Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity
With delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.
Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theater, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.
Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvd. Meanwhile, Saigon Center or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.
For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.
Indulge yourself in one of the 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotels, or stay in a budget hotel at Pham Ngu Lao Street. Don’t miss the Ho Chi Minh City accommodations on Booking.com before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport!

A buzzling city and you get a chance to explore food, culture, people, history, and you just name it. Getting the city and different district is easy. But do use translator as some local place still difficult to communicate using English. All the best to explore!

Definitely a vibrant and energetic city with friendly faces.
Definitely a vibrant and energetic city with friendly faces. One will get used to the honking after a day or two, also crossing the street like the local Vietnamese. Just Walk on and do not run or stop in the middle of the road/street to avoid accidents.
The city offers good food expeditions and go with an open mind to try the local fare. Shopping malls are decent but not up to date like most major cities in Asia. The streets can be “perfumed” by the scent of urine. Otherwise, it’s generally clean in most part of the city.

Ho Chi Minh city is bustling with activity.
Ho Chi Minh city is bustling with activity. So much going on at once. Aim for District 1 for sure as everything is only a short walk away. Be prepared for the heat and humidity. It was so very hot when we were there. Don't be tempted to accept a tour guide from people outside of an actual tour agency as you may find yourself paying double or more compared to booking the same activity through a store front agent. I recommend for the first time to Saigon that you aim for somewhere near Saigon Central park which is a nice green space and very close to markets, plenty of places to eat and of cause walking street. A great city full of adventures.

Big city, very busy and modern.
Big city, very busy and modern.
Walking around is a little bit difficult, partly due to big distances between sightseeing places and non stop traffic.
Very hot and humid.
I would use this place as a pit stop to go somewhere else.

Burstling city where you can find almost everything.
Burstling city where you can find almost everything. Though not as modern as Bangkok, it has its charm and authenticity. After all, the food scene is just amazing and it comes at very good price. Avoid some tourist traps like food courts, locals don't go there. Usually each restaurant offers a speciality and where locals are, it's a good sign.

Visited in mid-March, dry season, but a little rain would have washed away some of the smells. Unfortunately, I had some bad food at a restaurant and contracted Typhoid Fever, not critical but spoiled the trip. Food safety is not a priority with many establishments. Make sure you carry appropriate medication and travel insurance is a must. Many scammers preying upon tourists beware the shoe-shine touts and Grab riders, really tiresome after a while avoiding all the scammers. Vietnam (and much of South-East Asia) need s toc lean up their act, garbage is a massive problem with litter thrown everywhere. At the bottom of a famous waterfall hundreds of tons of plastic waste. Sadly 70% of all plastic waste into the Pacific Ocean is from 4 rivers in SE Asia.

A cute boutique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff (free upgrade. Helped us to book our bus). Great location; walking distance to most of the famous landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City. Many coffee shops and great places to eat close by. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Good a/c. Great wifi.
Better to arrange a pick up from the airport with the hotel; the hotel is tucked away in an alleyway so not easy to find the first time. We will definitely stay there again if we come back to Ho Chi Minh City.
We stayed here for 5 nights and found La Siesta Premium to be the perfect hotel with great customer service. The service from the moment we arrived through our departure was wonderful. The staff were excellent, super helpful and polite. The hotel has a great location, located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City in District 1 and close to the markets, various historical sites, and restaurants. They have a beautiful rooftop bar with city views and their spa is to die for, it was excellent! I highly recommend this hotel!
I had an amazing time at Cabana Hotel during my visit to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They were always available to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing spots. The rooms were cozy and fully furnished and the complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel kept me connected during my trip. The hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore the café, restaurants, markets and nearby attractions.
The Majestic is my favorite 5 star hotel in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and staying in the Graham Green suite or one like it (majestic suite) is a great value for the size of it as well as feeling transported to. period when Graham Green was alive and writing something like The Quiet American which is an atmospheric movie and I need to read the book! I live in Saigon now because it’s a paradise for single men who like massages whether you need a happy ending or not!
Sai Gon hotel located in the heart of District 1. The hotel offers affordable accommodation with all the amenities. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk, and a concierge service. Staff are always willing to help with anything. There is no restaurant on site, but the hotel is conveniently located close to a variety of restaurants and cafes. The hotel is a great option for those looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city center.
We booked Singita, as we had stayed at the Singita hotel in Hanoi also and loved the service etc so we booked for Ho chi min city also.. great choice.. we were in district 1 not far from anything really.. had a great 3 days.. we even got a wonderful upgrade which was nice. .. the staff were friendly and really helpful specially one of the managers. we will recommend this hotel to everyone we know.
Great location in District 1 with many restaurants, cafes and bars in walking distance. The hotel is a little dated but was everything we wanted for a short stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Also the service from the staff aaa outstanding, very friendly, polite and helpful. Particular thanks to Ehaw (I’m sorry about the spelling!) - he really stood out to us for his great customer service, thank you!
Laca hostel is located in the District 1, very good location, we were able to get around by foot and by taxi.
The host was very helpful, she welcome us and gave us a lot of good recommendations about restaurants and places to go in Ho Chi Minh City!
The hostel is quite new, I really like the room we stayed, the bed is very big and comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed stay at this place!
This property is located in District 1 which is considered the best district to stay in because it is where most of the main attractions are located. This property is located in a small alley so it can be tricky to find but it's quiet during the day and night. There's also a really popular seafood restaurant nearby which was one of the best places I've eaten in the city.
Located in district 1, it was extremely easy to explore the city. The hotel is a very good choice if you have a busy schedule and spend time exploring HCMC. If you plan to spend time and relax at the hotel as well, we think it's not the place to be. However, the city has so much to offer, hence, we think it's very good value for money if you're more of an active person.
Excellent location in district 1 downtown- walking distance to everything. lots of choices to eat.
Close to Siagon Tourist Company who are great at organising city double-decker bus tour. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent has egg station / good choice of hot local dishes / fruit / crusty baguette and jam . Room had view over street - lovely
The place is located in the very safe area near district 1. It’s huge department block with big shopping mall near by that you can find restaurants , supermarket and few things for kids to do there. The neighborhood is quite nice to walk around with some parks near by. Our place is clean & spacious with stunning view of the city. We highly recommend to other guests.
I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Nicecy SG, Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is conveniently located, close to attractions and shopping. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, with great views out to the city. Restaurant are excellent. I had a memorable vacation and will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

This hotel is located in the beating heart of the city with good access to the main sights of District 1. Although it's on a busy street inside the hotel is peaceful and comfortable. The rooftop bar and jacuzzi pool were very much appreciated after a long day. The staff were friendly and attentive.
It's really awesome experience so clean hotel so beautiful room as well as good staff for response and very care about guests as well as every place is so near this hotel so I really request to all please book this hotel if plan for visit HCM City Vietnam. So good rate also in this district 1.
