Hoi An Trails Resort & Spa    

Very nice hotel complex. Perfect pool, large rooms, nice breakfast. We have really appraciated the service of the staff.

Free bicykles are nice to have but they have to be maintanced. Our bicykles has broken twice.

It's an unspoilt small to medium hotel providing clean and comfortable accommodation, good and cheap food served by very helpful and respectful staff. Extremely good value for money and would return.

Only downside was the gym equipment didn't work although an early morning run of approx 2km to the beach along the main road is possible with care.

The pool is beautiful , rooms are very spacious, close to the beach. The lady who owns the little restaurant next door seems quite honest and good prices.

A bit of a hike from Hoi An old town,although bikes are available.. Wi- Fi can be a bit hard to access depending on you room( 700-712 didn't work at all)

Bice friendly staff, big rooms, not too small and not too big

After a bad start at this resort because of roosters in a neighbouring property waking us up at 5am 2 mornings in a row. After deciding we would check out early because of this the staff said they would give us a free upgrade if we would stay. In the end the room we got moved to was amazing, quiet and huge. Nice big pool which was great to relax in.

On arrival we showed our confirmation booking information however there were no rooms of this type available due to an error their end. It took 20 minutes to find a solution. They then said we could stay in a different type of room but we had to pay the extra due to their error, we refused. The staff were very rude and unhelpful with this situation. We then had to wait for the bedroom to be made up. The room was still rather dirty and sheets weren't changed throughout of 4 day trip. The food in the resturant was terrible and very expensive but we were I formed by the staff at reception that all places in the centre would be closed for food at 9pm, which obv the next day we found out was incorrect. Breakfast wasn't very good either, we ate at 9.30am yet all tables were being cleared around you getting ready fof lunch when breakfast finished at 10.

Wonderful hotel in keeping with the spirit of the town, very much how you would expect an indochine style to be. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The doors all bang shut, so you can't really have a sleep in as the neighbours make lots of noise as they come and go.

It was a great place to relax.

Drinks were quite expensive, as other nearby locations offered the same drinks at lower prices.

It is located between the ciry centre and the beach with a shuttle bus to both. The hotel has a great lay-out and spacious rooms

The communication was difficult since most staff couldn't speak english.

Our arrival was perfect and the staff took the time to sit down with you and talk about the things to do in Hoi An. We also took full advantage of the frequent shuttle buses to the town and beach.

Paying our bills for food was an ordeal with everything having to go through one computer so it's worth while to ask to pay when you receive your meal. Also their restaurant on the beach is nothing like the resort itself and I'm guessing whoever runs it pays the hotel to be associated with them

the breakfast was awful, very bad!

The rooms are spacious, clean and feel like luxury far beyond what we expected. The pool is huge and clean. The breakfast is pretty good, although the streaky bacon was poor and eggs not very well cooked.

The lady on reception (seemed to be manageress) was very sharp and not very helpful or welcoming. The pool bar was not open for use the whole time we were there. The 'Gym' facilities are shockingly poor, think cheap Argos treadmill left outside for a couple of years. The Sauna costs something like $6 to use and other spa treatments are overpriced. The bikes, although free to use, are rusted and not well maintained, the brakes in mine hardly worked which is not ideal for the sometimes hectic traffic. The restaurant is fairly over-priced, as is the laundry service (go across the road). Location isn't great, much too far to walk into town, you need to hire a bike or scooter.

Very nice pool area ,quiet location but easy reach by push bike to a great beach or old city of Hoi An with great food stalls and a relaxing atmosphere at night

The rooms were clean and well maintained with comfort and refuge in mind! The swimming pool, spa and swim up bar were a selling point for us as we were in need of some R&R. Shuttle service to Hoi An town was also a definite bonus.

