Rex Hotel  

The hotel was in an ideal location for touring around Ho Chi Minh Staff were very accommodati\ing and the spoke English. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of items to choose from very clean. The rooftop had a very nice bar with enterntainment nitely. Beautiul and well equiped fitness room with pool and sauna. I would definately recommend this hotel and stay here again

piped in music that I could hear in the courtyard from our room seemed to wake me up everyday. I would probably stay in the renovated side of the hotel for a few more dollars. The bathroom lighting was not very good. The air conditioning was extremely loud

Efficient and friendly staff

The room (457) was directly under the gym and both mornings we were woken by the sound of weights being dropped on the floor above our head, making the room vibrate. Very disappointing. The room should not be used until additional matting is placed there.

The staf were exceptionally helpful and very pleasant. Service was really good. The in house facilities such as the gym was excellent.

No bad news.

That it was a terrace especially fornew year. But nobody told us thatwe have to book an arrangement at the hotel, so when we came back from dinner with friends in town we wanted to have a drink at the roof top bar but we could not get in. Very bad service not to inform that in our room so that we could go another place. We missed New year because of your arrangement......not good.

New year arrangment

The location is perfect, in the very center of the city. The view from the restaurant on the roof is outstanding. Nice casino!

1. The food in the restaurant is far from perfect, especially for the asked price. It was funny when several waiters couldnt find any sign of a shark in a shark soup. 2. Luxe suite is just a simple suite with two rooms. Far from being luxe. 3. Comparing to other Vietnamese people, the hotel staff is quite unfriendly and spoiled. The concierge was extremely displeased to receive an amount equal to the cost of lunch at a Vietnamese dinery. 4. In the evening there was no hot water in the room. Not a five star hotel.

Spacious. Suite large and well fitted I like older historic building and the renovations produced very comfortable modern bedrooms. Breakfast and room serive fine.

They have lost the ambiance in lobby restaurants etc. from the renovations. Spa is not yet renovated - treatments good but the shower was area old.

We were very impresses with our stay at the Rex Hotel right from the check in to the check out. We took two tours from the tour desk and the represenative was helpful and the driver and guide were excellent. We were impressed with the room both for comfort and cleanliness and the inclusive breakfast was very good. I would reccommend this hotel to other travellers.

We were celebrating our honeymoon and all the double premium rooms were taken so they upgraded us to a suite without us having to ask. Also the roof terrace is fantastic.

The pool and spa areas are looking very tired and in real need of an update to keep pace with the rest of the hotel.
