Great attentive staff, great location.
They arrange for us a tour on a really short notice (we arrived at 2.00 am and at 7.30 we were leaving with the tour)
the hospitality of staff welcoming us.
The bed is too small. Price is fair only.
Very helpfull staff who spoke perfect English. The room was spacious, clean especially the bedding. The overall design of the hotel is quite old and can use some updating. I would espcially like to thank Mr Van Phu, the kind hearted concierge who was went out of his way to help me carrying my luggage.
The breakfast assortiment could do with some change in offering and presentation.
Room was a bit smelly. Staff entered our room twice without permission, second time was 8am in morning and we were still in bed! breakfast was poor, not refilled and bad service
Check in was fast and we got upgraded to executive room which had a jacuzzi big and spacious great view friendly staff and good location for touring around i would differently use this hotel again
Breakfast they don't cater for westerns breakfast items need more attention throughout its course
They upgraded me and I had view on the river. Jacuzzi in bathroom. Satellite tv
Restaurant just average
The location to the attractions and landmarks of HCMC is excellent.
Fact that executive room booked was not available until 7 hours after the 2pm check-in time. We were offered a standard room until the executive room was ready, but we did not get into the executive room that we paid the higher price for until 10pm. It was a little disappointing. The staff were polite and pleasant about it but didn't seem to really care about our disappointment.
I was staying there for the second time - just the very best feeling - like at home, even at a very short notice they pick you up, inform in advance, upgrade the room with a discount
The hotel is very clean and has a nice décor. The breakfast is very good, for the price paid. Very close to the main cultural attractions (less close to the Pan gu lao area, where restaurant and bars stay open until late). Next door you have a renown club (Apocalypse now), in case you are fun of the genre.
No window in the standard room I understand is common in Hochimin that basic rooms do not have windows, but it was not clear from the booking. I tried to get an upgrade but they refused (even if I explain I have asthma, so window is rather important for me). I do not think they understood I wanted to pay for that.
Location near to the river, easy access to eateries and shopping places within city center.
Hotel couldn't find my reservation. I showed them the confirmation but they still claim no such reservation. However, they still search. Finally they found, and the guy apologised. Then this guy says " sorry for the delay, because of the misunderstand , we would like to offer an upgrade to your room, at extra $20". Not sure if it's a scam, but shouldn't they offer a free upgrade if it's their mistake having made us waited for half an hour ? Other travelers perhaps can take note.
I liked the place a lot. So I stayed there twice.
Very friendly staff. Especially one of the bellboys. The suite is beautiful with view on Saigon river.
Some rooms do not have a window
avoid this place: it is impossible to sleep when the disco is opened.
Everything about La Jolie Hotel & Spa was a wonderful & pleasant surprise to me and my wife. Most of all was the great service-oriented attitude of its staff - at least in those areas that we were able to use during our brief 7-day stay. First on our list of staff to thank is Kim Ngan who was the first staff we interacted with at check in. She was very helpful and genuinely sincere in trying to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. We would also mention Thuey Len also at reception as well as doorman Khai Sam and restaurant staff Daniel. I and my wife were agreed that they truly made our stay very pleasant and worth repeating. Based on our observation, we could see that the other staff also had the same service-oriented attitude. However, in fairness, we can only mention those we directly dealt with. After the staff, we were also very satisfied with the quality of the room (we had one with a magnificent view of Saigon River) as well as the room amenities. We will definitely recommend La Jolie to friends going to Vietnam. And we ourselves have already decided to again visit Vietnam sometime soon and again stay at La Jolie. Much thanks and congratulations to La Jolie and its wonderful staff staff!
There is practically no strong negative that we can mention. If ever, one small dissatisfier was the insufficient light at the bathroom mirror, making it a bit irritating when one has to dress up early in the morning as I had to in order for me to be on time for my morning meetings. Another minor disappointment was that we requested for another bedside table as there was only one in our room (707). It never came and no explanation was give to us. Lastly, on one day, the shower drain did not work thus causing a small flood when we took our shower. However, we reported the problem and it was quickly fixed. While it would be good for La Jolie to avoid these irritants, in fairness, these were not major to us and they did not, in any way, diminish our overall wonderful experience in Ho Chi Min City and at La Jolie.
Nice location, good price, simple breakfast
Noisy room with thin walls
The breakfast is first right, the staff are very friendly and helpfull, location is very good, walking distance to most main attractions. thank you Darintje from Melbourne Australia
Breakfast is fine and staffs are nice.
Quite noisy, hard to sleep.
Everything about this hotel was great, including the great location. The staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with comfortable beds and large bathroom. The breakfast was fine and the spa was fantastic value.
Good choice at breakfast, with a mix of Asian and Western food available; kind and helpful staff; the shower was huge!
The room was equipped with two windows; one was looking at a hotel corridor which permitted noises from other guests to leak inside my room.
staff were excellent, good location
it was all good
Hotel is within walking distance of the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Mosque. It is next door to the Apocalypse Now bar, which is too seedy for us, to go into.
We got into a wrong taxi at the train station to go to the hotel, and paid a real big sum, about 8 times the normal rate. Pick taxi drivers who wear ties.
