Empress Hotel Dalat  

Good location. Interesting design.

For the second time in this hotel I experienced a discrepancy between the Booking.com and the reality. First time the booking was not done at all, though I had a voucher. For the second time Booking.com described the room as 3 persons, in reality there was only one king size bed. Also there is a noise from the hotel and road traffic. When you need a private you have to shut the shutters and then there is no daylight coming in the room

It's just in front of the lake, and very convenient to the market

It's location was good, and that's why we choose it in the first place.

English knowledge of staff in restaurant was nil. Only at reception could you ask for something. Our room had a nice view on the lake, however, the restaurant directly on the lake started with loud music at 06.00h and in went on until 23.00h. Both of the rooms we stayed at need improvements all over the place. The fact that you can smoke in the small restaurant does not make having breakfast a pleasure. And sitting at one of the few non-smoking tables does not do the trick. It is like having a pipi corner in a swimming pool! There is no air conditioning to take out the humidity. And it does get humid no matter what they tell you.

Hotel is close to Dalat market which has lots of things to eat, see, and buy. Hotel has peek-a-boo view of the lake, and is close to some attractions. Attractions in Dalat are quite spread out, we're glad to have rented a car/driver to take us around.

Dalat has lots of mosquitoes, and even hotel room has lots of it. Too bad rooms do not have mosquito nets, which would help. Breakfast area is small with minimal selection. Can't really open window shutters or people walking outside can look into your room due to exterior corridors. At night, you can hear people singing from karaoke/bars.

Giải quyết vấn đề chưa được chu đáo về booking.

- Empress hotel có sự yên tĩnh trầm ngâm và lãng mạn hiếm có bên bờ Hồ Xuân Hương thơ mộng. Tôi yêu thích sự cổ điển, mộc mạc và tiện nghi ở đây.

- Khách sạn nên bổ sung thực đơn nhà hàng. Hoặc nếu có thể hãy xây thêm một nhà bếp nhỏ, để du khách nước ngoài có những yêu cầu khác nhau về ăn uống, có thể tự chế biến món ăn cho riêng mình,

I think this is one of the best hotel in Dalat! good place to stay...

Only good thing about this hotel - location near lake and city centre

Very run down hotel. Room was very smelly and dark,. We mentioned this to the staff and they just shrugged. Notice in room about poor security due to windows at ground level. Had to check all valuables in with reception. Bed extremely uncomfortable. Wifi did not work at all. They needed one hour to make up the bill.
