The waitress at the bar/restaurant.
I didnt enjoy that it was being remodeled. It wasn't the cleanest accommodation.
We didn't get to stay. The tropical storm closed the ferry for the day so we couldn't get in from Tortola. They did not charge us for our room.
The pool and beach area
Our stay was during the low season and a tropical storm caused us to have to stay in St. Thomas. Extremely slow service from bar and kitchen when we had dinner
I rated as good - the value for the money is excelent - location is very accesible - short walk to the beach - the beach is great, clear waters, on the beach there are a couple of places with snorkeling gear as well as beach toys for rent - very laid back.
For the price, place is very nice - it is not a five star, so it would be unfair to have five star expectations. Nothing negative to say.
Pleasant receptionist. Cleanliness
convenience to airport. price.
Excellent convenience on the beach yet across the road from the airport
Our room was on the second floor and no elevator for luggage. We had a lot of luggage.
The proximity to the airport. I liked the sister property and the shuttle service there. At the sister property the views were amazing, as well as the pool, bar and food!!!
The light didn't not work upon entry, I did as instructed and made sure the switch was in the up position. After several flips, some of the light came on. After going to the office, help arrived. After taking out the bulbs and switching the lamps... The extension cord was the issue! The safe was stuck and and didn't open... The same guy fixed that after 6 minutes! The bathroom was DISGUSTING! There was lent in dust everywhere. The shower showed scum and very discolored... I was afraid to get in the shower and opted to take a shower when I arrived in St. Croix. 95% of the channels contained heavy static! I hv been on the island for 9 days... This hotel was the worst!!! They were all dated and this issues could hv been avoided with proper upkeep and maintence... I felt robbed of my funds! That was the most expense per night and it was supposed to be a BRAND NAME I should have been able to trust!
Staff was great clean rooms and very accommodating
Internet only in the lobby, channels for children
I like that the restaurant and airport was close and convenient.
I didn't like that I picked this restaurant for its wi-fi and cable selection. And there wasn't any. I wasn't notified. There was no signage stating there wasn't any wi-fi and that there had no cable. So for the day me and my family sat in a room rearranging our suitcase. I felt it was a scam to get our money.
I like this hotel due to its proximity to the airport. I have stayed here numerous times. I havnt had a problem they didnt address. I didnt rate them as excellent on everything because you can always improve on your product. The Bistro has very good food. This hotel is an old Navy Hospital from what I was told.
Balcony and Restaurant view and size.
Not much of a beach for the "Carib Beach Hotel" ! False advertising!
We thought we were getting a great deal bc it was so close to the airport & we saved taxi fare the first day....... Until we climbed that big hill to get there. Mora at the bar was definitely the friendliest person there, she gave us tips for our stay and engaged us in great conversation.
This place should be advertised that it should only be for people that need to be close to the airport for a one night stay....... Not honeymooners or those on vacation. Checked in with reservations for a king bed, and were initially given a queen. When we were moved to a king it was in the back corner of the hotel facing a hill which they tried to disguise with some flowers. It's not really close to any of the parts of St thomas that we wanted to see. Fortunately we found a room at another facility after our first night there and salvaged the remainder of our honeymoon week! Leaving there was the best decision we'd made. ...... especially after being awakened at 7am to the soothing sounds on construction crews demolishing the room next to us.
we liked the proximity to the airport, we could just walk there
slow checking in and out
The view was beautiful. Close to the airport.
Even though I had a confirmed reservation, I was told that the rooms were all booked. Lack of decor to the room. Bathroom sink did not drain. The unplugged refrigerator was full of food that drained onto the floor during the stay. Needless to say the odor was horrific.
I had to wait about Two hours for my room to be ready.
Close to the airport. Staff professional.
Very, very run down. Had to lift bags to the second floor ( no elevator). Value for money exceptionally poor. For over $ 230 U.S. which converted to $ 250 Canadian I would expect quite a lot more. At least throw in breakfast! I would never stay again.
People in the restaurant area were very nice.
The price of a room there was much too expensive. I would not stay there again.
A very relaxing resort for spending the night before flight home in the morning.....short walk to airport. Convenient shuttle service to sister resort....great lunch with lovely landscaped grounds, pool and gorgeous beach!
We were told we could set a wake up call on clock radio in our room, but to our surprise, there was no clock radio to be seen in our room, and when we told the clerk at desk, she said, "all rooms have a clock radio, and we could not depend on night shift for a wake up call in the morning". And she was right....no wake up call!!! We never experienced such an inconvenience....no one wanted to go one step further to make our stay a little easier for our flight home in the morning. Where was the clock radio??
