Loved the grounds that were well maintained, the Wildlife, the beautiful vaulted ceilings in our unit
Service for meals was often slow but who's in a rush?
Everything was great best on the island friendliest staff
Very difficult to find, poor road signage
The location was amazing and being on the beach was fantastic.
The cost of cabs is very high. I would recommend a car rental. Being so secluded is good but lack of food choices is tough.
We loved everything about this place. The staff were all wonderful, the food was great and the location was beautiful. The island offers plenty of things to do. In fact, we did not even get to all of them! Dang, I guess we have to come back;)
Not that I didn't like it, but be aware that there is a little walking from the rooms to the parking lot. Great place to stay if you do not want to gain weight (which we did not)!
The beach was beautifu along with the facilities.
The service was very slow and not always very friendly. Had to ask for food several times on several occasions. No plates at buffet. Had to ask staff. Good would run out and we'd have to ask. 45 minutes to get eggs!
the food started out a bit slow, breakfast was fair, then we had lunch and it was better. After a few days each meal was better and better until the last night which our meal was simple the best. The staff was outstanding and pleasing to chat with. The entire complex was great to tour around the grounds and the beach was awesome as was the pool.
Scenic Views, Beautiful Beaches, Gorgeous Spacious Rooms.
The food was just ok
We wanted a stress-free, beach vacation before moving into winter and we found it! The staff was really, genuinely friendly. The location was wonderful. The resort is located along the water without any other hotels in the area. With separate buildings, it blends beautifully into the landscape. The beach is huge with sand access to the water (no rocks to step on). The evening entertainment was changed nightly and all of it was excellent. There was a nice variety of foods on the menu. All of it made to order and very fresh.
There wasn't a large selection of exercise machines in the workout room and some of those were very old.
The staff were extremely friendly down to Rich and Philpemia which I know I'm spelling wrong:( I was torn between the Buchaneer or renaissance and After going and seeing the Buchaneer I am so glad I made the right choice!! You feel like your in Hawaii with all the lush tropical palm trees and mountains and the beach was fantastic!!! A very special thank you to Christine Cruz who went out of her way to make us feel so special!!! She upgraded us and left champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and a lovely note:)) this was my first time in St Croix and I will definetly be back!!!!!!
Friendly, accommodating staff, beautiful location, clean.
More timely info from staff on things to do and tours available. Food was just ok and overpriced.
The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy. View of the ocean was spectacular.
Staff in restaurant were S-L-O-W. Plan on 30 minutes to have a cup of coffee.
We stayed in room 257. It was a perfect location to the beach, the view from the patio was amazing. The rooms were cleaned every day and we enjoyed the staff, they were very friendly, helpful and professional. We enjoyed the entertainment on the weekend in the Flamboyant Lounge area. The privacy of the beach was spectacular.
I got sick the first day we arrived, I believe it was the food (from the Flamboyant Lounge) or perhaps the water. Some restaurants on the island filter their water.
Fantastic upstairs room: high ceiling, balcony had bug netting so great for breakfast and drying dive gear, sound of the ocean, kitchen had a full size fridge, a dish washer, sink, flatware, glassware and silverware, big double sink bathroom and shower. Dive shop on location is called Sweetbottom- the entire team are great to work with.
My only vice: an occasional cigar, was relegated to the beach. :( I guess this could be a plus for some. Meals are also slightly overpriced although there is a good selection and the quality and service were good.
The staff was tremendous! Ms. Pearl greeted us with warmth in a welcome. The front desk and navigator staff gave great advice for activities and dining. Ms. Rebecca, the morning wait staff, was extraordinary! The facilities were beautiful. If your considering visiting St. Croix, this is the jewel of the island!
Nothing! Everything was spectacular.
Service was excellent and everyone on the staff were very friendly.
Please add more local food choices on the menu :)
This was probably one of my favorite vacations. The staff were top notch. I can't say enough about Jackie. She goes above an beyond to make guests feel at home. All the staff really are top notch. The food is a bit pricey and over-rated but there is so much to explore and take in on the island. Love the beach location and privacy. This to me is the selling point. Already dreaming about going back.
The location is a bit of a drive from other site seeing locations but its worth the drive. Renting a care is a must.
The resort was amazing! Gorgeous private beach, great rooms and friendly staff.
Half hour taxi ride to the nearest cities.
Th staff was excellent and very accommodating. Lounge and bar were great & and the bartender, "Bernard" made the best cocktails.
The rooms were a little dark, a little musty, but understood why given the location to the sea. Biggest concern were the ants that we eventually found on our last day crawling in the bed.
The view of the ocean and mountains were breath taking. After a longer travel from the states, being treated with a rum punch was the perfect way to begin a vacation. We enjoyed the one night so much, we are returning two days before our departure from St Croix.
The room we stayed in had a slight mildew smell. It was probably due to being on the lower level. A room de-humidifier would help.
