We loved everything about our stay! Green Hope Lodge is family-run, and everybody goes out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We really felt like part of the family. The huts are spacious and clean, the location by the river is idyllic, and they serve good food at moderate prices. All the staff were extremely helpful, providing us with information about the park, suggesting tours and helping us organize our onward journey. We rented bikes in the National Park and went to Crocodile Lake (ca.14km bike tour + 5km hike), which was a great trip. Even though we did not see any gibbons we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nam Cat Tien and will always remeber our stay at Green Hope Lodge fondly: Relaxing in the hammocks by the river in the evening, listening to the jungle sounds surrounding us, teaching Luan some German words and learning some Vietnamese from him, the peace and quiet, the lovely people,... We will certainly be back!

There was nothing we did not like.

This place is perfect for visiting the national park. It is in a really peaceful location. We also asked the hotel to organise our transport from Ho Chi Minh to them, and onwards to Dalat. They provided an excellent car and driver. We organised a boat ride, which was one of the best things we did. No tour guide, total peace, a lovely walk to reach the boat. And make sure you pre-order dinner...the rest of the food is ok, but the preordered dinners are fantastic. The staff really make this place.

Towels tiny and thin, breakfast uninspired, thin walls.....but totally outweighed by the good things. Plus you get what you pay for and this place is really good value.

Location just over the river from Cat Tien National Park. The staff were pleasant and helpful if a little more laid back than most places we stayed in Vietnam. They oranised our Gibbon Trail for the next day at 4am and brought me a delicious ginger tea without being asked when they saw me suffering with a cold when we arrived.

The accomodation is a little basic for the price compared with other hotels in Vietnam but the place is fairly remote.

Much better than we were expecting! It is great value. Rooms are very good for forest lodges, spacious and comfortable, clean and good quality bedding and furniture. Large tiled bathroom with powered hot water. The setting next to the river is beautiful with many fruit trees and sunset views. Location is just a 10 min walk down to the ferry to the park, I think its worth it for staying here. Food is simple but ample sizes and reasonable prices. There were unexpected treats provided and including a basic breakfast (drinks extra). Staff were very friendly and helpful with park recommendations and onward travel arrangements. Local buses for HCMC come and go from the gate. They didn't just recommend expensive tours - plenty of things we could do self -guided.

The towels were quite small - maybe bring your own. Bathroom would benefit from better ventilation.

The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The location by the river is idyllic and the lodges are really comfortable and clean. A great holiday experience.

There was nothing to dislike at the Green Hope Lodge.

The staff were excellent and rooms immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. We booked a twin bed bungalow and had a large double bed each. Le and Luan looked after us very well and made sure we were never bored! The food was delicious and very fresh.

Maybe a little more choice on the menu is needed if staying there for a longer period of time.

We loved this place!! Would definietly recommed! Really friendly staff who was always ready to help you. Room was nice, spacious and comfortable. Hot water access was always working well. Short walking to the ferry taking you to the Cat Tien park. Really no need to accommondate on the park.

    Nothing! :)

The staff were very friendly and the bungalow was situated on the river. Very beautiful setting.

On reflection we would have preferred to have stayed inside the national park which is across the river so we could have had the freedom to explore when we want rather than relying on an organised can cross by ferry boat yourself but not very early in the morning (when it's the best time to see the wildlife)

Hot shower and quality of bed and mosquito net were ok.

No wi-fi in the rooms and the wi-fi in the lobby was not working half the time. No privacy as the bungalows have two rooms which are not even a little bit soundproof. Disguting breakfast made of 2 overcooked fried eggs and a piece of bread. No tea or coffee or juice was even offered. But the main problem is with the staff! They were so incompetent and not helpful at all. They had so little idea what they were doing, it looked like the hotel had just opened the day before, but no, it is 2 years old! They could not book us a tour of the jungle with a park guide, although it's basically the only thing worth doing there! Upon booking a bus back to HCMC, the option we were proposed (regular line or open tour bus) changed 3 times in a 2 day period... When the boss tried to help by taking our bags to where we were taking the bus, he insisted to put them on his scooter in a very awkward fashion and of course dropped one bag on the floor. And of course, it was the most expensive hotel we booked during that trip to vietnam...

There are no words which can describe the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The best people I met in the world. Good meals and quiet area close to the park.

Hard way to get there. But its worth.

Very friendly staff, gave us a free Vietnamese language lesson and lots of good conversation and helpful tips. They helped us call a taxi when we were stuck on highway 125. The location is stunning right on the river front. Great food in the restaurant and pretty good prices.

I got a full on electrical voltage shock from a metal lamp on the wall just from touching the fitting, and ended up with a burn on my finger. Tried to explain to the staff but the language barrier was too difficult. So many spiders in the bathroom. That's to be expected though as the cabin was on the edge of beautiful rainforest. The staff kind of wouldn't leave us alone, they were so friendly! For us that was ok but maybe for some couples they might want more alone time.
