Room size and quality is not as see in the picture Not all taxi knows the place Renovation going on the next building so very noisy. Room had no city view
Location was excellent Staff are friendly and helpful Excellent price Nice breakfast I would stay here again.
There is some renovation occuring, but they don't make noise until about 9am. Some of the rooms are aging... but being renovated.
Location, staff, Price
The washroom's facilities were poor, the shower holder broke down and i had to take a bath while holding it, on the other hand construction and drill work started at 6 am in the morning some where right above my room. The noise was enough muffle a F=16
Breakfast buffet excellent
Great breakfast. The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Tran Van Luong and Diep Minh Trung.
the staff were not as friendly as all other hotel staff we encountered in Vietnam
Clean, worth for money, location is OK not too far from Benthan market
My room is not have window
Renovations happening right next to our room, jackhammers being used at 7am
Staff. they are very helpful.
Breakfast spread was good with many varieties.
The room has no windows and the aircon is super noisey in the night.
The Location was exellent
More expensive than other places, but a nice way to finish a holiday. Clean, great breakfast, staff and location.
Renovation is going on, noisy
Best breakfast in Vietnam
Dated room Got what we paid for
Unfortunately in HCM (Saigon) hotels are pretty expensive, so given the price of HHL South Hotel it wasn't too bad. Th rooms are very basic and unless you book a more expensive room in the hotel, you will be stuck either with a smaller room or without a window. We had to change rooms as we got stuck in a smokers room, which the staff offered to "clean". They were happy to move us though. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and the location is perfect as it is away from "backpacker street". Although we are "backpackers" ourselves, this so called backpackers area, had a few too many idiots (to put it bluntly). The hotel is very basic, but if you are on a budget then I would recommend. If you are looking for somewhere nice, then either book a more expensive room or one of the adjoining hotels (there are four connected) or somewhere else.
The view from the pool to the beach was very nice.
My opinion of this hotel is based on my experience of staying in other facilities in Vietnam and here is why it comes up short. 1. When we arrived there was no big welcome, the staff just ran through the motions about our stay without being very helpful. It's the little things like when you arrive they just give you some cheap ice tea, where as in every other hotel we stayed in we were given some nice fancy drink. 2. The building work was very annoying and we weren't told about this on check in and the seemed to be sneaky about it. Listening to two big diggers digging away whilst we were trying to relax by the pool was not what we needed. They were also an eye sore. Also it would have been nice to have been offered a free dinner or something like that in order to make up for the big inconvenience it caused us. 3. The Air Con panel was coming off the wall and the electricity would shut off in our room unless we jammed a piece of paper behind our hotel card to keep it in place. Both problems were reported neither was fixed. 4. The staff were constantly coming up to us trying to sell us stuff from a taxi to a trip to the Islands. Every time it was the same thing of two minutes of general chat before the started to mention that they have a brother or a friend that runs a trip to the islands for cheap. It was constantly being bothered. It is not what we needed when you are trying to relax on holiday. Overall very very disappointing and I would not recommend anyone to stay there.
I recently stayed at this Hotel with my mum for 4 nights and everything about the hotel was great. We arrived pretty early for our check in ( 11am) but we were given a drink at reception and they had our room ready within half an hour Unfortunately the room was rather small with no window, so we enquired about moving to a bigger room and we were given an amazing room for only a fraction of an extra cost to us. Staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really good. Tours were organised for us really well. Free internet access and Wi Fi available. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again during my next trip to HCM.
I can't think of anything I would say I didn't like about the hotel
Location in the city center, (district 1)...near many restaurants, mall, market, cafe. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with many options. Wifi connection was very good. Room is small but clean.
No window in the room
Family room very big n spaces...
Water Heater temperature not stable...
The air-conditioner is very bad. We slept in a very stuffy room for 3 night., its worst in the day despite complaining to the front office.
Location of hotel is close to many attractions. Hotel is across on a wide street and has a large sidewalk ooen area unlike other 3 star hotels on a small street. Breakfast was decent and had good selection including a Pho souo and egg station.
Furniture is a bit dated for a premium room as well as window is view of another window and brick wall of another hotel. Their is no street or city view. They should state and make this clear (room has window, but no view).
I like the location. It's close to the tourist spots that i planned to visit. The staff are very hospitable and very enthusiastic to help.
There is only thing I didn't like in the hotel. It's the lady chef who mans the egg preparation in the morning. Unlike the other staff, she was very aloof and unfriendly. Her behavior made me feel I wan not welcome as a hotel guest.
Loved staying here.
We stayed in a room with 2 double bed. The room is big enough and comfortable. We are very satisfied in this hotel.
