bed felt like a slab of marble, the bath looked like it was maintained by Dr. Frankenstein.
location, view, outside seating.
We arrived late at night and there was no hot water. The staff didn't seem to care how we felt and what was our experience. In addition there is extra resort fee that is not included in the price.
Truck traffic at night is relentless, our room was right by the road. Unfriendly staff, barely took their eyes off the computer screen and mumbled instructions with attitude. No breakfast included, which is a poor deal for the price.
Large comfortable room. The view of the lake from the balcony is incredible. Great location, close to Yosemite and Bodie Parks. Diner across the street.
plastic sheet over mattress. not good.
the room was lovely, nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. great views and location.
A bed with a plastic sheet on it that crackled every time you moved! A slightly flimsy structure to the accommodation which is very close to the road with traffic flowing all night. Okay for one night but no more.
Easy access to Yosemite Park
We could see the lake from our window and there was a diner right cross the street
Very, very poor value for money. No breakfast even though expensive place. Reception staff appalling and stressed as so late check in, 5.00pm) there was a long queue and staff totally unwelcoming, obstructive, irritable and no welcome pleasantness, reluctant to give any information about hotel and un professional ie Rachelle especially. Units are roomy but dark, stairs to hotel room. National Park prices, need more modern facilities. Poor WiFi, restaurant expensive and hours limited ie 5-8pm only
Room good and spacious, shower good, bed good. Had a basic fridge and balcony. great pictures on wall and quiet heating
Very needy of more updating. The TV quit working after first night and managent did not know what to do.
Nice location and view
It was cold the night we arrived and there was very little heating available. We asked for extra heaters and were told they would blow the electricity. Some rooms open straight onto the main raod and are quite nosiy as a result.
Comfortable bed and a convenient location for visiting Mono Lake and the surrounding area. The restaurant across the road (separate establishment) was very welcoming.
The view, room size, location
Old, old fashioned without service and without comfort
Location with view to Lake Mono
The bath was still being ren
The view from the room
Counting trucks all night. Our room was right on the highway! Very noisy. Bedding on king-sized bed left quite a bit to be desired.
Staff was pleasant. Clean rooms with good daily service.
Nice view on the lake. Very close to Tioga road
There was not a slip-proof mat in the tub, nor a bar or anything to grab to get out of the very slippery tub/shower. We found several roaches in the bathroom, and couldn't find instructions to use the heater. For that high price we did expect a microwave or refrigerator.
The view from our deck was of the fall colored trees in the canyon and Mono Lake in the background. The two queen beds were clean, attractive, and comfortable. There was a large tv and good chairs for reading.
No breakfast. Weird glass door lets the cold in (temperatures drop below freezing at night).
Excellent location near east entrance to Yosemite, views of Mono Lake. Cute deer come in the morning. Big & nice room for a motel.
Location, price , it is an hostel not an hôtel
Room opened directly onto road.
Good location close to Yosemite and Mono Lake, Brodie Ghist town. Friendly owner.
The facility could use some updating, the rooms are a little dark. But the linens are new and clean.
Good value for the price. Loved the deck overlooking the lake and mountains, perfect for enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine.
Little tired - expensive for location
Everything just OK
Local facilities for eating are very limited in October and frankly not very good Didn't like having only a full size patio door onto shared walkway as the only window. Small room (wardrobe was in bathroom)
Location first rate and good views Bathroom good Refunded our second night when we decided to move on sooner than planned
- No bar or cafe, there are some over the road but they're not necessarily convenient opening hours - If you sit on the balcony you get attacked by moths! Need some insect-repelling lights etc
- Great location for mono lake/Bodie/Yosemite - Nice big comfy rooms - Staff took some warming up but were friendly and helpful, I had an issue with my hire car and was helped a great deal
Surprisingly noisy (room was right on the highway); lumpy, uncomfortable bed; a bit expensive for what it is.
Great location, nice view, and the old-fashioned motel style with balconies.
Bathroom, needs serious renovation. Tub drain didn't work.Plastic covering on sheets. Poor restaurant choices, dinner at Nicelys was awful and staff seemed to be aware.
East Yosemite location, view from back porch,
Not really a gripe as its evident its on the road side but the rumble of trucks throughout the night could be heard/ felt but don't let that put you off.
Its an old fashioned motel that adds to its charm and has fantastic views from a balcony overlooking mono lake.
