We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Mikes hotel. Room good sized and clean room with a great view over the City and Old Quarter.Breakfasts are phenomenal - quality and quantity. Service is generally friendly. I feel that we got good value and it was a great break in the sun away from the Hanoi to Halong Bay , snorkelling and boat trip was all good fun. Shopping is very good around here

Mikes hotel which combined tranquillity with the proximity to the heart of the city, we have a wonderful time in Hanoi .The staff was fantastic, The room was very clean and had everything we needed. When we go back to Hanoi we will certainly be staying here again .Finally the location is perfect!

It is centralised in the Old Quarters

The reception is too persistant to sell us tours to Ha Long Bay and other places but be alert with their promises. Secondly, after buying from them the tours, they will totally ignored you the next day and treat you with a 'cold' shoulder. Its the same experience in all hotel in Old Quarters. I do not blame them but the Vietnamese needs to change their attitude towards people.

I Stayed a few times and cannot find another hotel in nicer which offers such good value for money and a warm welcome. The rooms are clean and the courtyard a nice area to winddow. The owners are very friendly and full of helpful advice.

-The staff was very friendly even though their English was not so good - Location was very good also - Both the room and bathroom were spacious and clean

- They moved us from one hotel to another, which wasn't so nice, but the quality of both hotels is the same, and of course they payed and arrange the transfer - The breakfast was poor
