The location was good for the beach and Hoi an old town. You can borrow bikes which was very handy. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Building works going on when we visited so couldn't use the pool.
Hoi Ann town is lovely and Pacific reflects this in it's staff and athmosphere
Would have liked a gym facility although the hotel is excellently located for an outdoor jog to the beach
The pool is very nice and they take to their beach and the city centre.
The hotel rooms are old and not very clean, towels are dirty too. Some of the rooms have great views but from others you can only see rooftops and laundry so it's a matter of luck. They are renovating the hotel so I imagine that once they finish all this will have improved.
Pool and breakfast buffet are very Nice! And Nice rooms. When the construction is finnished it a verry Nice hotel
The whole building is under cronstruction. Everywhere were You come You here the construction. We arrived at the end in the evening, and the man ad the reception can not speak English very well
Short taxi ride in to hoi an Free shuttle busses It would have been an excellent hotel had the building works not have been going on
They should have told us before we arrived there was building works going on. It was very noisy and you couldn't enjoy the swimming pool.
The best part was leaving the hotel after our stay
There was a 'small' renovation which the hotelstaff didnt tell us about in advance. At check in they informed us. Work would start each day at 7 am (so no sleeping late) until 6 pm. The whole mainbuilding was renovated. Lots of noise, dust and smell of paint in the poolarea (so no swimming). The bararea was gone (so no cocktails) and for breakfast on the sixtfloor we had to take the stairs because the elevator was out of order (so a sweaty breakfast as it was 37 degrees). Breakfast was poor as well. At checkout they let us pay the full amount and they didnt listen to and cared about our complaints. If I had known there was a renovation I would have cancelled this hotel. Location isn't that great either. A 30 minutes walk to the citycentre and a 5 km drive to their privatebeach which isn't really stunning. Bicycles werent available as well allthough the hotel said the would provide them... Don't go here!!!
Location is ok.. Inbetween besch and old city. They offer shuttlebus service to both which however, conveniently for the hotel, do not run during the hours of lunch (11:00-14:00) and dinner (17:00-20:00).
Full in renovation, two weeks overdue and by the looks to continue for at least two more months, this hotel should have been closed. Facilities were limited, everything dusty and waking up is done by the sound of hammers. At 07:00. Lovely way to spend three quiet days in Hoy An. My advise, don't book until after mid September and even then, check if they finished renovation. They call in minor inconvenience, I call it first, second, fourth and goth floor being stripped bare and being redone... What a disappointment.
Our room was fabulous, bed so comfortable, great access to town, helpful staff, enjoyable manicure, terrific pool area.
Unfortunately we were there whilst construction was going on. Would love to see the completed work.
The pool is lovely. The free 5 minute foot massage was a welcome treat. The staff at breakfast was very nice and helpful with our baby.
I had high hopes for this hotel based on the pictures, but the only thing I can comfortably recommend is the pool...which closes at a very early 7 pm! Reviews describing the renovation noise are not overstated. Be prepared for ear splitting jackhammer sounds starting at 8 am. The hotel is visibly under construction and the parts that aren't are dingy and super outdated. We were in a budget room, not the villas, which might be nicer. Our room smelled strongly of mildew and the bed was uncomfortable. Our wifi didn't work and no effort was made to fix it in spite of multiple complaints. Our fridge didn't work. Thank god I only booked for two nights. We headed across the street to the Earth Villa which was lovely.
Great hotel with one incredible friendly girl at reception.
Hotel is undergoing maintance which was very noisy. We asked to be moved to a villa as we had an additional person joining us for a few nights, which seemed to be a Hugh hassle for them. Thry were asking for a lot of money for a room that was not that much bigger. A little far from the main 'old quarter'. Wifi did not work in the rooms.
Lovely pool area. Great breakfast with lots of variety
Renovations are a bit noisy but unless you want a nap in the middle of the day no problem. A few extra shuttle buses would be handy.
Clean tidy and friendly staff. Very helpful and will definitely stay here again.
Its very comfortable, the place looks really good and wifi was strong throughout the hotel (except the roof breakfast area)
renovations start at 7am. the noise was unbearable. the wifi didn't work at the roof dining area.
Everything. Very nice hotel, facilities and staff
Wi fi intermittent in room
Amazing pool! We didn’t stay in the villas but were very lucky as our room was facing the pool, so it was just as nice. You get given towels for the poolside, which you can also ask to take with you out to the beach for the day. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was great too, mix of Western and Vietnamese food, chefs making you omelettes and crepes right there in front of you. There’s also a spa, if they’re quiet, the ladies working there might come round offering you a discount on services, in a very polite and non-intrusive way. We got a foot massage which was nice. They run free shuttle buses to the beach and town centre, though we hired a motorbike (from the place opposite the hotel) for our whole time there so didn’t need the shuttle. You can easily walk into town as well, 15-20minutes probably, although be warned, after a certain time at night, maybe 10/11pm, everything shuts down so the road is quite deserted and dark. Not to say that it’s dangerous, we never once felt unsafe, but just that it’s not a great walk back at that time of the night so best to get a motorbike taxi.
