Cool town on Mekong river with peaceful views and friendly people. There are so many activities to do like visiting fruit plantation, sitting on boat along a narrow channel with 2 green along the way. I like the most seeing sunrise at Bo Song Quan coffee and Huong Quan food is great!!

Not a huge amount to do in this area.
Not a huge amount to do in this area. It’s a great getaway to relax and unwind in a resort.
To get there from HCM I would use a bus company to the tourist port.
You can cycle around but there isn’t a huge amount to see.
Not lots of choice of places to eat outside the hotel.
Lots of rubbish sadly, would be great to see some conservation projects or community clearing projects to help with this.
The property is very well laid out with duplex units on the river, lake or garden. All very nice. The bath is spacious and the little deck nice to enjoy the views. The pool is large although too shallow on one side. Great for the toddlers. The breakfast is good if it’s the buffet but if you order by menu just so so. Restaurant serves nicely prepared dishes at resort prices. Thr staff as usual in Vietnam is eager to help. We arrived by rented scooter and had some trouble with it. Three guys were omit and had the problem
fixed in a jiffy.
When we arrived at the hotel, Mr. Vu was waiting for us. The first thing he told us was that for him guests are not just clients, but family. And that's exactly how it was. After that, he was no longer Mr. Vu for us, but friend Vu. If you want to experience Vietnam, the Sao Mai Hotel is exactly the place where you can feel authentic vibes. Also Vu is not just the owner of the hotel, he's also a chef, tour guide and manager of everything. And he's not only available but also very happy to be of your service 24/24.
Amazing experience staying in Cai Be at Sao Mai Hotel. Vu and his family really take care of you here. When you stay here you will be fed delicious home made meals and have the opportunity to speak with Vu and his family, getting a better understanding of Vietnam and the Mekong region. They will help you with everything in your stay whether it be food, tours, bus tickets and onward travel! Room was very comfortable with hot water and AC. Thank you for everything!
This was the best accommodation we’ve had, hands down. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, the garden beautiful & peaceful and our hosts were warm and welcoming.
Our river tour with Nhi was an absolute highlight - we saw and experienced so much.
Yes it’s rustic and doesn’t have all of the comforts of a city hotel, but that’s the point!
It was the only time we felt that we truly got away from the tourist traps and experienced the real Vietnam.
A very clean and spacious house, with a comfortable outside area in a very nice , leafy part of Cai Be, we did very nice walks through narrow paths off the main street, tiny canals in people’s gardens, an unexpected school in the middle of maize of small paths, one feels that the jungle starts just behind this part of the city. There is also a very neat restaurant with AC room next door.
The location on the river provided lovely views, and the pool was stunning. Free hire of bicycles allowed for exploring during the day, and the hotel organised morning tour through the delta and visit to rice and honey places was nice. Staff were friendly, and they went out of their way to cater for 2 members of our family who had Coeliac Disease.
Vu is an amazing host. He welcomed us with open arms after being on the road all day. Vu's place is filled with great energy as he loves to welcome people into his hotel. We only stayed a night but thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Vu's family cooked us a lovely meal and we were greeted with a cold beer. I highly recommend staying here.
Lovely if slightly rustic hotel on the Mekong Delta. Food was really delicious, much better than some previous reviews suggested. Great tours, free bike hire appreciated. Seamless communication with booking.com taxis regarding pick up and drop off (as have to access from a boat). Overall great relaxing time.
I adored this little place by the river! Very homey vibes and way bigger than expected. There's a kitchen, a bathtub, two beds, a sofa and armchairs to relax and read. Bicycles also available to move around Cai Be town. Having breakfast with the boats passing by is priceless, I will definitely be back!
Our room was a standalone bungalow(Delux), very specious and inviting. The pool is one of the largest hotel pool I have ever seen (28m), the location beside the Mekong river and close to Cat Bai town is great and bike are available for free to cycle around which we did for two consecutive days.
This spacious property is exactly like the photos and very thoughtfully designed. The owners were incredibly helpful on check-in, check-out, and with any questions we had, including organising the bus to leave Caí Be. They also adapted the breakfast for our diet at the last minute.
The place is very nice in the middle of the nature and wonderful seeview of Mekong. Free bikes to go to the Cai Be town. They offer organised tour for 600k dongs per person but there is not floating market any more in Cai Be since Covid.
Our favourite hotel in the Mekong Delta. The place is brilliant the staff are lovely. The pool is the highlight.
We've been coming here for years. Hopefully they will pick up just as well as they did before Covid.
During the days in Cai be, we had the chance to discover the city thanks to Vuvu. He helps us with everything (bus, activities…). It’s was not only an hotel but a experience in the Vuvu’s family.
Mister Vu was so helpful right from the booking of the hotel to checking out. He showed us his village and gave us a great tour of the surrounding area. Everything was really great!! Thanks Vu!
The rooms were nice. The food at the hotel restaurant was decent. The pool needed to be cleaned. The spa was closed though that was not advertised until we were at the hotel.
