    I lived many years ago just down the hill from the castle and never visited it. It was a surprise and a pleasure when I did. The views are spectacular and the grounds are wonderfully maintained. The day after arriving, the storm came. But we felt safe and secure watching it from our balcony.

    There really was nothing I did not like. Only that we were only there for two days.

    The price was great. I got upgraded to a better room for the same price point and the Manager and the Bartender were particularly awesome. It felt like a community away from home. And the views are amazing!!

    There was one staff member that didn't speak English well and was almost abrasive. And beware of the stairs. Inquire after a room with a balcony to avoid them.

    front desk staff, not very helpful. gas got siphoned out the jeep parked on the property.

    I booked one night on the back end of a sailing trip. I was looking forward to the historic tour, but they were not available on Sunday. Also, most of the pirate statues are locked behind a gate and not accessible unless you take the tour. Views of the bay were fantastic. John, the hotel manager, was helpful and friendly. Server in the restaurant,Tanifa was great.

    Hot water was not hot. Food in the restaurant was uneven, but the service was good. Sushi roll was fresh. Garlic roasted chicken was simple but tasty. The 'au jus' was more like warmed over gravy. Do not order the lobster crostini, margarita or mojito.

    Caring staff, INCREDIBLE views, historic architecture, and privacy... The hotel sets a top one of the islands many inclines, secure and secluded, yet 5 mins., by foot, from the action... I shall return!!!!

    Location was historic, clean and had great views.

    Hotel Staff and looked on as we tried to carry four suitcases up five sets of long stairs, was soaked in sweat before I could check out. No elevators available, so just be in great shape before you stay in the S wing. Hotel staff did meet us at the room but just turned off the air then watched us as we carried the luggage up one stair case after another. Also, no phones or alarm clocks in room.

    What an unexpected little corner of paradise the Inn at Blackbeard's is. The accommodations were spectacular and spacious and much more than we were expecting or hoping for...and everything was stylish and immaculate. But the highlight of our stay was the wonderful staff. every person we came across was nicer than the next and went out of their way to make us happy. again...The Inn at Blackbeard's get an A+++ in my book. Thank you Lima and Brook.

    Small friendly hotel, excellent views, choice of 3 pools to choose from, good food in the evenings.Excellent value for money.

    Would be nice to have bar snacks at lunchtime

    The view is amazing!

    We ate dinner at the restaraunt and service was not so good as my husbands meal arrived at least 30 minutes before my own.

    There is NOTHING to like about this hotel.

    Took 20minutes to let us in the closed gate. Hotel restaurant and bar closed Sun/Mon (not disclosed). Had to walk down 99 steps to street to then begin looking for restaurant to eat. Manager says water was not drinkable and hotel provided no bottled water. Told us to walk to store, 15 minutes away if we wanted a drink. No internet. No phone. Asked for wake up call at 6:30am and NOBODY came by room to knock on door. Thankfully I was awake because the room's A/C sounded like a freight train and I could not sleep. I HATE THIS HOTEL!

    Staff was helpful, friendly and attentive, especially manager Chris. The location is great for exploring st. Thomas and the hotel is very unique.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful, responded quickly to any issues that came up. They also allowed me to use the microwave to re-heat some food occassions. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. Location to downtown and the views were spectacular.

    There was a problem with the water staying hot while taking a shower. Despite their efforts, this issue was not resolved. On two occasions, our room was not serviced, had to find someone to get clean towels.

    The location, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. I especially liked the view from the dining area and the sushi cuisine was outstanding. Ask the sushi chef, Steve, to make you a "Toni".

    The morning sounds made by the rosters, but I'd still stay there again.
