Staff and SPA PEOPLE
The location, the room and the friendly staff
Afternoon tea a nice touch!
No shower curtain
Like the air conditioner control being next to a bed post etc...Liked the small detais as such are taken in to consideration for comfort.
Free tea and wonderful staff.
Over complicated lavatory which didn't flush properly.
Customer service, location
The room was huge, beautiful and luxurious, and the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful
Nothing bad to say - all positive.
Wonderful staff, excellent location, amenities were fantastic - I would definitely recommend upgrading your room to the suite. Worth every penny! Free afternoon for all - a Brits delight!
The pool is either roasting hot or ice water so be prepared for no swimming.
I liked the suite as it had a desk for me to relax at. The pool area was great and my GF enjoyed her spa treatment! The best thing about Silverland was the staff. Everyone was excellent and very friendly!!
The friendly and helpful staff with special thanks to Maria at front desk. I also enjoyed the food.
No swimming pool, the gym is on the terrace, just 3 machines.
Rooftop and rooms
No WIFI in Room 203
Rooftop jacuzzi pool, comfy bed, modern look & feel, friendly service, central location, breakfast & afternoon tea, fast wifi.
No windows in the room
Hotel design was cool & nice rooms Decent enough location, plenty of food nearby Free afternoon tea was great after a day of walking around Great view from roof bar/pool Friendly staff (espec. door men & afternoon tea lady!)
Smell from basin in room. Didn't complain as not there for long A little noisy at night in our back room but it is a city after all! Couldn't get a sun lounger on the roof, was quite busy and only a small area
People very friendly and extremely helpful
Could smell smog/pollution through aircon
I would have to say that the warm friendly smiles were greatly appreciated. The front desk people were always warm and welcoming; as well as the doormen, and restaurant staff. I have stayed at a number of boutique hotels and this is one of the nicest. The hotel area is in the Japanese district which lends to be a very safe atmosphere. There are a number of nice restaurants, and convenience stores located nearby. If your happen to be a Korean or Japanese traveller this area will make you feel right at home. I recommend the rooms with a window and booking early if you want to be assured one of the best rooms. We were aware of the window comments and were happy to have read them from the reviews. The executive room was really nice and highly recommended. But cost might be a concern. We were upgraded so, this was a great highlight of our trip...and I would like to thank Sakyo for this great detail to service as we booked several months in advance and were rewarded for this.
If I have to comment on something negative, it would have to be the seating availability at the morning buffet. We had good seating, (so I should not complain), but I do not really enjoy sitting with strangers especially with young children, and if you were to arrive at the peak morning rush you may have to sit separately if you are in a group. You may also feel a bit rushed if you have occupied the table for long time.
Staff are lovely.
It was a bit over priced for the size of the room.
We stayed here twice at the beginning and end of our trip around Vietnam. It is by far the best hotel we stayed in (and we stayed at 8 different hotels !) the best room, breakfast, spa and the service was by far the best we had in Vietnam.
The roof top terrace with jacuzzi and bar is great for relaxing after a long day of travel. Great service.
The loud noise of the construction. Creates headache and makes it very difficult to relax. The hotel is open yet for public, but still under construction inside in order to generate more rooms.
Staff was very helpful thru out our stay. Very helpful. Helped with last minute tour bookings and a lot more.
Located abit on the outskirts of the town area
The hotel had a nice Japanese style, and the staff was most helpful. They offered us late check out (2pm) at no extra charge. Complimentary tea and cakes are served everyday in the lobby from 3 to 5pm. The rooftop Jacuzzi was a bit small but nicely set up. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of tasty options, which included Vietnamese, Japanese and Western dishes.
The hotel has only two elevators, both of which were extremely slow. Also, most of the rooms do not have a window - which in my opinion is a plus in a place like HCMC central districts where the street noise is just so bad. So this comment is just for potential guests to double check the room description in case a room without window is a no-no.
Nice baths and showers. First night was upgraded to executive suite (308). Not too noisy considering it's at front of hotel on street. Final stay was in basic room (101) with no window at back of hotel (our choice). Was actually our favourite room (apart from the mattress). Very quiet room. Excellent staff. Well done guys!
side room (303) picked up too much traffic noise for my liking. Mattress in room 101 too soft! A bigger selection of teas/coffee in the rooms would be a nice improvement. Lifts not always working. Breakfast bread rolls generally stale.
Breakfast buffet was incredible, so was the food in the restaurant. Super nice staff, nice touch was a daily free afternoon tea. Spa is great too and the rooftop bar. Whole hotel has a very trendy design. Definitely would stay again
The awful awful xmas music everywhere. Rooftop area is so amazing but it really needs some lounge/chillout music to be able to enjoy fully. Really - this is not a hotel for kids so don't see a reason to spoil it with rubbish xmas disco music
Staff were very hospitable and kind, offering great advice on places to visit and safety precautions. Room was very comfortable, we paid for the cheapest room which didn't have a window, however we found this to be very beneficial as we didn't get any street noise and the room was big and light enough to feel open. Great breakfast and afternoon is a nice touch. Half price cocktails on the rooftop everyday was great, and much cheaper than the high rise hotels offering a view of HCM
The rooms were nice and the wifi was good. The roof top bar and pool was its best feature
A crowing cock next door every morning at 5 other than that all good
