Staff very helpful

So welcoming and fabulous French interior design. Delicious breakfast. Clean, very comfortable and quiet, staff couldn't have been more helpful and nice.

20 mins from centre of town, but there is a bus or they will call a cab which costs only £3!

I liked that a single budget room was an option as I was travelling alone. My room was perfectly comfortable and clean, and not too small. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were marvellous. I loved catching the bus downtown and back each day. The generous offer of tea, coffee and juice at any time was most welcome. Fabulous coffee!

The location, which is about a 10-minute ride from the city center, which is perfect because as it is tucked away from the busy, motorbike- swamped main road it feels like an oasis from Ho Chi Minh's frenetic atmosphere. I felt very much at home because the area around it reminded me of my grandmother's old neighborhood in the Philippines...in the 70s! Very relaxed and safe, with neighbors who take time to smile when they see you walking around. The ride over from the city offers an interesting, colorful view of Saigon culture- the rows upon rows of shops and thriving sidewalk commerce, restaurants and food stalls, the occasional school and church. Ma Maison itself felt very much like home, with lovely, high-ceiling rooms and impeccably clean floors (hand-wiped daily!), a pretty dining area and a little shaded garden where you can enjoy your breakfast under breezy, blue skies. It's best feature, though, are the people who run it. The staff at Ma Maison offer the best customer service that I think surpasses that of any 5-star hotel. You can really tell it's a family operation because they make you feel like family. Each greeting and gesture is offered with such personal care and genuine thoughtfulness that even my children (6 and 17) watched their manners around the staff like they would around relatives. I truly miss our new friends at Ma Maison!

Going home! My 6-year old daughter was so sad to leave she cried a little bit on our way to the airport. And when she picked out a teddy bear at the souvenir shop she named it "Hha Long" after the hotel owner and his niece who had personally taken care of us during our stay.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Obtained great information about local dinner spots and how to get around the city and area. Breakfast was large and delicious. Every need was catered for. Rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable.

Amazing little hotel a taxi ride or a bus ride away from the the craziness of Saigon. Nice to see how the locals live. The hotel staff are the kindest, most helpful and efficient people you can meet. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Saigon!

Ma Maison is a little oasis in the chaos of Ho Chi Minh. Staying here, you can glimpse what it is really like to live in the lanes and alleys of the city - but from the comfort of this beautiful little hotel. The owners and their staff are truly wonderful.

Personally, nothing. But if you want to be in the city centre this may not be for you. You will need to get taxis.

We chose stay at Ma Maison for the last night of our holiday because it was nearer to the airport and the traffic in Saigon can be horrendous. We thought the proprietors were very helpful and friendly. They arranged taxis for us which was essential as the hotel is a little way from the main road , down an alleyway. Our room was delightful and the ensuite was good with lots of hot water. The hotel does not have a lift which could be a draw back for some people. Make it clear when you book if you want a first floor room. We went back into the centre of Saigon to eat which meant a 20-30 minute taxi ride because of traffic. We did not mind as we saw another side of city life. We had a very easy trip the following day to the airport.

A little distance from the city and airport.

This bodhi style hotel is actually a fancy private house located in quiet local residential area. The housekeeper and staff are really quite impolite, warm, and kind hearted. Environment of lobby (living room and kitchen) and rooms are extraordinarily elegant and fresh. The staff will give you a glass of fresh juice and fruit on the delicate plate when you arrive the house. The room is also the best, everything there is arranged tidy, clean and sweet, even a needle in the bathroom. I just lay on the clean floor and feel like doing yoga. If describe the lovely hotel with one word, it should be peaceful.

The hotel was beautifully decorated and they gave my wife and I a free upgrade as it was our honeymoon. The staff were very attentive and friendly as well.

It truly is a home away from home! Fantastic staff and so much attention to detail! Just brilliant!

Natasha Long is the friendliest person in vietnam! We were a little bit suspect because the hotel is at the end of a narrow alleyway, but as soon as we arrived the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It really felt like we were visiting family and we belonged in this hotel, that's the best thing I can say about it really. Everything else in the hotel was at least a 4 star standard. The location is the only downside, but take my advice, if you visit ho chi minh you should definitely stay at this hotel, you won't regret it.

Only the location. Not the fact it's at the end of a dodgy alleyway, you get over that part pretty quick. It's just a 15min taxi to district 1 which is the tourist hub. the price of the taxi is only 100,000 DONG or $5 which is nothing, but it can take a while, especially in rush hour which in ho chi minh is INSANE! still, don't let this turn you off. the location isn't far enough away to diminish your enjoyment of the city or of the hotel itself.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is a lovely French inspired building with well appointed rooms and ensuites.

The location for us was not ideal. We felt we spent too much time in taxis in the crazy Ho chi traffic to go in and out of the city to tours, restaurants etc.a 30min trip each time.

Beautiful rooms, beautiful breakfast and they can not do enough for you. Natasha is very kind and will give you all the advice you need. I highly recommend this place. It's only a bus ride into the main city of $4000 VD and you will be glad of the peace. You can also catch a taxi for 80,000 VD. They will arrange this for you and tell you which taxi companies to use.

It is family run. It is Personel service.They are all so welcoming. It is an absolute Gem to stay at and would definitely stay again and will be recommending others to.So Clean and french beautiful rooms and bathrooms and sheets and divine breakfast.

A lot further out from city centre but taxi easy to get.
