    Resort was just okay not what I was expecting

    Long check in process and the surprise fees once checked into hotel I book this hotel months in advance only to still get charge more after the check in process so that really put a damper on my trip trying to get my money back because the advertised price threw booking isn't what I paid or intended too.

    At least they found my reservation finaly and I didn't need to start finding lodging at the unfamilier land.

    Front desk staffs were not friendly and not helpful, someone were somewhat impolite, took time to check in because they struggled to find my reservation - maybe thier reservation system had something wrong. Food in the restaurant were awesome, additional chage for special event dinner, what is all included ?

    Can't beat the location, short cab ride to Red Hook restaurants and ferry. The Ocean view room has breathtaking views. The pool area is one of the best I've seen on the island. The beach of this resort is also one of the better ones, with calm water and plenty of sandy area.

    The air conditioning is somewhat inadequate in the rooms, does not reach the bathroom/dressing area. It does cool just enough to sleep at night. The pool is quite a distance from the rooms and down 99 steps (they do provide a shuttle to get you back up top). There is construction on the property (as the oldest on St Thomas), but they are careful about when they work. We did not do the all inclusive, which I am glad as the food choices are repetitive.

    Always something to do. Friendly staff. Great food and drinks. The beach on the lot is great. Snorkeling and kayaking gear come free with the all inclusive. The spa looked nice but expensive. The shuttle around the resort was convenient.

    There was a lot of construction going on so we always got woken up early. The elevator by our room didn't work and we always had to go to a further one. If you don't get the all inclusive the resort can be expensive. Iguanas are always wanting food and follow people around. Bumper boats didn't go very fast and some didn't even work.

    The hospitality staff of workers was excellent except the front staff. From day one until our final day, we had to constantly call the front desk for hand wash clothes. Was it because we were of a different nationality from the other guest? It certainly felt like it !!! That needs to be addressed...ASAP! And to top it off, the guest of other "backgrounds and races" didn't have a problem with us! Something the front staff may want to keep in mind for future references. Overall, the stay was peaceful and very good. Thank you.

    I spend my hard earned money just like any "other" guest ... The front staff shouldn't treat anyone's family any different. I hope this helps with your reviews without any edits.

    Location and outdoor amenties were great. Activities Staff were great and had a lot of fun at the pool/beach.

    Front Desk checked in my father with out asking an for an ID, when the room was under my name. No credit card information was asked authorizing incidental fee's on the debit card on file not the credit that was to be used. Checked into the wrong room type and took about 25 min for the front desk to access the reservation. Agent was also chewing gum the entire time. The rooms had dirt on the paintings, which almost looked like throw up, smoke detector was hanging off the wall. Small bugs all over the sink area.

    Courteous and friendly staff. Great food! Excellent Service.. Bell Boy Samuel was absolutely the BEST!!

    Hotel grounds are immaculate and the pool was beautiful.

    Hotel staff is not very friendly and at times seems as if .they do not know what they are doing. In addition, the hotel cleaniness is not the greatest for a hotel this expensive, they do not pay attention to detail, saw lots of dust, crumbs and grime

    Location was fantastic. Staff was great.

    Facilities are aging. My son got cut in the hot tub from a tile. The staff was very attentive but the had known about the problem for a while.

    Booked hotel through outside online company for checkin at 2 pm. They couldn't find reservation and had to wait til after 7 pm to check in due to some computer update at 6 pm

    The views from the rooms are incredible

    Despite the evening dining dress code, the American guests totally ignored them. The staff admitted they didn't have the bottle to confront them. I personally did not like dining with slobs in beach shorts vests and caps on back to front.

    Beach and pool

    Food -98 steps to beach and pool -mold and shorting light fixture in bathroom - no real choices for dining - main dining room has no ambiance- "fancy" Italian restaurant had dull atmosphere and poor food -paid $34 for a 1/4inch strip steak - shrimp scampi was penne pasta and 3/4 inch salad shrimp - the whole place needs maintenance or updating. Public restrooms are disgusting.

    Food and drinks were great! Better than some other all-inclusive resorts I've been to. We had the bay view and it was beautiful. The beach was big enough and there was a ton of things to do just at the resort. For the price I couldn't have asked for much more. I would go back.

    We didn't have the best experience at the spa. It was overpriced and the massages weren't that awesome. After waiting 20 min after my scheduled appointment time I ran to the bathroom as quickly as possible and then the girl was miffed when I wasn't there and implied I was holding them up. Overall the staff was very nice and accommodating, save for a couple of servers at Manor House. The only thing I felt was missing was room service, though perhaps they do have it and I just managed to miss it. Also, this isn't necessarily a reflection on the hotel, but when they get you a cab to the airport no one tells you the cab makes multiple stops. Not a huge deal but we went about 20 minutes out of our way unexpectedly.

    Nice staff and beautiful location

    The beach, because of sharp rocks were under the water...I was told that somebody even was taken to emergency room because of that...In the last day of staying in the hotel towels wasn't change. Bed-linen was replaced, but it wasn't fresh and was crumpled. The impression was that it was used by somebody. As a result we've got some bites on the body which disappeared only after 2 weeks.

    The director of housekeeping save the day for them.. I was going to get my money back and go somewhere else on the second day..

    Housekeeping didn't do a good job of cleaning the room.. The beach was horrible at the hotel..

    we loved the resort, the staff was awesome. the all inclusive was great, the beach beautiful and the food for the most part was great

    Pools and ocean beach was great, I loved to swim up bar and the terrace. Lot's of activities to do, including snorkling, sailing, sunbathing, drinking, volleyball, pingpong, tennis, swimming, etc.

    98 steps from hotel to pool. Food was not great, but we rented a car so we ate off site and felt OK about the mediocre food.
