The games room was a great place for our group to meet in the evenings. Lots of fun!
The lobby, the nice sheets and duvet, the style, the pool table, the art
The wifi logs on and off and is slow, the rooms are cool but small, no bath
I like the trendy look of the entrance, lounge and bar area which was definitely happening on a Friday night. Was great to go out to dinner and come back and hang out. Plus pool table, etc. The bedrooms very comfortable, if a little too uber modern...but good wifi and TV, and wow the shower and amenities were terrific --nice style and high end products in big bottles-- like you have in your own home--nice!
Chair for desk was a little too uber modern and not comfortable -- looked like a thin rolling desk chair I used to have in my bedroom in high school, but actually my chair was way more comfortable. Luckily there was another chair in the room more comfy.
Funky design/decor Really comfy beds Helpful, friendly staff
Having to pay in full up front
Design of the rooms
Everything was great. Very nice lobby bar downstairs. Extremely nice receptionists who will help you find great restaurants around the town.
Location and the staff
Need more vareity in breakfast Need no noisy beds
Very nice ambience; attention to guest needs.
noisy bar in lobby; too many crowds in lobby
decor and style location room size and comfort cocktails helpful staff
1. Location is all we need when looking up for hotel for our stay in the city. I can tell you that hotel zetta maybe not the best location but at least second place if competing with other choices in the city. 2. Most of the staffs are very friendly, and willing to listen and help. We decide to rent a car after we arrived, everything is quite instant but luckily they find us a nice one with their cooperated car rental company.
1. We had two bookings with the hotel because of the room availability, which means we need to change room. I was a bit confused with the sofa bed so I contact them before I made my second booking. Clearly, I got the information saying that the sofa bed can fit two ppl in but thing are not quite true after we changed our room. Then we request twice time for roll-in bed right after. However, the bed never appeared in our room until we left. We got explained next morning but we feel a bit depressed. I decided to stay at the same hotel because I has been confirmed that we can fit in the room. ( I was still a bit worried so we asked when we were still staying in our first-booking room and we again been confirmed that we can fit in.) 2. Air-conditioning noise that has already mentioned by many others. 3. If you travel with elders or ppl like quiet maybe you need to consider a little. Lobby is always noisy after 7pm. ( I actually quite like the common area, where you can enjoy games and activities with group of friends.)
Great location. Close to subway. Great shopping around. Nice design.
The lobby can get noisy sometimes. Since the reception is close to the entry. It can get crowed sometimes.
Staff was attentive, polite, and accommodating, facilities were immaculate. We were close to downtown which was so convenient, and I really had a blast in the rec room with my family. Thank you for an awesome stay!
The general atmosphere, the bar and games room, stylish furnishings, very clean.
No spa or pool. When towels were restocked we were not given one per person (this happened several times).
Cool hotel and design, amazing location, good staff and room.
Very friendly and helpful staff from the minute we hit the front door. Nice sized room. Location is great - close to shops, cable car, buses, and many resteraunts Would definitely stay again if in San Fran.
Housekeeping service a little slow.
When I asked for my luggage at the reception, I had to wait 5 minutes (while in a hurry) because the person with the keys was somewhere else. Also, when we arrived the room was not ready. They would call us when it was ready, but nobody did. Just 2 examples of the service level. I'm not impressed.
The games area is great and the location is good as well though I was shocked by the amount of homeless people and drug addicts that hang out in the streets around the hotel.
I am very disappointed in the showers of this hotel and the noise of the air condition and the very eager cleaning staff. First about the shower. On the bookings.com blurb the 'mosaic tiling' in the shower is being mentioned as if its something to look forward to. Unfortunately for me the joy of those very special mosaic tiles quickly morphed into disappointment over the fact that I couldn't stand comfortably under the wall mounted shower head as the angle was so shallow to the wall that I had to press myself against the shelf (for body wash, shampoo) to wet my head. Bearing in mind I'm of slim built and 5'10". Switching to the hand shower didn't make the shower experience any better. The hand shower stands upright in its holder which means the water just sprays at you and not over you. You basically have to chase the water! Then there was the air condition which was so incredibly noisy there was no chance anyone would keep it on neither awake and most definitely not when sleeping. It's about the noise level of a hairdryer (btw, I'm serious)! And lastly there was the cleaning staff that had full on conversation in the aisles of my floor from about 7am every morning and wouldn't be shy coming into my room on the day I was checking out before check out time. Now some people would say I'm being very fussy and maybe I am but I spend most of my working life in those king off trendy, funky hotels (StandardNYC, StandardLA, Andaz West Hollywood), Ace Hotel London, The George Hamburg, Lux11 in Berlin) and never have I encountered such disappointment. I paid 413$ per night and all I ask from any hotel is to be clean, have a comfortable bed and be able to have a relaxing shower. Not at the Zetta I'm afraid. And one last thing. The 50000$ that was spend on that beige De Sede sofa that's in the lobby would have been a better investment in the shower fixtures.
The stairwells! Make sure to use the stairs. Our room were very comfortable and best of all, quiet. We didn't use the second floor playroom, but liked that it was there. The restaurant is good. It seems to be a well-run hotel.
Parking was ridiculously expensive.
I really appreciated the staff's attentiveness and friendly attitude. They were very informative, considerate and detail oriented. The lobby and other common spaces were pleasing to the eye and made a fun and exciting build up for the what the room will be like. Very accommodating to those who are very tech involved. I was able to connect my laptop to the tv no problem and there were plenty of electrical outlets right on the desk.
The room was a total let down. The decor and lighting between the front door of the building to the door of the room were super fun and exciting... The room was so bland or boring it actually made me sad. 30 shades of grey and sterile though very tech friendly. Nothing was free or complimentary. No free, shampoo, soap, conditioner, etc. No complimentary coffee, everything in the room was overpriced and nothing was a brand I had ever heard of so why does this generic box of almonds $15? The bed was nothing special, nor were the towels, linens or pillows. None of the furniture was particularly comfortable and there was absolutely no view. Valet parking took way too long to retrieve my car.
This is a totally different hotel. The décor is really funky, the lobby-bar area has a great atmosphere, and they even have a cool game room in the mezzanine that my teenaged sons loved. The décor of the rooms is also very nice, it's chic and modern and full of techno amenities.
We had a reservation for a room with two queen size beds but got two double beds instead. It turns out they oversold the rooms with queen size beds and we had to settle for a hotel credit instead. Great service but would have preferred the bigger size beds as my teenagers don't like being that cozy...
Room modern, spacious with lot of comforts. Big hd flat TV with streaming connection to iPhone, iPad etc. Modern design decor of the hotel Excellent position
One day they did not make up the room. Should not happen in such an hotel. Housekeeping service very bad with cleaning ladies who could not speak English.
Lobby and adjoining loft were a fun place to meet and play. Rooms are modern, well appointed and very clean. The location is tops. MOZ across 5th is a great breakfast spot.
Our breakfast the first morning in the hotel restaurant, Cavalier, was a big disappointment.
the hotel location is excellant. the staff was great. the only disappointment was the area with the games was often privately rented out,and not to hotel guests. we had 6 teens to 22 year olds. In the evening if that was rented there was nothing for them to do. It is in an area very close to tenderloin which is full of homeless. That was my only complaint.Everything seemed clean and smelled fresh.
We enjoyed our stay, but it was not our favorite experience of all time. We felt the front desk staff was adequate, but the doormen were excellent.
Temperature in the room never got cool enough.
