1 of our room smelled like someone died in it. no other rooms available. sure maid service knew about problem. they tried to fix but needed another room. gm finally gave us room next night. elevators were really slow and door closed too quickly once they finally arrived. on check inn , my guest were not allowed to check in despite pre pay. I was told they could several times and evrn gave everyones name . Broken system between customer services and front desk..Once there, they claimed I can't have just my name on 2 different rooms. very strange.How do they handle company outings.

Staff was less than pleasant. If based on staff alone, we would not return to this location. Hot tub area poor.
Accomodations were outstanding. Great location. Very spacious rooms.

I did not find the bed and pillows very comfortable; but other than that the room and spaciousness was appreciated.
The location was perfect (no too far from everything in DC); but you also felt as though you were in your own "Town on an Island". The shuttle to and from DC was an added perk!

This was my 1st visit at this location...overwhelmed with regard to the surprises at check-in ($100.00 holding fee...really!?!?!?), I requested an upper floor apartment, we were placed in room 212. Extremely high traffic area (kids running amuck and loud drunks returning to their respective rooms or lost trying to find their room...look at the surveillance tapes). Oh, did I mention the freaking ice machine is located right at my front door!!! Requested another room, told nothing else available during my entire stay. Coughed all night from the stuff they sprayed in the rooms to make them smell nice...considering the price of the unit, they could have at least used Fabreeze!!! Very noisy air-conditioner (ac) and you really needed to use the AC...because you can not open the windows and you can not breath without the AC's attempt to ventilate the rooms. When the ac kicked in, every one woke- up...not to mention the loud ice-maker in the fridge. Three (3) three- pronged false eye lashes (including the scent of perfume) were found on three of the pillows located on the king-size bed...thank goodness each pillow had two pillowcases on them. Hbo was supposed to be on Channels 80 and/or 81...not!!!! No hbo for four days...oh my!!! No one warned us of the very early morning next door construction which consisted of constant pounding of metal to metal from 7:01 A.M. until noon and then it started up again around1:00 P.M. Constant telephonic harassment about the "feed back" complimentary breakfast. I said "no thanks" and received three early A.M. calls to reconsider. Toilet overflowed from upper floors and the general pubic Jacuzzi for two days of our four-day stay...YUCK!!! And the first clean-up crew left the soaking wet dirty towels that "I" used to mop up the filthy water that was flooding the bathroom!!!! Can I get a thank you for saving that foul carpet in the unit.

No microwave, no most minimal ability to provide warm snacks or a breakfast for a family with young children. It is not most convenient to go out for breakfast, and room service becomes monotonous or too much for kids.

There were little things missing from my room, such as coffee creamer, sugar, toothpaste, and lotion. I feel that those things should be included when paying as much as I did for the room.
The apartment time share I stayed in was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very accommodating when I needed extra items brought up to my room.

The location was not convenient to the monuments and National Mall. They need to add more shuttles so that the service to the National Mall is more convenient and reliable.
The space was great. We really had a lot of space to stretch out. The furniture was nice and clean. The amenities were great. The national harbor development itself was pretty, but generic.

The staff is not properly trained at customer service. There was no record I my reservation even through I was holding the confirmation e- mail. I had to resolve the issue myself - thy suggested that I call directly vs. going through booking.com for future reservations.
