I was staying there for a family funeral with my 2 little ones age 4 years old and 7 months. The staff was very helpful and extremely kind. I wod stay again.

The cigarette smelling room. The filthy carpet. The one bed room even though I booked a double bed room - there were 4 of us! The crappy food at the breakfast. The shitty tv. No lounge. Nothing nearby.

The tv's have got to be updated. New flat screens to fit the armoirs are not expensive and more energy effecient.

The absolute best thing about Wingate by Wyndham Commack/Long Island is the incredible staff. From the manager, Mr. Lew, to the front desk, Goodell and Carlos. From the maid, Louisa, to the entire cleaning and service staff. Every one of them were pleasant, helpful, and responded with a smile. However Wyndham trains there staff, bravo! I am staying at the hotel due to evacuation from hurricane Sandy. I cant believe Im saying this, but this staff made it a pleasurable experience. I am an occasional traveler and due to this experience I will always choose a Wyndham hotel expecting the same treatment throughout the chain.

The only thing I would change about Wingate by Wyndham Commack/Long Island is I would add a full service restaurant with a bar.

Found a box cutter knife behind the bathroom door. Woke by false fire alarm at 7 am when I desperately needed more sleep then they went off briefly again around 8 am.

Location and price

The furniture and carpet we filthy. Every chair had stains on it along with the carpet.

The parking lot was dirty with beer cans and food on the ground. My first room had a broken TV My second room was badly smelling of cigarettes in a non smoking room. My third room still had a damaged TV but I gave up by then.

The Breakfast was more extensive than we thought. It was fabulous.

Seems everyone likes to eat at the same time and the trash and tables weren't prepared to handle the amount of people.

The cleanliness, quietness, complimentary breakfast, gym, major department stores nearby and easy access to Sagtikos highway.

The pillows were very small.

The staffs at the Hotel were very friendly and very polite. I was very impressed with the shuttle service of the Hotel. I went to front desk to ask for a number for a cab office as I wanted to go to the shopping outlet not too far from the hotel. The staff at the front desk told me there is a car available to take me there free of charge and also come back and pick me up when I want. I was really impressed about that! Overall I did enjoy my stay at the hotel!

As much as I loved the welcome and ambience of this hotel I was seriously disappointed that the walls of the hotel room are not well insulated at all! You could hear a pin drop next door. I couldn’t sleep well as whoever was next door was snoring and It was like the person was in the same room with me. That is the ONLY fault with this great hotel

Our first room was very dusty. Mine and my husbands allergies were terrible due to all of the dust. The shower was dirty so we cleaned it. The next morning we found a tear drop shape bug in our room. The hotel changed our room the second day. Our second room was the same. The curtains were torn and there was a lot of mold on the wall paper in the bathroom. Not only were the rooms dirty but also the hotel hallways and elevators. The hotel was very dirty. My husband and I will never stay there again.

room was rather tired - - slightly stained upholstery; missing bumpers on toilet seat. noise lever in the room from road noise and from adjoining rooms was marginally satisfactory, but not as good as I would have hoped for

The setting of the room was great. Even the cafeteria.

My husb was doing his regular room check when we got in, the blanket had yellow stains on it. Look like sperm.it was a white blanket and yes it shows.

Hotel was nicely kept up with, staff is welcoming and there if you need them, good price, windows opened in room to allow some fresh air in, over all a pleasent stay.

No bacon at breakfast, no flat screen tv, remote did not work for the tv, nothing really to complain about

Room was clean and comfortable. Very good continental breakfast.

Televisions are very old and need to be upgraded.
