave me a room with one bed & I had booked a room with 2 doubles, the new room they gave us was across from the ice machine & it was very noisy
The vanity in the bathroom
The fact that we were made to wear bracelets in order to come and go from the hotel. We are not cattle so why did we have to be branded. We also ended up paying more than we were advieetised online. They messed up my booking. They didn't inform anyone that all roads leadinf to the hotel were blocked. Took five hours to get to my hotel once i wasin ndw orleansI was only two blicks away from the hotel yet it took five hours ro get to it. I will never stay at another wynham again. I spend 410 for one night and had never been ao dissatisfied like this before. They are a big rip-off!!!!!
Location was excellent! Smash dab in the middle of french quarter and block from Bournon street! Lots of food choices closes also Popeyes, McDonalds, Subway, Ihop in very close proximity! Rooms were clean, hallways clean, lobby was very nice also.
Front desk attendant was kind of rude but other than that no complaints.
Great place for Mardi Gras. You walk out your door and into the party.
The parking, the hotel has valet parking but many of the streets were blocked off that made it almost impossible to drive to the hotel. We had to just park our car and walk.
Location!!! Location!!!! Location!!!!
Absolutely had a blast my husband and I can't wait to go next year so close to everything!!
The location was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Elevators were too slow
The customer service was great! The location was within numerous area of interest. The Valet guys (only) were very courteous.
The Hispanic female working on Valentine's Day @ approximately 3pm who assumed my race and didnt think anyone knew Spanish bit her and the Valet guys made some negative comments about patrons who were getting their vehicles, very unprofessional if you roll back the cameras, u will see the "neck rolls" and everything. I was living on the 12 floor and the hallway outside my room was nasty, a room service tray was left for pick up but the crumbs were left and was still there when we check out on Sunday.
Full of college students, loud, physical dispute, and false fire alarm at 4am
