The whole thing was very good. External very good, situation good. The cleanness of the hotel was good despite they were redecorating the rooms.
The room and cleanliness
The noise and the small bathroom
doorman asks me if I need taxi and I say yes. He told me wait and gonna to arrange taxi service for me. my destination is VSIP 1. He charges me 1.6M but when I pick taxi by myself when I am gonna back to hotel from VSIP I, the fee is only 450,000. it is totally rip off.
Great location & hotel
The staff made me feel welcome and I was very comfortable in their company,it was my first time in vietnam and it feel to me that I was there before, and look forward to go again,
The location is pretty good for the price of the hotel. Walking distance to main downtown tourist areas. Friendly staff and good breakfast choices.
A bit noisy during the day as they are renovating. This is temporary.
I couldn't buy food from restaurant around because they are far from the hotel. I had to settle for the hotel's food which was not satisfying and expensive for money paid.
Good building, good location
Renovation, untrained staff, below standard breakfast
The entrance hall and staff are fantastic, and so is the newer and slightly more expensive side of the hotel.
We were initially in the cheaper side where the rooms are pretty basic and in need of rejuvenation, and due to some building work it became unacceptable. We were moved to the other side at no extra cost which was really appreciated.
Inclusive breakfast offers a varieties of selection of local Vietnamese dish as well as the usual continental selections. Location of the hotel was also a positive point as it situated right next to the VinCom shopping mall where you can leisure at your own paces in a aircon environment and offer a wide selection of restaurants at very reasonable prices.
Unfortunately, there were on going re-furbishment works during our stay at the hotel which we had to experienced some noise.
My 5 days stay in Vietnam was very okay but not the hotel... I booked for a total of 4 nights in Royal Lotus and on my first day---I was transferred to another hotel because of technical problems... On the second day, I was transferred back in their hotel but I slept one time that their A/C is not working even if the technician has come...And on day time, there's a construction going on in the hotel and was a bit noisy... Customer Service is not that very good also and some of their receptionist can't understand English well... I stayed there for 3 nights and extended for the 4th day for my sister and asked on my 3rd day for the bill but the receptionist just say "Okay and Okay and that there's no problem even if I go out ahead of my sister-----it's okay and settled" , I even asked them twice with different receptionist and the answer still the same....Later on the 4th day, my sister check-out and she was asked for the bill and they even had a dispute because of that and she was embarrassed by their supervisor... My sister found out that they just deducted the bill on the 4th day, but not on the 1st-3days and because of that she's the one who pays for the 3 days instead of me....I supposed to treat her but now she's the one who is paying... What a very nice SYSTEM!!!!!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean with good service. Good location to explore the city.
The shower leaked as the bath tub wasn't sealed.
Daily breakfast have different variety. Bell boys are very polite
The Restaurant (excellent - I had lunch there that was superb) and bathroom facilities and internet access
1. Noise during day from renovations 2. Twice my room was not made up when I returned from touring 3. The habit of Concierge staff coming to your room to complete tour bookings and arrange a car for trip to airport (also this was an expensive option that compared to taking a Taxi and I wouldn't do it again as a single passenger) - in my view this should have been able to be done in reception 4. No money exchange available altho' advertised
location was walking distance to Vincom Center, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office & Caravelle Hotel breakfast included Vietnamese food that varied daily strong & fast wifi connection value for money room rate the concierge helped us get water puppet show tickets free printing of our airline boarding pass
mini bar refrigerator didn't make our drinks cold we were given rooms on different floors despite requesting for connecting or adjacent rooms 2 months earlier view from our new wing deluxe room was the adjacent building's wall
The service staff are excellent and are always happy to find a solution to your problem. The lobby is pretty nice, and their welcoming drink was nice. While the breakfast buffet wasn't extremely large, they had a good range of food (although it did become repetitive after one week).
the hotel is split into old wing and new wing. My uncle was in the new wing (after several complaints about the old wing) and my family was in the old wing (because they only had family rooms in the old wing). The new wing is very modern and nice, although the rooms are really cramped. Originally, we were put in an unrefurbished room in the old wing. It was awful - the bed smelled weird, and the pillows were old and had a stench to them too, the kettle had a weird odour as well. The bathroom was super old (I've been in hotels ranging from 2-5 stars before, and i'd say the bathroom was 2.5 star quality - maybe 3). We were in there for 2 days but then we couldn't take it anymore, as the room was clearly not the 4 star price that we were paying for, so we made a complaint at the front desk and they moved us up to a refurbished room in the old wing. It was much better there - the bathroom was 4 star quality, as well as the room. The staff apologised for the initial room we were given and gave us a fruit platter. I completely understand that they need the rooms for service so that they can get income, but in my opinion, the old, unrefurbished rooms shouldn't be opened to customers, because it was horrible, and everything had a weird stench to it. In addition, the service staff didn't change or give us more shower gel when the bottle was clearly empty, until we asked for more at the front desk. Their wifi was ok, but it kept disconnecting and we had to wait 10 minute intervals for reconnection. Initial connection to the wifi system also took about half an hour, but when you are connected, it's super fast.
it's very well located. The staff is very nice, so kind.
Clean, fresh and friendly staffs
We were upgraded to a junior suite the next day as the floor I was suppose to be on had no electricity upon my arrival. So we had to stay one night at the neighouring hotel. That's customer service for you! Was also given 15-min free foot reflexology at their spa for the four of us, although not sure if this was part of their "standard" practice to entice you to their spa. Enjoyed their breakfast spread thoroughly with their friendly service staff, always smiling! Concierge service was always available with their info/recommendation.
They got one of our orders wrong for the one night we dine at the restaurant. One way to improve on this is for the staff to repeat the orders back to the guests for confirmation purpose.
Good location and staff will let you know exactly where to go.
The staff was too complicated, we has to add one more day for our reservation and got emails from many different people and one we got there they didn't even have the reservation booked. Room is small but nice. Breakfast wasn't anything special .
Serene location and within walking distance to many interesting places. Good buffet breakfast
Very dim lighting at hotel front after dark. Faulty lighting at corridor to my room.
It was in a great location and the staff were fantastic, Very helpful
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Bathrooms, don't like climbing in and out of a bathtub in order to take a shower.
The Hotel is located in a nice part of Saigon, we liked the surrounding of it. It is not loud, staff very friendly and helpful Good massage on 1st floor
The room was not well cleaned
The location was excellent - close to amenities and public transport.
