Wifi was poor , closed window, no fresh air in rooms (ventilation
Curt , sour woman at reception
Lovely hotel with an old world feel half into the current 5 star climate. Really nice staff and reminded me of the old Raffles in Singapore in its hey day. Has a lot of character that the new 5 stars don't . Would stay there again in a minute. And the two roof top restaurants and bars overlooking the river were great.
Charming hotel in an excellent location in District 1 with very friendly staff. Evening cocktails in the 5th floor bar overlooking the river were one of the highlights.
Staff were excellent
Location good- get a river view though. Easy to walk to good places in district 1. Breakfast very good. Beds were v comfortable. Liked the since of history.
We both agreed that, after travelling via many different places of varying budgets, that the service here didn't come up the usual warm and smiley service that Vietnam is famous for. The attitude is aloof and indifferent mostly- apart from wonderful Fleur who showed us to our room. We could go from entrance all the way to a our room without a hello from anyone. Our room was a bit musty. The hotel obviously had a makeover some years ago but it wasn't quite in keeping with the building's heritage.
excellent location, attentive staff, outstanding service, brief, a great place. Wish, I had booked for a longer stay.
that I had to leave.
We were on honeymoon and they upgraded us to a beautiful suite. Nice rooftop bar, good location.
All was good
I liked the sense of history and the warm friendliness of the staff.
I was a bit disappointed because it was not possible to open my window for fresh air.
The location is excellent, and the hotel is still quiet and comfortable.
The general decor and fittings are old and getting very worn. The carpets are visibly threadbare, and the towels are thin and bare. Does not compare to other hotels stayed at recently in KL, Jakarta or Hong Kong.
The building: historic and beautiful Location View Room comfort & size Cleanliness Staff helpfulness
Noisy (well, despite double glaze & two windows. It's inevitable for that great location, with Saygon traffic) Wifi in rooms were not stable in service.
A contender for the best hotel in Saigon. Comfy beds, good food generally, with the exception of some midnight room service, nice decor.
Not too much to complain about really. Mini bar will set you back £4 for a small can of beer, but it is a 5* hotel so what do you expect.
Very close to all the sights and only short ride from airport
A little pricey for what you get
Room decor, shower, breakfast and its service, reception, central location and access to old town. Tour guide adapted itinerary to suit our needs.
Road noise could be reduced more with better double glazing on windows. More premium quality tea bags and milk for Australian and European clients available in room. Air conditioning was not operating to maximum efficiency on the sunny side of the building. Top sheet on bed under the doona. Tour service did not quote to include service cost and VAT. Tour guide included a lacquer factory that we were not previously advised about. Its prices were outrageous.
The location gave a great view of the Saigon River by day and night. The Majestic is within walking distance of most of the interesting places within Saigon. Food and service were second to none. It was a great place to end our holiday in Vietnam. Thank you!!!
there was really nothing that we could complain about as we enjoyed our time in the Hotel Majestic.
Great staff making you feel very welcome in a bit of old world grandeur.
Wifi was not very reliable
The hotel is in good location with old style building, which brings us to the old days of this city. We are also impressed by the breakfast, I mean both the food and the view.
Our suite is next to the main road and therefore is a bit noisy.
Great bar on the rooftop!
Our suite had no windows in the lounge area so was dark and depressing. Very disappointing.
Very serviceminded staff. The breakfast was splendid.
everything was fantastic from the staff to the food
check your bill on departure as i didnt check it properly and was charged for two lots of room service that we didnt order over $100 overcharged but i should of checked properly
The hotel has been beautifully restored !! Rooms very clean and spacious ! We asked to be moved due to a noise factor the first night , due to work on the new metro system !! think we were in the only room that faced that way !! Rm 441 But we're moved straight away to a much more central room! Buffet breakfast great , catering to a vastly different clientele !! Great almond Crossoints ! Really nice bar overlooking river on 8 th floor but check out ur happy hour bill !!!great view ! Staff fantastic and extremely helpfull !!
Not sure about happy hour prices ! '
Colonial feel to the place was nice and the pool was welcome to escape the heat. The in-house spa was okay too.
Food not the best - much better restaurants not far away.
- Wifi signal was bad I moved to the bathroom to get signal in my PC, - Room is not good isolated, it can get easy noise from the street, and make you wake up every 10 minutes, I do not recommend rooms with balcony street view.
Great location on the river and overlooking fascinating Saigon traffic (hours of viewing pleasure!); fantastic rooftop bar an absolute must at sunset; staff super friendly and helpful, arranged a great private tour to Cu Chi tunnels for us; Cyclo Restaurant was superb and very reasonably priced fine dining; beautifully renovated historic hotel...highly recommended
