We were advised that this hotel was great - not the flashest - but clean and friendly. Our advice was underestimated. The rooms were spotless and the service was fantastic, from breakfast ( limited menu) through to tour help and bookings. We travelled for 5 weeks throughout Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia and the service at Queen Star was second to none. Located in the old quarter also gave great atmosphere. |

This is an excellent hotel. One of the best we had in South East Asia. The owners and staff where very friendly, helpfull and interested. We booked our trips to Halong and Sapa in here (nice price) and they were really good. Breakfast was free (also the first day we came). Very good location in center of old town. Felt like being home! |

I stayed here in late July 2009. The manager Mr. Anthony helped us not only with the hotel reservations but also helped us book our domestic flights and the Halong Bay cruise. The fresh fruit baskets, breakfast and the computer in the room with the internet connectivity was also nice to have. The hotel is located in the old quarter very near to the lake. Highly recommended ! |

Stayed at Queen Star Hotel in April 2009 with two girlfriends on a shopping holiday. Location of the hotel was fantastic. About 50 meters up shopping centre. The staff was outstanding, the rooms spacious, and the location excellent. Overall service at hotel was great, concierge etc. We were very happy with our stay. Would say this is a good 3 star hotel. Would be perfect for traveling. |

We have just returned from a trip in Hanoi staying in the Queen Star Hotel for 3 nights. We are very satisfied with the hotel. This hotel is conveniently located just next to shopping central. Its excellent location allows you to travel easily to many of the tourist sites without any problem. There are many shops and food stores next door. The rooms are clean and comfortable. |

The service at here was good and breakfast serving both Western and Vietnamese food was excellent. The location of the hotel is wonderful, and it was just a short walk to the main shopping area and to the food street selling all kinds of food and snacks. We felt that the service from the staff was good. |

This was a wonderful small hotel, friendly and helpful staff who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in a hotel where all the staff we talked to really loved their job and it shows in all sorts of ways. It was good value for money. Thank you all so much for helping us to remember why we all exist in this world and that it is important to share what we have with others. |

The staff were very helpful, the rooms were large and clean, and the location is great (mere seconds away from the Hoan Kiem lake).I contacted the hotel by email myself and the young manager always answered my queries immediately, this responsiveness was indicative of the thorough and professional way.Our room was spacious and clean with a charming old world feel to it. |

Staff were very nice, helpful, accommodating - the best part of the experience. Great location in old city. Good pho breakfast. It is not a new hotel as described on the site, rather an old hotel renamed. This is basic no frills spartan budget acom. I'd give it 1 star. No shower curtain. It's an older property, dated, a bit slack on maintenance & little things may not work or be perfectly clean. |

The location of the Hotel was very good, just a few hundred meters from the exit of the underground mall attached to the main Street and shopping centre. Plenty of places to eat nearby or in the mall. Room for 2 persons, with double bed was very small with just enough room to spread open cases. Overall hotel was great place is located on heart of Hanoi Quarter. |

Located in the heart of the old quarter, this hotel is fantastic. Within easy access of the main tourist sites - 5 minutes walking from the lake.We arranged for the hotel to collect us from the airport and we stayed two nights. On the third day the hotel arranged for us to go to Halong Bay followed on our return to Hanoi .The staff are extremely helpful the hotel and their staff are an absolute. |

I found this a great hotel with very friendly staff and at a great price too! Upon arrival I was greated by a friendly doorman who immediately took and brought my luggage upstairs. The staff were extremely friendly and when the lady at the desk asked me for my flight times for departure she offered to give me a late check out of 3:00pm for no extra charge (usually half the room rate). |

We had arranged for the hotel to pick us up at the airport and the desk staff greeted us warmly when we arrived at Queen Star Hotel around midnight..The rooms very nice and clean with internet in our room which were also surprisingly quite considering the grate location in the old quarter. The rooms are very nice and spacious with TV, A/C, bottles of water provided, WiFi connection are included... |

I like my stay in your hotel. The beds and pillows were very good for sleeping at night. No or less too noise to hear from outside although the hotel lie on busy street,Mall in Hanoi is the place where we ate everyday cause that's the nearest mall from the hotel.Location is not ideal, as it is some distance from shopping, ATM, evening entertainment. The food served for b'fast and Room service is not too great. |

I have stay for 2 nights only, really hope I could have stay longer. It was a great hotel for a budget in that area. These is also a very huge wholesale market next to the hotel, many many cheaps bargains there, ideal shopping place for budget travelers. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends if they are going to Hanoi. |
