Hanoi Phoenix Hotel  

We are absolutely satisfied with the hotel and especially the staff. We would like to say thanks to the receptionist who was so kind to us to go to hospital when i was not feeling well. Especially when you travel way from home. It is nice to have someone looked after you in this kind of situations. The rooms are cleaned everyday by such sweet girls and the other employee greeted me with a smile when we walked down the stair in the morning. This hotel deserves and extra star behind the name !!!.

The Hanoi Phoenix is a simple, clean and comfortable hotel. It is well located within the old town and a nice walk to the Lake,only 30VND to Mausolem area.Breakfastis okay with a choice of eggs and a large bread roll.Staff are very helpful and pleasant. . There are no windows facing out of the building but with the traffic on Hanoi streets this is a good thing.Computer in room.This is good budget hotel for what you pay it is excellent value.

No safe in room.

We stayed 3 nights at the Phoenix Hotel and just loved it. Small hotel in a great location. The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. They organised some trips for us to go to Halong Bay and Sapa and all were fantastic. Breakfasts were great with a wonderful range - breads, eggs, hams, tea ,coffee and great treats ,plus stay hot even in the winter.

Was surprised by reviews being so positive about this hotel. Room description was not consistent - no safe despoit box in room, no hairdryer in room, no DVD player in room - we were told it would cost extra to hire the DVD player even though it said it was included in the $34 rate. No views as suggested. Bathroom condition poor, mouldly shower curtain, not clean, ceiling recently resheeted with new plaster board but was raw/unfinshed with big gaps, one full wall near bed mouldy & chipped, we went sight seeing for the day & came back to find the room was painted when we were out?? it was 11deg outside so had to try & sleep in the room with the windows closed. Staff had terrible coughs and sick. We found a better hotel at same rate & left

Le patron est un peu roublard, il a essaye de faire passer un lit d appoint [un matelat a meme le sol] pour une chambre reservee et au prix d une chambre pour trois

La soupe poulet et le café du petit déjeuner sont excellents. Un PC dans la chambre. Le personnel est serviable, il règne une ambiance plutôt agréable dans l'hôtel.

Il faut demander à voir plusieures chambres car pour 6 nuits il faut un minimum de confort, or la plupart des chambres sont assez spartiates. Comme tous les Hanoiens ou presque, le personnel est un peu avide. C'est l'ère du temps. C'est triste mais il faut l'accepter et faire attention au moindre millier de dongs!

Velmi dobrá poloha hotelu, všude na památky se dalo dojít pěšky. Personál byl ochotný, příjemný a milý.
