Score from 1604 reviews Good
view of empire state building
no space to move nowhere to store anything out of your suitcase
Good location, close to everything
I didn't like the fact that the toilet didn't have a proper door in the room
Good central location, modern, funky, not overly crowded, good self service.
The air conditioning was difficult to control so the room was too hot for my partner.
The Staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Moses and concierge Josef. Location is really first class and the hotel was ultra modern and very nicely put together. Muffins and coffee breakfast was just what was needed before taking on New York
BIG gripe. The Bathroom/Washroom/Toilet door was see through and not sound proof. There was NO privacy whatsover. A big turn off for anyone with romance in mind
Room was perfectly designed for limited space, clean, helpful & friendly staff!
Uniqueness of hotel View from room (exec view in 1237) Shower and shower gel Muffins in morning Concierge very helpful (Joseph) Galley on each floor.
Bar staff did not put a food order through for us. It was our first night and were so tired, had to cancel order and go to bed. Barely apologised and put us off eating any food there again, and we didn't. Bit of a walk to subway. Lifts, could be slow to get one in AM.
Convenient location, friendly staff, modern and unconventional rooms with hassle free check in/out facilities.
This area of NY is in the 'Hells Kitchen' area, it feels slightly down market and gritty compared with more conventional hotel locations. The rooms are very small and would suit a younger traveller, this is by no way luxury accommodation. Don't be seduced into paying for a room with a view, its simply not worth it. Fine for a short stay with kids or for the internet generation. If your looking for a conventional hotel in a nice part of town look elsewhere.
It's right in the centre, perfect for everyone! The view from 16th floor was amazing
The ice machine in the galley was broken but that was the only thing
Relaxed, great view from terrace and room. Clean. Good beds.
Toilet door didn't shut at all. Needs more shelving in bathroom - nowhere to put anything. No bin in bedroom area. Staff generally friendly but when my daughter passed out at breakfast nobody came to help us!
Great design which made sense, spacious cabin, good air conditioning, large shower, large bathroom shower gel / shampoo combo, firm, comfortable beds, breakfast muffins, great mini city maps, fast wifi, welcoming smiles in the lobby, fantastically helpful lobby staff at check-out storing cases and organising an airport cab
I liked my view from my window - right into the heart of New York! And I liked the roof terrace for breakfast and for a drink at night. The hotel is cool, colorful and different. The rooms are small but very practically and most efficient furnished. You just have to know your partner very well .. Otherwise it might be a bit awkward to have only glass doors in between bedroom and toilet.
The air conditioning was a bit noisy - and of course it's too loud to open a window. The breakfast with coffee and muffins ( and optional everything else to buy) is okay - it was just a bit messy in the room. And we were there with three people in a room - a bunk bed on top - and then it gets really tight. Only recommendable with two people.
Although the room is "compact" it contained everything one would need. Gourmet muffins ! Check-in/out was a breeze Main entrance had welcoming staff upon departure and arrival Yobot was an excellent asset for early check out but late departure of NYC.. Thank You !!!
Elevators were a bit slow in the mornings Paying $$$ at the bar for a wonderful mixed drink but having to drink it in a plastic cup
Room and location
Broken AC, bathroom door handle broken, bedside light not working-fab room but basic maintenance lacking
Great shower, tv, bed.
Would prefer the option to make tea and coffee in our own room.
I travelled with my 15 year old daughter and husband (her step dad). It is tricky to find something where we can stay in the same room yet offer privacy and this delivered. Just enough space to use as a base to get your head down and clever space saving technology too. It has a youthful atmosphere too which made me a "cool mom".
Next pod to us decided to throw a party in early hours of the morning. Great if your into "clubbing" but when you're a 40 something suffering from jet lag then it's not so much fun!
staff, modern decor, cleanliness
cramped room, lack of tub, a bit expensive for what it is.
Aussies get in in this one. We loved it and was 10 min walk from everything
The staff were all great and there were plenty of them. The check in and out was so simple, loved it. The room although small was so well designed it was actually more comfortable than many larger rooms I've stayed in, hooks where you need them, power points ditto. Room service excellent. Clean and no bugs. Aircon easy to use and effective, great view.
The fact that the terrace wasn't open to you if you didn't want a $45 buffet at the weekend!
Hotel food was superb. Only a 10 minute walk to Times Square and 25 to Central Park. Room was cleaned every day to a great standard.
Wi-fi only really worked on one side of the room. Nothing else really, it's a great hotel.
We had an amazing 4 night stay for our Wedding Anniversary. The room was on the 20th floor with great views of the Hudson River. It was very well thought out compact room with loads of space to store our belongs. Moving bed was great. Funky lifts. Lovely roof terrace bar. 8 minute walk to Times Square. Great location all round.
Air con unit a little noisy to sleep with on. Fan constant sound in shower part.
Hotel was brilliant have not got one bad thing to say about the hotel.. Meet know people.. Night club was very good..
Travelled with two older children and found the family room more than adequate. You're not in your hotel very much when in New York. Free muffins and coffee for breakfast and free wi-fi was a big hit as was free coffee and water at any time. Excellent set up and always someone to ask if help was needed.
Found the prices in the terrace bar a bit expensive. It would have been nice to be able to sit on the terrace and have a drink more often but after the first night we didn't do it again as drinks elsewhere were much more affordable.
The Hotel is new and everything worked well. The room had plenty of natural light and a view of downtown. The room was also well designed to make the best use of the limited space. Close to transport and can walk to Times Square tourist spots.
very friendly stuff(special greetings to Dennis).good location close to times, hells' kitchen bars and restaurants.nice and fresh decoration.ideal for young travellers.
poor bathroom's equipment. breakfast hour could be a bit longer than 10am everyday. the rooms close to valley area are quite noisy.
