Can Gio Resort  

Can Gio Resort cannot be recommended to anyone from our perspective. Only good thing: the restaurant in the little village close by - called Ngoc Thoa - great food, good price, nice sercive, despite no word of English in the menu (prepare your Vietnamese a bit, they've got exotic meat dishes you might not want to order).

Where to start? It was a disappointment and not at all what you expect from a resort. We felt not welcome, but eventually tolerated (paying guests!). The beach close by is extremely dirty (dead fish, garbage, crude oil) and more or less a construction site, so there is just the pool. The pool was cleaned every day, but the deck chairs are pure wood and very hard - not comfortable and relaxing. On weekends lots of Vietnamese tourists in the area, but the also don't come to the hotel. Staff of the resort speaks hardly English but tries to help if requested. The restaurant of Can Gio resort is horrendously expensive for lunch/dinner - one dish from 150.000 vnd. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. We were there in March and had zillions of moskitos in the room - no where else in Vietnam had we ever seen so many moskitos all together. And keep in mind for the transfer away from the resort: you are dependent on the taxi of Saigontourist, the company that owns Can Gio Resort - negotiate hard - from 1.500.000 vnd we came down to 800.000 vnd for the trip back to Ho Chi Minh city. Anyway, just don't go there.

very close the mangrove forest, but actually there's only 1 hour driving from Saigon, so suggest not to spend 1 night here, since the facilitate of this hotel is not very good

There is a good food market next to the fish market on the opposite side of the road to the entrance of the hotel, this is the only good thing!!!!!

This was a very expensive hotel for what you got for your money. The pool was ok but they have problems with swimming shorts!!!! If you are not Vietnamese they will treat you very differently, but not necessarily well!! The breakfast is very basic and there were flies all over the salad and fruit, they had no cereal, no milk and bread and jam was all we could eat, we even bought our own cheese to make it a little better. I requested an extra bed for one of my sons prior to staying at the hotel when I arrived they refused to get me one but charged me $15 per night anyway. They also have taken three turtles out of the sea and they are kept in a tiny pool where there is not enough room for them to swim. The restaurant on the beach is disgusting and is ridiculous that they charge 5 star prices for such basic food. Spring rolls which normally cost a dollar, cost $9 here this is the kind of price comparison you will need to think about. I would never stay here again it is the worst hotel I have had the experience of staying in. The staff were rude and even the manager didn't understand English, she just smiled at everything you said but didn't solve any problems at all. If this is a resort for people other than Vietnamese the hotel needs to change its attitude towards foreigners. Oh and the buildings are old and the view out of my window was on a rubbish dump where they burned the rubbish over looking the most disgusting beach I have ever seen my life.

очень красивая, первозданная природа! уютные номера, изысканный дизайн отеля, приветливый персонал. тишина умиротворяет, большой бассейн.

очень отдаленное расположение (вунг тао). на такси поездка занимает не менее 2,5 часов. причем часто пробки и долгое ожидание парома (чтобы добраться, надо пересекать реку). высокая цена такси-трансфера. только потом узнали, что можно легко, быстро и дешево добраться на корабле (морским путем от порта хо ши мин). скудный завтрак (нет шведского стола). очень мало кафе-ресторанов, они работают часов до 19-20...потом можно заказать только самые дорогие блюда, которые остались от первоначального меню. нет развлекательных мест, цены на все высокие. море грязное с этой стороны из-за наличия промышленных предприятий. очень много комаров.

Отдыхали в отеле с 1-6 ноября. Не сезон. Из Сайгона на такси 1 час 20 мин. Отель чистый, аккуратный, видно, что за ним ухаживают, бассейн чистый. Брали бунгало люкс с видом на море, ежедневно убирали, меняли постельное и полотенца, свежие фрукты в номере постоянно. Персонал отзывчивый, доброжелательный, но плохо говорящий по -англиски. Мы выходили из положения с помощью мобильного телефона - переводчик гугл сразу на вьентамский переводили. Брали только завтраки, вполне нормально. В основном, яишница, булка и арбуз. Кофе вкусный. По субботам шведский стол - вот тут - то ешь что хочешь!

Море грязное и мутное (не сезон, возможно в сезон здесь будет замечательно, не знаю). Утром отлив мощный, днем прилив и вся муть из Меконга на берегу. Кафешки не дешевые.

Ik heb geen waardevolle zaken achter gelaten in de kamer, maar toch was mijn meervoudig mes, die voorzien is van een schroevendraaier enz.. Uit mijn rugzak verdwenen. Ik heb dit aan de receptie gemeld en plots verstonden ze maar weinig Engels meer. Dus een goed raad, laat er niets achter op je kamer die enigzins waardevol is. In hun ogen is misschien een kleine noodzaak voor ons, waardevol voor hen.

値段、星を考えると十分なレベル 設備、朝食、従業員の対応など、まぁよかった ホテル前の市場でシーフードを購入し、市場内の食堂で食べたが、おいしかった

カンザーでまともとなホテルはここだけ 観光で回るとこも少なく、ホーチミンから日帰り圏内なので、わざわざ泊まる必要あるのかとも考えてしまった-

Not many things are really nice on this Hotel.

Every day the same Breakfast. On Sunday morning the bred are from Saturday the plan eggs all prepared and cold. The cook was there and did'nt make some eggs fresh. Very lazy. The water of swimmingpool very dirthy and not clear. This Hotel is only 2 Stars when not only 1 Star. Can't reccomend this Hotel for 53.-$ per day is'nt worth.

Vet inte vem som ska åka till Can Gio. Det ligger långt från Ho Chi Minh med två bussbyten och färja. Resan dit tar ett par timmar. Det finns knappt några restauranger runt resorten och inget att handla samt att resortens mat var både dyr och rätt kass. Poolen är bra men det finns det fler hotell som har. Resorten ligger vid en strand som är skräpig och vattnet är riktigt smutsigt och inget att bada i. Känns som resorten sett sina bästa dagar. Kanske var det något för partitopparna på 70-talet?