Can't think of anything really. Maybe that the bar doesn’t stay open very late... though the room does have a minibar, so really not the end of the world!
free shuttle to town and beach
not airconditioning in lobby and corridors
The hotel is old and tired, and some staff freindly some rude, cranky and disinterested. Paint rained down on the bed overnight from peeling ceiling. Restuarant food was good but over priced, and the decor was from the 1980's. Pool was nice.
The hotel is old and tired, and some staff freindly some rude, cranky and disinterested. Paint rained down on the bed overnight from peeling ceiling. Air con failed overnight, but was repaired at 1am. Restuarant food was good but over priced, and the decor was from the 1980's.
The poolside villa was a dream, just what we had expected from the hotel when booking. The room was large and spacious, the bathroom was amazing too and we also had a lounge area. The view overlooking the pool was nice and there was a duel balcony. We were so pleased. We remained at the hotel for the rest of our stay and have to say that everything was great from this point forward. The food in the restaurant is excellent, and there is such a huge choice to choose from. The hotel also offers room service, laundry service at $3/4 a kilo, poolside food and drinks a free shuttle bus to town and the beach, free WI-FI a gym, spa and games room and overall a friendly service I also had a massage in their spa which was thorough and very enjoyable. Despite the initial difficulties, I would stay at the Pacific Hotel and Spa again although would only book a villa room to save disappointment. This hotel although very nice, is more of a 3 star by British standards and although very nice, you may come away feeling disappointed if you are looking for a 4/5 hotel.
Okay so this review is going to be a little bit of a mixed bag I’m afraid, but let me start from the beginning. We arrived at the Hoi An Pacific Hotels and Spa on motor bikes and were shuffled away from the front of the hotel by the staff. Agreed we looked like backpackers and a little rough and ready due to biking to from Hue, but regardless I felt a little pushed aside considering I was staying here. Once the staff realised that in fact I was a paying guest, they were however more than accommodating and helpful. First impressions, a very nice hotel, large, open and modern, the foyer and reception area certainly looked 4 star to me! We were escorted to our room, the hallway was a little grubby and the carpet needed replacing, but it wasn’t a huge deal, then we reached our reached our room. Although it was a large modern furnished superior double with a large en suite, there was no balcony, but regardless I was pretty happy, despite the fact that the air-con had not been left on, so it was baking. However on closer inspection of the room, we found quite alarmingly ‘cockroaches’ in the bathroom and near the bed. I called reception immediately and a bellboy came to remove the roaches, but after he left I then found another… so I requested to be moved. We were then told that they were fully booked and could not be moved. I complained and told them that I was packing and expected some form of alternative accommodation to be supplied. After an hour they came to collect our bags and took us to another room. Unfortunately the room supplied was awful. The décor was tired, the tv old the air-con unit leaked which had ruined the floor (clearly an ongoing fault) and a wall light as broken, not to mention that the room was a lot smaller. As you can imagine, we were not very happy at all, but my this time it was late and we were tired, so decided to tackle the room issue in the morning. The following day we went to speak to the hotel manager directly.
Loved the breakfast quality and variety- bacon, omlette, cerial, fruit, yoghurt, noodles, cold meats, salad, pasteries and pancakes. Delicious! The pool was great. I was unwell during the trip, so also enjoyed the selection of movie channels.
I love walking, but the walk into town is not great- took about 25mins and not very scenic. Take the free shuttle bus or a taxi.
location was great, taxis very cheap into town. We used the bikes most days to get to the beach, Didn't like the guy running the Sen beach restaurant, very moody. Staff in hotel were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you.
Nothing at all.
Very friendly, helpful front desk team.
We loved the pool. The room was beautiful, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a villa over looking the pool and enjoyed the ambience. The breakfast was very good and a huge variety. We liked the free bikes. I also liked the location just a short bike ride out of the hustle of the old town. This was the nicest hotel we stayed at in vietnam
Not enough lounge chairs by the pool for the number of guests. There was construction going on around the pool grounds the entire time we were there. It was a bit noisy, but I guess they need to do the work sometime. Really no big deal
The breakfasts were great
The restraunt food was terrible
The breakfasts were terrific the food at the resterant was terrible
Service and Staff was excellent
Location between beach and the town although you can take the free coach or just cycle / take a taxi
