Lovely room with great balcony overlooking ocean & gardens. Nice breakfast. Friendly manager.
The Inn and its setting were both beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful without being intrusive.
View , location to other quaint New England town
Could use updated sheets and comforter and king size beds
Lovely location with great views and plenty of parking. Room was comfortable.
The house is old and needs money spending on it. Breakfast was sparse. Mike needs more staff.
The Yankee Clipper is just what we imagined. An historic old home with all the coziness we loved. The views were just amazing. We heard the waves as we slept. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Mike. Breakfast was tasty. We will go back!
Not a thing!
The location was beautiful. We had a picturesque view of the New England coast and ate breakfast everyday on the porch overlooking the ocean. Charming place, great staff, relaxing weekend away.
Stunning views from the bedroom window of the ocean to watch the sunset from. Great breakfast again with great views of the ocean. The manager was so helpful with plenty of information about the local area. The rooms are far larger than the photos show which was a nice suprise. We wish we had longer than the 1 night here but next time we are in the area will make sure it is a priority to stay longer.
Great location and view, charming old inn, great service. Mike is very knowledgeable and helpful. Feels like visiting a home. Great place for R & R.
Bed a little soft
everyone was very friendly and kind. very warmhearted staff!
The location was superb.
The garden room was very small..similar to a European room. I would suggest an ocean view room if you stay here.
The view was awesome. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
our room was really nice, facing the water.the cool breeze from the atlantic, sound of waves crashing on the rocks.it was like another time zone, that was a nice change.i will return in a new york minute.mike made you feel like family.
the only draw back that can be fixed,is shades for windows on porch.dam that sun comes up early, lol
The staff was understanding & helpful. They went above & beyond
First question on your questionnaire did not cover my trip reason or people traveling yet it did not allow for exception or avoidance. If the Inn had not deserved an excellent recommendation I would have discontinued answering based on your question.
Our first time in Rockport. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary so we wanted to stay somewhere special. The Yankee Clipper Inn far exceded our expectations. The innkeeper Mike most hospitable with a wealth of information regarding restaurants, things to do in Rockport and surrounding areas. Beautiful view of the ocean from our suite (Seawitch). The only thing I found to be disappointing is that my wife and I were there only 2 days. Already looking forward to our next stay.
Mike was so helpful and friendly. The living and dining areas were so beautiful and open to sit in all day. Most rooms had romantic balconies with ocean views. The entire backyard was free to use with spectacular views.
A tad difficult to find, but manageable. Breakfast cooked fresh but quite plain. The view and people totally make up for it so it's actually not much of a negative and we would come again in a heartbeat!
Ocean View. Nice backyard. Good breakfast.
Swimming pool surface was with leaves and bugs.
Location and view were very nice
The hotel had no staff (only one person who didn't do much) - it is not a hotel according to my understanding. The Breakfast was terrible - instant eggs - toasted waffles - not drinkable coffee. For $300 a night you expect a lot more - it is definitely not worth the price
We loved the majestic appeal of all the original workmanship and decor of the inn, which has been maintained beautifully.
Wished the inn offered evening dining, even if only a special or two of the day was offered. Most come to New England for its superb seafood, what a treat to have it available.
Mike the manager was extremely helpful and friendly, the location and views from all the decks wonderful and the furnishings and fittings in the room were top quality. Great nights sleep.
Would have liked a little more choice at breakfast, but there was enough so we were not hungry!
Peaceful beautiful location, host Mike has a wealth of local knowledge to assist you in your visit.
It was just a few minutes to Rockport. Mike, the Manager, is a good, hard-working guy who accommodated us in every way he could.
We were promised a room with a garden view but were given a room facing a construction site next door. But the room was nice enough (no others were available) and we weren't in it much of the time to hear noise that might have disturbed us. however.
Bad food. Freezing pool. Frumpy room. What's amazing is the view. The grounds. The town nearby. No bikes. No little foods or amenities that you'd expect for the $$$. .
Ac freezing. Badly decorated Frumpy !
Upgraded to Top Room...NO VIEW due to tree obstructing on one side and active construction on adjacent property for the entire time. We checked out early.
Scenic ocean views Beautiful pool Incredibly hospitable innkeeper Location Good breakfasts
Some beds less comfortable than desirable Some rooms more susceptible to noise
