Pamela, the owner, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Excellent bedroom, fully equipment with lovely touches. No hesitation in recommending the Big Creek Inn.
Good location Owner very helpful and knowledgable Great place to see wildlife
From the moment that Pamela met us at the front door we were blown away. You could not find a more helpful, welcoming, warm, friendly, informative host. The amenities in our room were amazing. Every little detail has been thought of. The view from the balcony in our room was breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast was very well set out and a good selection for all was available. It was nice to sit down with the other guests. Our only regret is that we didn't have time to stay longer. Pamela recommended the tanaya lodge for dinner which so far has been the best meal we have had touring America. The service was exemplary. All in all we would highly recommend Yosemite lodge and we would come back in a heartbeat.
The proprietor was on top of all the guests' needs. Small details make a difference. Facility very attractive and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again if visiting Yosemite again.
The Big Creek Inn exceeded our own high expectations. Beautiful location close to the south entrance of the Yosemite National Park. Pamela the host is very welcoming and was very helpful in ensuring we got the most from our visit to the area. Rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is excellent. Highly recommend.
We have no bad comment at all!
Pamela was so helpful and welcoming, she didn't want us to waste our first day as we arrived at 3pm so showed us where we could see in the park for a few hours. She had also emailed to see where we were that first day and welcomed us in earlier if we were about. Loved the little touches like having free soft drinks and chocolates/ nuts in the communal area and the vast collection of dvd's that you could relax to after long trails in the park! We would definately come again and recommend Pamela to anyone!!!
During our 3 weeks roadtrip down the west coast, this was most def the best stay we had. Pamela is a great host, who makes amazing breakfast (Bagels, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, yogurt, bread, cereals, bacon, coffee etc...) and gives great advice on how to make the most of your stay at Yosemite. The rooms (or actually the whole house) are extremely comfy and clean and theres a huge DVD collection to choose of :). We will def. come back!
For those arrive at night, the signboard of hotel with inadequate illumination may be not easy to distinguish when driving. We missed it one time and spent additional one and half hour to get it. Tip: If you see the green board with "White Chief Mtn Rd" on it from any of direction, that means you almost reach the hotel.
Comfortable and well maintained house located in a quite and beautiful place. Pamela is a very kind hostess. She helped us arrange our one-and-half-day trip in the Yosemite park, which was found impressive and efficient. Indy the dog is supper cute. At last, thumb up for the great breakfast that Pamela made.
The breakfest is really good, Pam is his dog Indy are adorable and the calm atmosphere perferctly matches with the rich nature.
Small, quaint, meticulously appointed and maintained. The innkeeper is a veritable font of useful park and area information. We loved that there are only 3 rooms with a 6 person capacity for the entire B and B.
It is a quite place to rest
To access our shower, we had to negotiate one step up before taking a further big step into the tub. I don't think this particular bathroom would suit a person with a disability
We had a queen size room with a balcony overlooking the meadow. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had plenty of room to move around. Our hosts - Pam and John - made us feel at home and were ultra helpful in assisting us to plan our days in Yosemite. There were no cooked offerings at breakfast (except for oatmeal) but after three weeks of travelling and seeing the inside of many motels we really appreciated not being offered greasy bacon or powdered scrambled eggs. We enjoyed the choice of breads and cereals and especially enjoyed the fresh fruit which was plentiful and delicious. The B&B is perfectly located just outside of the entrance to Yosemite. We would certainly recommend our friends to stay there.
Everything, our stay could not have been better, location was within easy commuting distance and the room was big and comfortable. Pamela was extremely helpful, assisted in planning our days and bent over backwards to help, can't speak highly enough of the place and our host. Thanks so much again.
Every detail for comfort and aesthetics had been thought through, including breakfast for gluten intolerant guests.
Wide variety of breakfast items but nothing hot or homemade. Would have liked a big hot breakfast!! Ended up going to a local restaurant for breakfast after eating some cereal.
Owners were very kind and helpful, took our bags after meeting us at door very late, met a variety of guests from Denmark and Switzerland. Extremely clean. Bedroom and bath were fantastic. Very convenient to Park entrance.
- Spacious and clean rooms - great host, who provided us with great hiking tips - breakfast was excellent - very close to Yosemite park
We arrived early and we're welcomed by John the owner, a pleasent start to a gteat stay. Pamela and John are fantastic hosts, who went out of their way to make sure everything was there to make us comfortable, from free soft drinks and choc. bars, to a huge collection of DVD'S to watch if required. The location and accomodation was excellent. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Yosemite.
Pamela and her husband are the most friendly people, we were given the warmest of welcome and made to feel at home immediately. The accomodation was spotless and the views from the balcony amazing. Pamela cooked the most delicious breakfasts and gave us top advice on where to go in the park.
Very, very nice accomodations with attention to the details. Beautiful setting, great breakfast, and easy to find. Plenty of meal choices in the area, and of course great access to the south e nd of Yosemite NP.
Fish camp is remote, The large hotel at Tanaya Lodge offers great food and is a one min drive away, the local general store was very disapointing.
The location just south of the entrance to Yosemite was ideal. Pamela is a super and knowledgable hostess who pointed us the right direction for the four days we where trecking in the park. The B&B has lots of little extras we very much appreciated like coffee and tea, snacks and a lovely patio where we could enjoy a multitude of wildlife from humming birds to deer.
Our room was a bit cramped (we stayed in the "Mercer room" with two double beds)
The hosts were absolutely wonderful, and gave us great information about what to see, and where to go in Yosemite! The room including bathroom was really modern and beautifully decorated! We would definitely go back, and have already recommended it to friends :-)
Very close to the park. Attentive and helpful hosts Pleasant setting
Friendly Staff Helpful trip advise Very spacious room Very clean facility Very quiet at night Complimentary breakfast
Fantastic host who helped us plan our day in Yosemite so we could make the most of it! Great fresh and tasty breakfast
Pamela was an excellent host and a mine of information regarding the National Park. The room was very well appointed and the attention to detail throughout the B&B was amazing, even peanuts to feed the birds!
