Everything! very quaint and very special! Staff was super friendly and know their little town!
it was SO cold during the night, not enough blankets.
Courtyard and quaintness Staff is very helpful
There were three steps to enter the bathroom. Very hazardous. Poor design
Quaint, rustic atmosphere
Location, a neat little place with surprising dining.
Please do a few repairs and up grade cleaning skills in rooms.
Location is excellent
Stayed in the old church house . Very roomy and beautifully decorated with awesome antiques . Wood floors , had a real charm about it . Hotel staff was very accommodating .. Great location
Old buildings did not seem very secure . Doors hard to unlock and lock .
Nice cabin, good, clean grounds.
pool was filthy,(leaves, dirt, trash). Cabin door was extremely hard to lock.
Very nice room - stayed in one of the "cottages". Bed was super comfortable. The cottages form a small courtyard. We sat out on our porch each evening and had nice conversations with fellow guests sitting on their porches. If you prefer an impersonal hotel, this is not it. Grill had good food for a hotel restaurant.
Bathroom floor was dusty when we checked in. Several evenings we brought wine from the bar so we could sit on the porch and enjoy the breeze. Housekeeping staff never picked up the used glasses.
Staff was very accomodating giving us an upgrade when there was a mixup on the reservation through booking.com.
The uniqueness of the accommodations Bed was very comfortable
That there was not a continental breakfast
Cozy grounds, excellent location for shopping, nice walking trail. Garson court rooms are near spa so if you are a day sleeper choose other rooms or cabins. Excellent bar and great porches for sitting. Great value in this town with history on site as an extra.
Noisy kids, not Inn's fault and noted the outside of building being so old, a plus, but needed some minor repairs. Rooms were great... No issues there.
We really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. People were warm and made us feel welcome from the minute we walked into the hotel. Our dinner was fantastic and my wife loved the lovely Blanco cottage.
walking distance to all of downtown and very comfortable room.
a little traffic noise in the morning.
Location is great, in the heart of Boerne.
While they have re-opened their restaurant and bar, There is no breakfast and they close Sunday.
We stayed in one of the cabins. They were very cute and the little courtyard was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, even though we did have to "borrow" a rocking chair since our cabin only had a very uncomfortable bench with no cushions.
The entire cabin looked "tired"! It needed updated curtains, bed spreads, etc. It was more rustic than we expected, and not rustic in a good way.
Close to everything.
No fridge & microwave.
It is central to the shops and restaurants of the downtown area. All rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable bathrooms.
Location, staff was very efficient
Water turned off by city - don't know reason Had trouble making them understand the room was staying at 76 degrees no matter what their system was telling them. After an hour we packed up and moved to another room at 11:00p.m. They were pleasant about it but for an hour we were burning up.
no breakfast, understaffed, expensive for tired looking in.
Loved the charm of the older building.
Restaurant wasn't open during my visit.
The cottage room was comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Location was quiet and off the beaten path yet close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping. Annie was a delightful person to talk to about the area.
Wi - Fi went in and out. Shower spray was like needles. One little wastebasket. Hot tub not working.
The picture of the cottage that was on line was WAY different than the one we were given. The room we received was a lot older & had old rugs hanging on the walls as decor. I had upgraded from the standard room because the pictures looked amazing, but we were completely disappointed. Defiantly first & last time @ this hotel.
Great ambiance, charm, sense of history, lovely setting with nice naturalistic landscaping. Very quiet.
Staff was excellent. Location was great. Loved the cottage style. We will go again sometime
Bed was uncomfortable. Also, the bed is up against a window where cold air was coming in on your head. We had to prop all the pillows up to block the draft.
Antique furniture and decor in the room was a wonderful thing, and it was fairly spacious and well lit. Some chipped tiles on the floor, etc, but the hotel is pre-1900 so that's part of the package. I've eaten in their restaurant before and it was great food at a wonderful price, but that is being renovated right now, and they wisely don't have it listed. Hotel was right off a park plaza, and it was fun to hear Christmas music that evening, and luckily the walls and windows of the room were thick enough you could step out to listen, but didn't hear it easily in your room.
The room was cold even with the window heater going pretty much constantly (luckily the low setting was quiet enough for sleeping). Part of the blame was a double-sided fireplace that admittedly was part of the charm. Plus I was told they couldn't replace the old-fashioned door that led outside, which had wide gaps around it, because of the historical nature of the hotel. The "hot tub" turned out to be an outdoor pool, so that threw me. The locks on the room door were also a bit minimal given that the room faced directly outside.
