Noisy; - some room (1604) have door with neighbor room (1606). It's noisy. - servise staff ( cleaner and other) loud talking when maiking thier job.

The staff made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. We met the General Manager, Executive Chef, we were made to feel very important. It was great to access the Club Sofitel and have all of the trimmings.

All staff friendly, restaurant service and management is very good (friendly, clear, silence and faster)

1. Wine (espesially France) list not for 5 stars. 2. Small gym hall and "old" many sport equipments.

Staff very helpful. We got an upgrade to a Kingsize bed. Rooftop bar and restaurant has a nice view over the city and offers a relaxing time after a busy day. Location out of "Old quartier" is actually good to relax.

Breakfast prices are a bit expensive for a hotel in Vietnam.

The lounge bar in the lobby is amazing & live entertainment is lovely (pianist & band play nightly). Summit lounge bar on 20th floor is also a great way to enjoy a start to the night or the whole night if you wish. Friday nights are vodka night at the summit but all other nights have great cocktails (approx $8-$10 aud each). Location makes it easy to get to most locations with ease.

Wines can be expensive in comparison to Australia but that is consistent throughout Vietnam not just the hotel. May also be worth going to local small shops to purchase bottled water as this can also be expensive within the hotel.

Fantastic breakfast, great swimming pool, really nice executive club lounge with a nice lake view and good evening cocktail. All the staff was very helpful and service minded.

Location. It is on the beautiful Hanoi West Lake.

You pay for what you get.It is pricey but worth it.We had buffet dinner which was superb and their breakfast was good value.

A beutiful hotel close to the hub of Hanoi. If you like to walk and explore, this is the place to stay. Close enough yet just far enough to enjoy. The service was wonderful and would go back there if given the chance to. Try the Summit bar if you can. The drinks and service was great, as well as the view from the roof.

The view from the room is nice and the location is convenient.

Superior room is quite small compared to the price paid. There was so much noise from upstairs as a result of poor sound-proof.

Number one, two and three: The Staff...we were really impressed with their courtesy, trying alays to find a solution specially and a BIG thanks to all the staff on the 17 floor , specially the supervisor Misses Lin , she has really gone beyond professionalism. The staff on the 20th floor was excellent as well and we had a great time there having drinks... . THANK you once again for such an amazing experience.. my memories about Hanoi will include the staff of the hotel

Only one thing and I know you are working on is your gym , sauna and steam room...it is very old and not updated. the equipment, the tiles are old in the showers , looks like you partner with a gym but is not partt of the Sofitel

We stayed 1 night on the last day during our Vietnam/Cambodia trip. We arrived at 8pm and left at 7am next morning. Anyway we enjoyed view from Club Rooms and excellent service for people stayed in Club Rooms, rooftop bar and view was very nice as well.

Location is not the best for Hanoi exploring - if you are looking for best city location - have a look at Sofitel Metropole. Rooftop bar closes at midnight, it's not really good. That said bar itself is great, but closing time is not relevant.

Good location on West Lake, and while not subject to the same mayhem as seen in the old quarter, still a fair amount of chaos outside. Rooms fairly well insulated from the noise. Nice rooftop bar / lounge with fantastic views over Hanoi; great place to have a drink and watch the sun go down. Good sized swimming pool and a good breakfast.

Gym equipment dated and bed wasn't that comfy for a hotel of this calibre. 'Double Superior' room pretty standard in all ways. As such probably not great value for money.

They provide a gentle and good service

Location is good, general clean, like the summit bar , but when we went up at 11.50 pm all was cleared and ready to close down , its a shame all this early closing hours in Hanoi 12 midnight !

When I checked in my reservation through booking.com was not found at the front office , neither was the reservation found in the system. Anyway the managed to arrange a room for us, but it took a while and I , because of the mishandled reservation didn't got the room I had ask for. The guest corridors/hall ways and guest room doors are not sound proofed you can hear everything. The GYM is in desperate need of upgrade in particular the weight strenghts's equipment. rusty and outdated, the Air Con in the entire GYM is a failure , way way too hot, I go the gym every day and have never had such a sweaty gym affair, the put wall mounted fan's on the walls in a tropical country with 38 degree outside , its a joke !

Le personnel est remarquable, très serviable et présent, mais en toute discrétion. La vue de la chambre était splendide, sur le lac et la ville. L'offre club était parfaite pour notre dernier jour, nous permettant de libérer la chambre plus tard, d'accéder au salon avec cocktail et vue magnifique jusqu'à l'heure du départ. L'emplacement est idéal, au calme et pourtant assez proche de la vieille ville pour s'y rendre à pied.

Les tarifs du spa sont un peu excessifs mais n'ayant pas testé, je ne saurais dire s'ils sont justifiés. Sinon, tout était parfait.

Belles chambres avec vue sur lac, personnel accueillant et restaurant de qualité.

Frugalité du peiti déjeuner à emporter facturé au m^me prix que pris sur place.
