Rooms weren't the same even though paid the same price for same type of room. Noises carried from room above & staff reluctant to do something initially. As we stayed twice in two weeks were disappointed that one of the rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes.

The hotel froze the payment from my credit card as a form of deposit for my 3 room bookings. I'm okay with it but they shd have inform me beforehand

Room was very nice we were up graded in arrival. Food was ok, location was good for seeing main tourist stuff. Front desk service very good restaurant service not so good. Massage was very good.

Amazing location, and staff really helpful with booking of trips.

Booked city view room but the view is limited. We also had an interconnecting door between our room and next door. This meant we could hear everything that was said in the next room.

Location is definitely this hotel's biggest advantage. Ben Thanh Markets is literally at your doorsteps. The room we booked was quite spacious and has a massive king bed. Buffet breakfast is fantastic with a wide variety of Western and Asian food to choose from.

Ok I have a long list. I'm of Vietnamese decent however have been in Australia for over 20 years. I traveled with my partner who is Caucasian Australian. Staff at the hotel (particularly breakfast service) went out of their way to serve my partner and ignored me completely. It became quite frustrating when they answered him when I asked a question. We hired a scooter to zip around town so had to leave the scooter down the basement. The young hotel guards hardly acknowledged us when we need to park/return the bike. My partner almost knocked other bikes over when trying to maneuver our bike out of the basement. Compare to most places I've stayed in Saigon (and I've been 8 times now), this place has the most unfriendly staff. Perhaps it's because I'm of Vietnamese decent. The room service people also made so much noise in the morning around 7:30am, just chatting outside our room. Although it was a bad experience for me, it might be ok if you're Caucasian. My partner said he wouldn't stay here again though because he felt so smothered by everyone working there.

- The shower in the bathroom (the design is not good and we flooding the floor !) - The night staff for check in and the staff of the restaurant... not friendly/smily

Hotel is well situated, and within easy walking distance of most of the main attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful, and would recommend to anyone wanting a good budget hotel.

the location is very good. RIght next to central market. Equal short walk to backpacker area in one direction and uptown in the other. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.

Excellent location, helpful and extremely polite friendly staff. We were able to see the busy street during the time we were there including vietnam new year festivities but you may not get the same room. Good for people who want to shop; Ben Thanh market right next door and many other places to shop

Room was a bit small for our liking, noisy street but we knew this before booking. Not really a hotel if you want to relax in peace as you kind of get the notion there that you are in the city and everything is gogogogogo

There had obviously been some mix up with our booking and they asked us if we wanted a bigger room for $20 a night extra. We refused and 5 minutes later they upgraded us anyway at no extra charge. All city sites within walking distance

Breakfast not too good for those wanting western type food. Didnot explain why they had added an extra $40 to the credit card authorisation at check-in. Communication on front desk not always the best with regard to getting taxis

The staff were generally friendly! Except the drivers of the transfer aerporto / Hotel / Airport!

The rooms are extremely small! In front of my door was a small deposit of all sorts of things, bubbler off trash ... !

The quality of everyone English, you have to be in Vietnam to learn to apreciate this detail. The availability and friendly staff, ready to help.

Fantastic location if you want to focus on District 1 (the main tourist area). Good selection for breakfast and comfortable rooms. Staff were also very helpful

My only issue with this hotel was the rooster that lived in one of the apartments behind the building. It only started making noise around 7ish so not too early but after a big night it did wake me up. Maybe it was due for a pot of pho soon though...
