The staff was helpful and nice
For the price I was given a servants quarters room that had a be on the floor and the entire small , small room made we want to escape it. I will not stay here again.
The staff was terrific; the rooms were charming and very clean; the breakfast room was delightful and there was a good choice of cereals and breads.
We had the two front rooms, and while it didn't bother my husband and me, who live in New York City, our friends really noticed the traffic on Touro Street at night, so if that might upset you ask for a room at the back.
Location, short walk from town centre with parking. Easy to drive up to the mansions. Coffee, tea and cookies available in the afternoons. Friendly, helpful staff.
Stayed in the carriage house, room was small - but we thought that it might be when we booked.
The room was amazing, the staff was also. Close to lots of places to go to. And the gift of wine for us as we just got married. Thank you so much, it was so kind of you.
The 3rd floor, parking arrangments, the breakfast should be a hot one. But don't let that seem I didn't like the stay, I did and would come back again
Charming staff, walking distance to everything, beautiful place.
Bed was a little to soft for my wife.
A good location for exploring, easy access to the town without the fuss of parking. The staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. Good size, comfortable rooms. Wide choice at breakfast. The roof terrace has a sea view (glimpse) but is very pretty and a must for warm evenings spent just chatting and relaxing - a good way to meet other travelers too.
I can't really fault this place it has everything you need to create a charming stay.
It could have been cleaner especially in the hallway. Pictures in my room looked liked they had not been dusted in a year.
Liked the location. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. We loved the deck on the roof of the main house, where we had our coffee in the morning.
We were on the bottom floor of the carriage house and it was dark and noisy due to air conditioner running all night.
the room was very comfortable, staff helpful and friendly.
Terrific location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Basement kitchen had a nice English pub feel where we made new acquaintances over complimentary wine and cheese provided by B&B. Carriage House room was spacious, adding to the good value of this B&B.
Rooms next to Turo St are noisy with busy road traffic and late night revelers walking and talking as they pass by. Did not sleep well. Bathroom did not have a light near the sink mirror, so makeup application wasn't easy.
Location was ideal. Friendly staff. Clean room.
We stayed in room 17 of the carriage house. The noise level during the night made for a very sleepless two nights. I would recommend new windows, especially in that particular room. Friends stayed in room next door and had no noise issues. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
Excellent location; decor; parking; breakfast was ok.
Low street-level room that rocked with the passing of automobiles and even worse with passing motorcycles.
Rather small rooms
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was great, and the breakfast hostess was humorous and helpful. Off street parking is a plus. Also allowing patrons to park in the lot until 2:00 P.M. on departure day is very generous.
The room was a bit tight, but got the job done.
Clean. Friendly. Good location.
I was hoping for a home cooked breakfast and not a continental one, but it wasn't too bad.
The location, the roof-top deck, the dining area w/ breakfast, etc. and the staff were all wonderful.
As a business traveler I would have liked easier access to electric outlets, but it is an old building. Also, I would have liked a few more shelves or horizontal surfaces to put things on!
The location was perfect - close to Thames Street and the harbor and easy drive to the Ocean Drive and mansions. Bed was comfortable, wi-fi worked well. Good breakfast! Especially liked the lovely rooftop deck where we enjoyed wine and cheese and pleasant company!
Climbing to the third floor! We had very noisy neighbors - had to listen to a loud man arguing with his wife on his phone - lots of the f-word.
Attractive old house with good amenities. Homely breakfast room open all day and you can make tea, coffee and help yourself to delicious homemade cookies. Attractive deck at the top of the house with pots of flowers where you can sit and relax. An excellent place to stay for visiting the beautiful historic town of Newport.
Location and charm!
Charming, comfortable inn with a lovely continental breakfast and cute rooftop deck. Room was clean and comfortable. Just a few short blocks from the harbor and all that we love about Newport. We'll definitely be back.
Parking lot is a bit tight during summer season.
They did have a list of restaurants, and had great meal at Italian place.
Breakfast was cold buffet, and not what you expected for a B&B. We chose this one because it listed a buffet. (it did not say cold) Staff was little rude regarding parking lot. Bed was lumpy. Bathroom super small.
The rooms & beds were comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Continental breakfast was excellent. Wine on the deck a treat.
No elevator. It was an Inn (an old inn) but decorated lovely & had a wonderful staff. The difficulty of finding it after dark due to the many turns & one way streets.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, can walk to town centre
Little bit dated, small car park