Perhaps it was a little quiet when we went but that may be the time of year (September) also the clientele were a fair bit older than us (50+) it would have been nice to have some younger people there (perhaps luck of the draw, time of year or budgets)

The location was perfect. A lovely bike ride into Hoi An and a stroll or ride to the beach. The layout of the hotel was open and lovely, the pool was great, the staff were so friendly. The morning buffet was awesome and the food in the restaurant yummy x Also love the floating bar... It all created a lovely vibe, luxury without the price tag and complete convenience (away from the hustle and bustle). Very peaceful

We chose to stay 5 nights here as our splurge on this holiday & it was the most we paid the whole time we were in Vietnam. Situated halfway between the town & beach, the hotel runs a free town & beach shuttle at set times (about 5-6 times a day to each). Also has bikes available for guests. Room was large with a super king bed, mini bar, flat screen TV & safe; ample storage. It was clean & well maintained. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool, which had wooden loungers - probably one of the best on the site. Ensuite had a corner bath with shower over; again a large room. Breakfast - ended at 10am - was served in the restaurant & there was an excellent choice available, both western & local style. Food cooked to order with other mainstays in heated containers. Pool was relatively big with a separate jucuzzi & bar area. Large towels available for guest use, which you could take to the beach. Grounds were well maintained. Staff were attentive & tried to be helpful. We had a dodgy A/C unit in our room which 3 times started pouring water out & running hot. They were quick to try & mend it, although not v successful! 3 PCs were located in the 'Floating Bar' opposite reception.

Room towels were ok, but a bit skimpy although they did come around each room between 5 & 6 with clean ones. Spa was v expensive (in comparison to spas outside) even with a 50% promo & only saw one person use it. She did however say it was one of the best ones she'd ever had. Whilst the shuttle service was good, the last one back from town was at 9.15pm; 10pm would have been better. The bikes needed to be better maintained as they are starting to rust. A little oil would go a long way. The hotel suggests it has a private beach. This is not the case, but some association with the Sen restaurant there - along a line of other beachfront establishments. The day we went down, the staff there didn't seem bothered, chatting together. Nobody offered us cushions for the loungers & when we asked they told us it might rain & walked away. Eventually we took some off the pile ourselves. The place was not a good reflection of the hotel & the service offered back on the main site. Given that this was a largish hotel geared to international travellers, the standard of English spoken by some reception staff was not particularly good. Having said all this, it is a pleasant hotel & these things are more about improving the service & ironing out niggles.

When I arrived at my room, I had to check my email to actually confirm what I was paying for the room, appeared to be far to little. Traveling as a solo, although this place is a spa resort, did not feel that it was couples only. Free bikes (get in early like before 10am) give you access to town or beach.. Beach was about 1.5km away and City 4km. Both an easy ride, even if not comfortable riding on roads. very easy riding. Could be free Scooters also? The pool was clean and warm! The Horticulture staff were at work early in morning to make sure gardens were immaculate. Highly recommend! Cheap cab ride into town for dining & I believe the resort offers shuttle bus but on restricted times? Would pay to check

most of the stuff barely speaks english, especially those working in restaurant service should speak a little

The resort is really nice and I think for us west-europeans it can be considered very cheap. I do think that for Vietnam it's not that cheap and you might find something better for this price. What I found a bit annoying by this place is that there is a lot of staff walking around; at the internetcafe, the bar, the swimmingpool, the spa and of course the reception...but quite useless because they don't speak english at all or they just pretend that they understand you..but later you discover that they didn't afterall. For a 4 star resort full of tourists it's a bit strange. Maybe not so important, but if you have questions or you want to reserve a bike for the afternoon..and you can't make yourself understandable it can be irritating. The rooms are beautiful and the swimmingpool is nice too. If you want to use the spa to get a massage or drink something at the swimmingpool or use the laundry service, you immediately pay 3 times what you pay right around the corner..so you can also just avoid it and enjoy your room which is of course more important than the other services. Good location too, near beach and Hoi An.

Got bitten by bugs by the pool

This is a great place to stay when in Hoi An...It is clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly..The lush tropical gardens and the pool make it a delightful and relaxing hotel...I Will be returning to this hotel on my next visit !

The hotel is not located on the beach or near the old town, however there are plenty of different modes of transport that are readily available. The good prices and nice surrounds make up for this issue.
