As you all may know the Hanoi Elegance Hotel Group, which currently has only 3 branches at No. 8 Hang Bac Street, No. 85 Ma May Street and No.106 Hang Bong Street, are becoming very popular with tourists and travellers. However, some travellers reportedly had trouble with the taxi transportation from Noibai Int'l Airport to Hanoi Elegance hotels. Sometimes the drivers purposely try to scam guests by sending them to a certain hotel with inconspicuous signs. Upon arriving, a man quickly came out with a Hanoi Elegance hotel card in hand and told the passengers that they did arrive at Hanoi Elegance Hotel but it was full at the moment. He then said that they had a "sister hotel" just a few blocks away. The passengers are sent to a different hotel of lower standard where the driver gets some commissions from that hotel owner. No one can eventually guarantee the service of the latter hotel, or predict what scam will come next.
As such, it is highly advisable that every traveller to Hanoi in general and to Hanoi Elegance Hotel in particular should be alert not to totally depend on either the taxi driver or hotel staff that he recommends. Instead, the street and hotel signs should be pointed out to the traveller by the driver so that they know whether they are being transferred to the right hotel.
We recommend that our guests take further preventive measures by contacting us in advance at our address for our airport pickup service.

Like the rest of the reviews you'll read on the internet about the Hanoi Elegance Hotels, these guys have figured out that travellers require assistance and they offer it willingly and deliver it promptly. If you ask them to jump they will politely ask you "how high?" and the best part is, everyone appears to be genuinely happy; there is no sense of insincerity. They arranged our airport pickup, our train tickets from Danang, our airport drop off and stored our luggage while we were in Mai Chau and Hoi An. |

Hotel staff were superby, could not do enough. Message to anyone with asthma. Hanoi is so polluted, togther with high humdity and high tempratures be sure to take your inhlaers when you go out for walk. It is no exaggertaion to say it may save your life. Also for nut allergy suffers almost all Vietnamese cooking is cooked in nut oil. Remember this |
