The staff here are so friendly and helpful. They gave me tour information, lots of information on Saigon and they even posted my postcards! Lovely quiet location, just minutes walk from the backpacker area.
It was fairly clean and felt very safe. One member of staff was particularly helpful. It is worth climbing up to the 4th or 5th floor to see the balcony - a nice view.
Our window just lead out to the corridor which was unfortunate. We also had a small ant problem but a few squirts of bug spray got rid of them (probably just temporarily). It was a bit tricky to find initially. Laundry was over charged - make sure they weigh it in front of you! We were on the 4th floor and there was no lift.
Clean room, clean bed, good wifi.
Some of the staff don't really speak english. And the location might be a little bit remote but still near to the ben thanh market about 15-20 mins walk.
Location was very good, shower had hot water, nice and very helpful staff. Room was clean and nice
The staff were friendly, the room was ok size and the bed was comfy and soft - hard to find in Vietnam. Location is good, close to 'backpacker area' with lots of cheap restaurants etc, and maximum of an hour walk to most sights. Hotel is on a small side street so relatively quiet at night which is good. Wifi worked well, room was quiet and comfy enough for our needs.
Shower is basically over the toilet so everything in the bathroom gets soaked when you shower. Not a huge issue for me but I can see that it would annoy some people. We paid £8 a night for just the room, no breakfast. In other hotels in Vietnam we've paid £6 including a small breakfast. Given the standard of the hotel decor/cleanliness and the bathroom facilities, I think it's a bit overpriced. But nothing was horribly wrong and we had a comfy enough stay.
great location friendly staff room cleaned everyday quiet
hotel not so clean overall bed was a bit uncomfortable due to springs weird decor, half-naked asian lady painting?!
They allowed us early checkin at 2.00 AM.
When we entered our room, the big cockroach invited us. We killed it and throw to the hallway. It was still there in the morning while next room was cleaned and the cleaner had to see it. We wanted non-smoking room and we got room that stank after cigarettes with ashtray on the table. The bathroom was not very clean.
no much but the stuff was helpful
rooms, facilities and location
Staff, closeness to lively streets, good shower and bed
The hotel room was clean and pleasant, the location is just a short way from the centre. The staff was also nice and helpful.
Not too far from the main drag
Staff weren't the most helpful Room very stuffy and hot
Staff was very helpful. Big rooms. Fast wifi. Good location.
Was comfy and clean but a 10-20 min walk from the more central area of town. Some staff were great, others not so good. Okay for the price but you could probably find better. The wifi cut out all the time.
The stuff is friendly and helpful
The sheets were not changed when I arrived and during my stay.
Great hotel, very clean. Staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help.
not in the tourist area in District 1 many small and chepa restaurants near very friendly staff and owner you can store your baggage for free if you want to stay somewhere else over night!
I had some problems with the wifi in my room.
Can't really complain due to the low price. Room was clean and good a/c.
Ants on the ground.
Near dist. 1 and backpackers area. Cheap price.
Personal can try to sell some services and drinks by overstated price. Conditioner in one room don't work as well. (just blowing air from outdoor)
They never clean under the bed ifound insects, not good shower, I asked a information to Night porter about a famous Club he sent me in the opposite side of the city when i comeback to the hotel he laughed at me and say only mistake NO sorry
Nice staff Great location Comfy soft bed
Close enough to Pham Ngu Loa, but far enough to avoid the madness. The staff speak basic English and they are very helpful and sincere.
No elevator, so beware of booking the top floor for the view! Quite run down and haphazard, but the rooms themselves are very clean and comfortable. Not exactly luxury but I enjoyed my stay!
Member of staff at reception was friendly and helpful, and carried my bag up the four floors (no lift). The room was also dark at night, unlike many places I've stayed with transparent curtains. The bathroom was a good size and shower not directly over toilet unlike other places I've been. I liked the location - note that it's down a small alley but felt very safe.
The hotel and room in particular were dirty. Ants (small ones which I don't think bite) were all over the bed and I found a cigarette end and a lot of dust when I was closing the blind. The bathroom also wasn't that clean. No lift though that's quite normal. Construction work outside from early though not much the hotel can do about that. I'd have left if I was staying longer, you can get clean places for this price!
Good value for money. Spacious room and location is quite good.
Staff didnt speak much english. Our room was on 5th floor and there is no elevator
it was a little bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the backpacker region, which we liked... it was only about 15 minute walk - although if you're going off googlemaps like I was, their maps are wrong (road it was off was named wrong) room was decent, could do with a little TLC, but for the price, we wern't complaining...
no elevator... not the worst thing in the world, but when you've carried our heavy bags up as many flights of stairs as we did throughout vietnam, it was getting a little old by the time we reach HCMC.... holes in the bathroom ceiling were prone to drip on you...
the staff was very nice and helpful always. nice rooms with ac
some works starting early morning, I think only that week
