Nothing that comes to mind We had a musty room and we had to constantly open all the windows and doors to get the smell out. Breakfast could have more variety. The water pipes blocked up on our last night and took two trips in reception to get things sorted out therefore we couldn't use our shower or toilet.

We might liked it with other staff. We did not like the hotel staff, we complained about the price that was different than when we booked. The receptionist was unpolite when we notice her about that. Her english was verry bad, so we left from the hotel with a bad feeling. And the luggage carrier was unpolite too. So think twice before booking there, we are never going back.

From the minute you walk in you are made feel welcome by the wonderful staff....the bell boy , the reception girls and the staff all around the hotel. Unfortunately the rooftop is under renovation - apparently getting ready for the upcoming storm season....of course nothing of that on the internet when you book....

Hotel was very nice. It's located about a 20 minute walk from the old town, however the hotel provides a shuttle service which can be handy for when your feeling lazy. Free bikes also available. Rooms were very comfortable. But the best part of this hotel has to be it's private beach which is simply stunning. Prices are expensive for food, drink and laundrey services. However there are several cheap restaurants across the road which also provide a cheap laundry service. Also the shuttle bus timetable into town is a bit obscure. If you want to go into the old town in the evening you are only given the options of 5pm and 8pm.

Nice location, in between beach and old city. The room smelled not too well and the breakfast was quite dissatisfactory.

We had a nice stay Laundry service was great! The pool was a nice place to relax after shopping. Overall, it was pleasant enough but be prepared to be scammed at every opportunity. We were constantly surprised by the poor service of some front counter staff (rude, grumpy). Be careful that you don't get sucked in to the scam that drops you at the 'highly recommended' Managers wifes tailor shop - so convenient! Our room smelt mouldy but after being in there for a few minutes with the ac on we stopped noticing it.The food in the restaurant was probably the worst i've had in vietnam and would recommend eating elsewhere in town. Taxis will try and rip you off getting in and out of town (including the one the hotel recommends/uses) - be sure to negotiate before you get in.

Its shuttle bus to the towan was not bad but the frequency was very low especially at night. For a 4 star hotel the hotel was not worth it. The buffet food was the worst I have had so far. No edible food. Very oily and unappetising. We were stuck in the elevator for 25 minutes. The staff had to resue us after almost 20 minutes of calling for help. The services were very average for a 4 star hotel and high rates. Not worth the stay.

The best hotel we stayed at in our travels through Vietnam. The facilities (especially the wifi and complimentary shuttle into town) were brilliant. A couple of negatives: 1. We were awake at 5:00am every morning due to our proximity to the road. It may be worth the hotel looking at double glazing for the rooms at the front of the hotel. 2. There was NEVER any hot water in the shower :(

The beach was pleasant. this hotel is rated 4 stars but in our opinion it was more like 2 stars. toilet and shower were together in enclosed area, if you showered, toilet was surrounded by pool of water, especially cause drain was dirty and slow. toilet did not flush properly and maintenance had to be called twice. room had a terrible odor of mildew or sewage or both. a/c inadequate for room size and weather conditions. sheets and blanket were too small for the bed.

The staff were friendly and it was a good distance from the city centre. The food was delicious at the hotel restaurant. It was clean and the rooms were beautiful. I found some of the staff untrustworthy. I felt I needed to put everything I owned in a safe. I had a pendant taken from my bags while staying at the hotel.

Excellent meet and greet by reception. Staff are friendly, location is good between town and beach, free shuttle service at various times during the day. Even though rained very heavily for several days staff always prepared to hand out umbrellas! Always hot water present infact it was scalding hot so be careful. Room was on second floor and yet was quiet. Room had musty smell even after airing with open windows and some sort of pipework was visible. Stains in toilet- unsightly and should not be present at such a price range. Bed covers were grey-white and aged. Recommendation for tailor was not value for money. Room did not look like the image on the internet-misleading and disappointing. Free internet next to reception was glacially slow to the point of pulling hair out-frustration!

The hotel staff were rude and lazy, and most of them did not speak English well, if at all, especially those working in the restaurant. At several points during our stay, we were actually lied to by the staff. In addition, the wifi access around the hotel was patchy. The shuttle service was erratic. The noise from outside the hotel was very loud in the rooms, and the housekeeping staff made lots of noise in the mornings. The pool towels were filthy and had many huge holes in them. The hotel restaurant was overpriced.

Lovely friendly staff, free use of bicycles If you cycle to their 'private' beach using the free hotel bicycles, be aware that you have to take towels from the hotel poolside with you, as none are provided for you at the beach.

Location was handy near both the beach and the city. The shuttle bus to both locations throughout the day was a real bonus. The pool was also a nice treat! Good breakfast, and nice restaurants across the street for lunch. It was a nice hotel. --No complaints

The door staff and Lily our "hostess" were very friendly and the spa facilities are good. The free shuttle to and from the beach and town are handy, although taxis are very cheap and easy. We arrived during a holiday and the hotel was very busy the first couple of days. Kids were screaming and shouting at 6am in the pool in the morning although it doesn't open until 7am. The breakfast buffet ran out of everything and was not stocked quickly enough. Overall the breakfast was dissapointing.

Well during my two weeks exploration of Vietnam staying at the Hoi An Pacific was definitely a bit of indulgence at affordable rates. I normally avoid 4 & 5 stars rated hotels, but I definitely felt at ease here. It was very relaxed with friendly ,polite and helpful staff. Breakfast was wonderful and one is spoiled for choice! Location is great too for access to beach or to the centre. Hotel provides bus shuttle and free bike use. A taste of luxury !!!!!! The only minor disappointment was the free wifi was not available in my room. The signal strength was very low, however I hasten to add that this may just be an issue for the room's location. As I got a better signal when I tested reception in the hall. Anyway there are several free computers in the lobby & comfy sofas to surf away on personal lap tops.

The pool was lovely, surrounded by trees very pleasant - I would have to say this was the #1 reason we stayed at this hotel In need of repairs, bed broken, old furniture stored on the balcony - Hoi an Pacific constantly busy - doesn't seem any of the profits are put back into maintenance. Ok but felt not value for money - certainly not 4 star

“All of the staff were lovely, so helpful. Complimentary water every day and the housekeeping staff really went out of their way to make our rooms perfect - flowers, hearts on our made up beds.Breakfast was wonderful, so much variety, eggs and omelettes cooked fresh as required. The pool was great (tiles a little slippery, just be careful), ordered lunch by the pool - yummy. Location was a big plus - walking distance to town, bikes across the road, laudry across the road too - very cheap.” Susan, Kings Langley |
