The staff were amazingly helpful! There was always someone on hand for queries, help getting a cab, and anything else we needed. Nothing was too much trouble! The location was great, only a 10 minute walk to Times Square and short can rides/20-30 minute walk to all other major spots. We didn't eat at the hotel but there were complimentary coffee/tea and muffins every morning and a kitchen with tea/coffee, water, fridge and microwave next to our room. If I'm lucky enough to visit NYC again, I would definitely stay here!!!
+ out of the 'common' + modern feeling + outlook on 'one trade center' + you would get/stay up to see the nightsight from your room window! + 9 minutes 'run' from Central Park + good food and drinks + all in one
- WIFI - expensive
Liked very thing smart and compacted hotel it had everything I needed
Friday and Saturday night guest was noisy as they came in front partying. Perhaps you need to put sign boards at the lift on each floor to ask them to be silent while they walking to their room between 12:00 -06:00 in the morning
The room layout was very clever and space used well. Room, even though compact, had an airy feel because of the placement of the window.
Even though the room could sleep three people, it did not really cater for three people with regards to packing space for clothes, particularly if your stay was longer than a couple of days.
communal area/level 4 lobby
cabin was small and rundown not at all what was portrayed on the internet just a sheet on the bunks, the beds were not made up ? bathroom very poor- odd towels, very tired booked for four nights we left after one, but only after booking.com became involved and ensured we obtained the refund for the 3nights to which we were entitled Sorry Yotel, very very disappointed
The beds were awesome and clever in how they were designed Very modern and all the staff were nice and friendly
Wonderful location near Times Square. Quieter area with good restaurants and theaters nearby. Incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Concierge helped with tickets, shuttle service, etc. Clean, trendy and bright. Good access to computer stations.
Rooms are small but cleverly laid out; and there weren't a lot of TV channels. But we we there mainly from late evening until morning, so these were not big issues for us.
Great view from rooms of Manhattan and Hudson river, good location for seeing sights of newyork
Good location, room was cleaned everyday. Overall our stay was good, only complaint which is small is that we had to purchase milk as it was not provided in the galley where you could make tea and coffee.
Breakfast - free muffins & coffee Gym facilities Shower Tea & coffee facilities Great wi-fi Bike rental Friendly & helpful concierge
Rude & unhelpful staff member taking our bags & "charging" us to store them when the robot does this for free.
1) Conveniently located just two blocks easy walking distance from the Port Authority bus station. 2) Cool modern design throughout public spaces & private hotel room...clean minimalist furnishing(bed is both a sofa when up & becomes a bed when down) & storage cubicles built into the walls are well thought out for guest convenience. 3) Robotic luggage storage available after checkout time so you can return later for pickup. 4) Helpful & friendly staff at all levels. 5) Each floor has it's own 'coffee, tea, water, ice room' for guest use.
The shower was great but the water splashed on the bathroom floor outside so we had to use the bathmat to mop up the wet floor. The cleaning staff could be heard in the hallway so be aware that rooms are not fully soundproofed.
view of empire state building
no space to move nowhere to store anything out of your suitcase
Good location, close to everything
I didn't like the fact that the toilet didn't have a proper door in the room
Good central location, modern, funky, not overly crowded, good self service.
The air conditioning was difficult to control so the room was too hot for my partner.
excelent place modern building
The Staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Moses and concierge Josef. Location is really first class and the hotel was ultra modern and very nicely put together. Muffins and coffee breakfast was just what was needed before taking on New York
BIG gripe. The Bathroom/Washroom/Toilet door was see through and not sound proof. There was NO privacy whatsover. A big turn off for anyone with romance in mind
My daughter loved that she could have her own bunk bed. Cool concept for room design, very functional. Modern facilities, you feel like you stepped into a time capsule to the future or into outer space. Good rates and great location. I would recommend to a friend.
Had one evening where we returned to an uncleaned room. Called Mission Control and it was quickly resolved. Otherwise had a good stay and would consider staying again.
Room was perfectly designed for limited space, clean, helpful & friendly staff!
Uniqueness of hotel View from room (exec view in 1237) Shower and shower gel Muffins in morning Concierge very helpful (Joseph) Galley on each floor.
Bar staff did not put a food order through for us. It was our first night and were so tired, had to cancel order and go to bed. Barely apologised and put us off eating any food there again, and we didn't. Bit of a walk to subway. Lifts, could be slow to get one in AM.
Convenient location, friendly staff, modern and unconventional rooms with hassle free check in/out facilities.
This area of NY is in the 'Hells Kitchen' area, it feels slightly down market and gritty compared with more conventional hotel locations. The rooms are very small and would suit a younger traveller, this is by no way luxury accommodation. Don't be seduced into paying for a room with a view, its simply not worth it. Fine for a short stay with kids or for the internet generation. If your looking for a conventional hotel in a nice part of town look elsewhere.
It's right in the centre, perfect for everyone! The view from 16th floor was amazing
The ice machine in the galley was broken but that was the only thing
Relaxed, great view from terrace and room. Clean. Good beds.
Toilet door didn't shut at all. Needs more shelving in bathroom - nowhere to put anything. No bin in bedroom area. Staff generally friendly but when my daughter passed out at breakfast nobody came to help us!
Great design which made sense, spacious cabin, good air conditioning, large shower, large bathroom shower gel / shampoo combo, firm, comfortable beds, breakfast muffins, great mini city maps, fast wifi, welcoming smiles in the lobby, fantastically helpful lobby staff at check-out storing cases and organising an airport cab
I liked my view from my window - right into the heart of New York! And I liked the roof terrace for breakfast and for a drink at night. The hotel is cool, colorful and different. The rooms are small but very practically and most efficient furnished. You just have to know your partner very well .. Otherwise it might be a bit awkward to have only glass doors in between bedroom and toilet.
The air conditioning was a bit noisy - and of course it's too loud to open a window. The breakfast with coffee and muffins ( and optional everything else to buy) is okay - it was just a bit messy in the room. And we were there with three people in a room - a bunk bed on top - and then it gets really tight. Only recommendable with two people.
