12 very large suites ( separate large bed / lounge / balcony areas very comfortable large bed, big bathroom with long bath and shower . Gardens Outstanding friendly. Knowledgeable staff Open air dining overlooks River
Everything about this hotel is amazing...close to old town but far enough away that you are not caught up in the tourist chaos! The staff make a huge effort to greet you by name and make sure your stay is as relaxed as possible!
Best place where to stay in Hoi An. Excellent staff. Super clean. Fantastic view. Large room with garden view or pool/river view. ++++++++
The services is excellent and the room is very spacious and comfortable. It is only a few minutes walk to the old town. Quite a convenient location.
Staff amazing Banana pancakes at breakfast to die for. Pretty much everything
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great, only 5 minutes to the centre of town. Breakfast was delicious! Free bicycle hire, tried the beach one day, a bit of a hike but worth it.
A bit pricy but relatively good value for money if you take into account the location and the quality of the rooms.
friendly staff, good location, big room, good atmosphere, will stay here when I back to Hoi An
Spa villa was relaxing. Water was a little warm but still refreshing. Service was great, friendly and helpful. Villa was spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable.
Restuarant food was average. Very western. Didn't stock any champagne
THE WELCOME, THE MANAGERESS AND HER COLLEAGUES WERE 1ST CLASS AS WAS THE STAY
The hotel is very nice, staff is very helpful and breakfast is amazing!
Rooms and services a bit pricey. Disappointing spa (the massage wasn't so good).
Our villa was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The gardens were beautiful and also very well maintained. The staff were helpful and attentive. The resort is only a 5 minute casual walk from the old town but is quiet and relaxing. We would recommend a villa with a pool.
Can't make decent pizza!
All was wonderfull: spacious villas, pool, view on the river. Quiet and peaceful hotel but on the other hand really close to the city center. Very friendly and polite staff. Good WiFi connection. Everything was fabulous.
Very warm welcome, staff well informed, helpful always have a smile on their faces! We loved it so much we have extended our stay for as long as we could, changing our holiday plans... Highly recommended.
The staff were all excellent, very helpful and responsive. The location was great with lovely views of the river, and a 2 minute walk to the night market and the main streets of Hoi An for shopping, sightseeing and restaurants. The pool villa was a good size with a huge bath and very nice walk-in shower.
The only drawback of the stay was that the beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable. They did change the pillows for us which helped a little.
The location was the most we liked, far from the crowded downtown, in a quiet neighborhood, though walking distance to center. The breakfast place is surrounded by a vast garden and overlooking the river. The apartment( villa) was well designed with chill out area and roomy bedroom and bath.
For such a fancy place, I would have loved better towels, and toiletries. The bikes provided could use some maintenance. Ours had no working brakes and gear change.
Near to town (an ugly walk there, but near none the less). That is the only good thing I can think of. The positive reviews on this site perplex me. Best I can guess is people must not get much to decent hotels.
River view villa had almost no river view. It was absurd. I asked to change rooms and was told all the villas have the same obstructed views."that's the way it was designed" I was told. The only villas with views were the highest tier jacuzzi villas which sat right on top of each other with zero privacy, I would be very disappointed if we opted for that. The air conditioning system was abysmal and there was no breeze. Like in most vietnamese hotel rooms the power shuts off when you leave the room so you come back to a stuffy 100 degree swamp and it takes about 2 hours for it to get to about 80 degrees. Awful matress. Although we asked for a full or queen we relieved to twin beds pushed together with a sheet over the both to join them which we would fall through in the middle of the night. Woke up with terrible neck and back pain. Food was the biggest nightmare. Everything was covered in flies and looked as if it had been sitting around for days so I opted for cereal. The milk was warm so I asked for cold milk. "We don't have cold milk. I can give you ice". No thank you. The next morning I opted for a sealed package of yogurt from a refrigerator. I opened it and discovered it had a large patch of mold. I showed one of the waitresses and she giggled and said "no eat" and threw it away. We also stayed at two other hotels while in Hoi An, one of which was actually a bit cheaper for a villa and it had spectacular views and service, called Ancient House, it's a 2$ ride to town but it's well worth it. Hoi An Marina looks like a run down Howard Johnson's or Best Western or something on that level. The pool was missing tiles, the whole place was a rundown. Avoid!
Location is great, very quiet but close to town. The breakfast every day was beautiful. Our river view villa was gorgeous, roomy and the biggest bed I have seen in a hotel. I can't think of a thing wrong with our stay, can't wait to go back again:)
The location is great - a peaceful sanctuary away from the heat and busyness of the town, yet within easy reach of the old town. Staff are wonderful and keen to ensure all your needs are met. We stayed 8 nights and could not have been happier with our choice. Thanks to all the staff at Hoi An Marina Resort - we had a wonderful stay.
Food on the room service menu was adequate but not outstanding.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Arranged babysitting services. Breakfast was decent. Accommodated our request for half boiled eggs that my son loves. Location is 5 mins walk to the historic town area. All in all an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
Spaghetti Carbonara for room service was made with tomato sauce and Thai Basil. That didn't go down too well with my kids.
The staff are lovely. The setting is like paradise. I highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent location just on the river and walking distance to the town. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious and in excellent condition
A beautiful small hotel in a wonderful setting, beside the river, away from the hectic activity in the town but only a five minute walk to the shops etc. The staff, from the manager to the gardeners were incredibly polite, welcoming & helpful.
The resort is located on a small residential lane which is a short walk from the old town. The staff is wonderful, always with a smile on their faces. The room is spacious and comfortable.
There are some signs of wear and tear in the bathroom and there are only two pillows :)
Staff and location could not be better! Nice to be next to river and really liked walk and bike rides to town, just minutes to everything. We also stayed just out of town and wish we would have stayed at the Marina all week. Breakfast in the outdoor restaurant was beautiful and everyone was so sweet and helpful with our little girls.
My husband and I stayed in the Hoi An Marina for four nights. We rather liked the fact that the place was small with only a dozen or so rooms. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean, lovely big beds (two pushed together but still comfy) and nice sized bathroom. Staff were attentive, super friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Nice view of the river ( if you go for a room with a view!) We loved the fact that we could wander into the town which is only 10 minutes walk and do some shopping, have a beer and watch the world go by. They have free bikes which we took out a couple of times, it's an ideal way to see the surrounding countryside.
The Hotel is by no means a resort and spa. Basically someone has built holiday accommodation in their large back garden! That said, for us, it was fine but if you are looking for a big resort this is not the place to go. My only real gripe was the breakfast. The selection is poor and what they do have is not particularly good quality. It really irritated me when I asked the cook working on the egg station for a poached egg and I may as well have asked for the moon.....needs sorting out.
