Meracus Hotel    

The staff of the hotel is really on the highest level and they deserve congratulations. Very nice rooms, the shower/jacuzzi was by far the best one we had out of 8 hotels we tried in the region.

The staff were lovely and friendly. Place was clean, fresh and new.

Room REALLY SMALL... No view. Noise from Hallway traffic, people walking, opening doors etc could be heard right through the walls. Not good sleeping.

Staff treated us as valuable guests. we felt valued and felt like we were VIPs. The rooms were clean and comfortable (mattress problem sorted immediately)

First night had a stained mattress. But the staff addressed that immediately.

The staff was more than friendly. We returned there second time after travel at south Vietnam and they treated us like a members of the family. Rooms are very clean, with roses everywhere - so nice! Every day fresh fruits, very good breakfast, though we missed most of them due to travel, they offer take away breakfast options. Located very close to the lake and old city surrounded.

2 sides of the hotel lead to 2 options of room - one with windows on the street - nice but bit noisy, the other with windows to the next building (equal to have no window) - though very quite, we lived in both rooms and were satisfied as almost never had time to sit near the window and watch - better go out and be the part of this life:-)

The staff was amazing, thoughtful and extraordinarily helpful. The free breakfast each morning was incredible. The rooms were beyond clean and comfortable. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Very service-oriented. Staff was very helpful, willing to book tours for anything (the hotel does receive a commission for doing this). Very clean. Had a complimentary computer and wifi in every room. Great location. Also had complimentary fruits and water upon arrival. Great spread for breakfast, though coming from America, I would consider much of it more typical lunch options. Has made-to-order eggs, something resembling grits, fresh fruit and juice daily. Also has salads, breads, and other changing options including chicken croquettes and banana pancakes.

Street noise was loud (had a loud speaker going outside from 7am on), beds were not entirely comfortable. Breakfast did not have a lot of western options (both good and bad).

There was nothing I could fault the Meracus Hotel with. Every one of the staff greeted us with a smile and could not have been more helpful in any and every way possible. I have never ever felt so welcomed. Facilities were wonderful, situation could not have been better. Our bedroom was situated so that it was extremely quiet even though we were in District 1. The Grand Hotel in HCMC could take some pointers from the staff of this hotel. I would definitely return if ever I go back to Hanoi and would recommend anyone to stay here. Well done to both day and night Managers.

Excellent hotel. We arrived at 5am and were immedately welcomed with coffee, juice and croissants. We were also given access to a shower. The made a special effort, and our room was ready by 8.30am. Wonderful service.

Everything.. The staff were brilliant, especially helpful with translation with a relative. Room was fantastic, we had junior suite complete with balcony. More expensive than some hotels but definitely worth it. Great location on shoe street in the old quarter.

The location was sensational, the staff bent over backwards to help us, the rooms were comfortable and well appointed and the choice for breakfast was extensive. An absolutely brilliant hotel.

Street in front noisy as everyone on a vehicle seems to use their horn incessantly in Hanoi. This is not the fault of the hotel however. They even offer earplugs if requested!
