Staff very helpful, very good location, breakfast was good, chef cooking eggs fresh. We booked a delux double room and on arrival were upgraded to a suite. Great view over park, Good balcony views, street a little noisy during the day but no problem at night with street noise. Very central location, close to resturants and tourist locations. Breakfast served on the 9th floor we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Would recommend as value for money.

Location of hotel is in District 1, so it's near the city main attractions like the Ben Thanh market, War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, Saigon River, Water Puppet Show etc These landmarks are within walking distance of 20 to 30minutes if rapid walking is not a problem. Taking a metered cab will cost only a few dollars. There are plenty of retail shops, laundry services, tailors, tour operators, massage outlets, pubs & restaurants around the area - really liked the convenience. You save a bundle on transport staying at this location. There's WiFi available at every level, the signal strength varies though, it was patchy in my room which was in a corner. Rooms are a good size & clean. Rooms were always tidied up and towels were changed everyday by the time we get back in the afternoons. The counter staff speak reasonably good English. Ask for the area map (black & white photocopy) and have the staff mark your hotel location on the map. Better still, learn the Vienamese pronunciation of the hotel name & street - enountered a few cab drivers who can't understand a word of English or read maps. Liberty 4 is right on a busy street. The round the clock non-stop traffic flow is noisy, all the automobiles sound their horn incessantly - so it's better to stay on the higher floors if you must have a good night's sleep. It's also facing a park - many locals come here to exercise in the morning and there's this bunch of aerobics enthusiasts were like blasting their dance music before 6am! But I love the energy and liveliness of this city. The 2 elevators in the hotel are really small - each can fit 4 skinny adults or 2 big persons standing in opposite corners. They were also slow in getting to you. We stayed on the 5th level, and we used the stairs most of the time. Encountered a few elderly hotel residents who were swearing at the elevators on separate occasions.

Location excellent for bars and restaurants and main sights. While the room was very comfortable and away from the noise of the street below, the reception staff were surly and off-putting. I asked for an iron and was told hotel policy prevented them from sending one to my room. I asked for a solution and they said I had to put items through hotel laundry for which there was a charge. I refused so they said I could use the housekeeping room at midnight on Saturday when and this was the only time available. Ridiculous. I was also charged $15 for my colleague to stay in my room who was unable to get home. Rip-off. I was also hassled to have a massage when I went to the sauna. The female attendant sat in the changing room while I got changed touting her service incessantly. Not nice.

hotel is in center of town. we booked a executive de luxe room, and we get this room on the 8th floor, rooms and balcony are good, but the noise of the restaurant on 9th floor is terrible you wake up allways at 5.30am, so never book room 801/802/803 if you like good sleep, we complain and get other room because staf know about that problem. Other point is: breakfast ends at 9.30 am that is to early.

The location was ideal as it is close to all the "happening" places. Even though we have pre-booked earlier, they did not actually provided us the room we requested. I guess there is not much we could do about the noise and the lift which is old, slow and do not stop at the right places.

Good location for sightseeing and shopping, Within walking distance of many nice restaurants and markets. Good price and value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff. Exceptionally clean and high quality room service. No complaints but would like to point out: Luckily we love asian food. The breakfast was fine but rather limited if you are looking for the traditional English breakfast. In spite of that we never went hungry and the food was fresh, clean and plentiful.

Comfortable budget hotel The hotel bar would be more suited to a sex tourist. The young scantily clad bar girls hassling you to buy them and their friend a drink made the experience unpleasant. One of the bar girls tried to touch me in appropriately and became offended when I declined thier advances..

They have excellent staffs. Location is good for backpackers and budget travelers. They need to keep the passports overnight to make copies, but they did not mention it until you ask. Elevator is small and slow. When they make up my room, they forgot to give toilet papers.

Location very good. Close to pubs, restaurants, and tour companies. Big park across the street for those keen to exercise and participate in zumba. Balconies are quite narrow - felt a bit unsafe first few times on balcony. But soon enough got over that feeling.

The best 3 star hotel I had during my 3 weeks travel in Vietnam!! I took a nice big room with balcony. Everything was okay, like airco, tv, bathroom, safe, coffee/tea, minibar and the breakfast - even the coffee! - was realy good! The staff is professional and helpfull. The hotel is perfect situated in the backpack area, so there are a lot of nice bars and restaurants - cheap and more upmarked - near the hotel. The market and the more fancy restaurants and clubs (near the riverside) are at walking distance. I liked this hotel very much and I recommend this place for your stay in HCMC! First hotel in Vietnam I don't have any complaints about.

“The hotel is quite near to the attraction, need to walk 15 minutes and restaurant around is more on high range. My children like the small swimming pool on the roof top of the hotel. The staff of the hotel are very kind and they even bring me to small stall across the street to buy prepaid phone card for me. It is very good because I can't speak their language.” Yong, Kuala Lumpur |
