Hotel Ayres Colonia    

Great location. Safe neighbourhood.

A good choice. New building, nicely designed to blend with the historic nature of Colonia. Within two blocks of the ferry and visible from the bus terminal. Easy walk into town. Although not large, room comfortable with very comfortable, queen size bed. Some, but not all, reception staff spoke English.

Initially worried about noise since hotel is close to the main road out of town, but this proved not to be a problem.

A minor point but the showers were dangerously hot. I scolded myself.

The location is excellent. Two-minute walk right across the street from the bus station and Buquebus ferry terminal so if you are arriving from Buenos Aires by ferry and then need to go else by bus it is very convenient. It is a 15 minute stroll to the old city and golf cart rental is right behind the hotel.

Limited choices for buffet breakfast but adequate.

The location to the bus station and ferry terminal was fabulous. Very convenient.

The room was a bit noisy as it was facing the street, so if you want a quieter room, ask for one upstairs, facing the back of the hotel. Breakfast was decent and plentiful, but the skim milk we had on our cereal was definitely way past its use-by-date.

Hotel Ayres is really well located, next to the bus terminal and a short walk to anywhere in Colonia. It is lovely and quaint and a very fitting place to stay in keeping with the city where it is located. The courtyard garden is beautiful and it is a really relaxing place to stay.

I had a room with two small beds. They were quite tiny - didn't seem to even be single sized, so it was a little uncomfortable for sleeping.

Street noise can invade the room sometimes. Wi-Fi was not good.

The breakfast woman wasn't very friendly. Breakfast was until 10:30, we arrived 10:20 and she complained that if everyone arrived at that time it would be impossible to manage. Well, it was only the 2 of us, there was no need for this complaint, it's your job, as well as I have a job and have to do what I'm being paid for without any complain.

It is a new and well keeped building and very charming. We were very well received, the staff was very helpfull and friendly. The room is very clean, although not very large. We stayed at a room at the frontside of the hotel, but there was not much noise, so was easy to sleep. There were places enough to keep our bags and the refrigerator had some good stuff to eat. The bathroom was small, but the only thing a little uncomfortable was the box, that was really narrow. On the other hand, there was hair dryer and the water was perfectly hot. The air conditioner (heating) was also great. The breakfast was gorgeous! This hotel has the best location. For whom comes from bus station or ferryboat (which, by the way are beside each other), it is easy to get walking. It is realy near! Summing up, we loved the hotel and intend to come back some day.

Nice and comfortable, very new and clean, It,s super near from buquebus port and omnibus station, only one block so we can walk there, also near from barrio histrico, we walk there alone the river only takes a few minutes, it is expensive at the weekend than weekdays, but it still worth to live when u travel in Colonia, recommend to you!

I live the double room, the bed is comfortable and I like the carpet very much, but the bed is too narrow that I can't move when I was in bed.

The location is good only a block from port. The breakfast was very good. It is clean.

The staff seemed preoccupied, which was surprising as we were only a few clients. The bed was horrible. We woke with sore backs and could not sleep well at all. The lobby smells of mildew. They should not charge what they do. This is maybe a 21/2 star hotel.

Si bien solo pase una noche en el hotel solo tengo buenos recuerdos del trato personal y sobre todo la higiene. Estaba todo impecable. El resto de mis comentarios serian muy subjetivos ya que ahi conoci a una mujer extraordinaria. No puedo dejar de relacionar al hotel con mi felicidad. Gracias.

Excelente ubicación, limpio, nos recibieron y atendieron muy bien. Es acogedor y calido. La habitación esta correcta y el baño también. Muy buena presión de la ducha!! Ideal para una escapada de fin de semana.

La verdad que pasamos espectacular! La gente del hotel fue muy amable, simpática. La habitación estaba muy linda, el desayuno riquísimo y es super tranquilo! Sin dudas vamos a volver! Muy recomendable!

o hotel eh ótimo, para melhorar deveria ter um box de vidro temperado.

Lo unico que puede compensar tanto mal rollo , son el servicio de traslados particulares que ponen a nuestra disposicion,(de pago), serviciales y atentos y mucho conocimiento de la zona , sobre todo Sebastian al cual mando un saludo cordial .

_La cocina , (restaurante?), ¡¡ni se os ocurra!! . _Los bungalows , como una cabaña en un arbol , para subir a las habitaciones practicamente habia que trepar. _El entorno , entre granjas rurales , como una mas . _Ubicacion , a mas de 1 km de la civilizacion , aislado total .Compensado con el servicio y buen hacer de los choferes ,porque sinó , "perdidos en la selva 5" . _Booking deberia actualizar la ubicacion de los bungalows, por no ser la correcta y dar a error, engaño consentido .Entrad en la pagina web del alojamiento para confirmar hubicacion.

Estaba cerca de la terminal.

La habitación daba al patio, tenia mucho olor a podrido, pero por suerte pudieron cambiarme a otra sin ningún inconveniente.
