Good location- walking distance to Old Quarter, Hoa Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, etc. Nice friendly staff. Room was small but very clean and comfortable, not as noisy as the Old Quarter area. Good selection of TV channels No kettle/ drinking water in the room (once requested for hot water and was told staff would send up to room but never came). Otherwise quite satistfied. |

Being close to the old centre of Hanoi but for ones comfort it ought to be closer The offered pickup service at the airport poorly performed. At first no one showed and on reminder someone showed up and put us in a cab. Unfortunately the driver had not the faintest idea where to go neither was instructed so, it took over 2 hours, very unpleasant. A tour to Halong Bay had to be cancelled due to the weather (not the hotels' fault of course) but the recommended alternative was a very poor one, too expensive and poorly guided. The airport drop-off arranged by the hotel at US$ 10,- (to be paid to the driver) was no US$ 10 but Dong 20,000 (we bargained off at Dong 17,500). Over all the hotel/tourstaff does not perform as required on these items. |
