Van Loi Hotel  

Floor in shower recess was not tiled only cement. Room was old and needed a good clean, a lot of dust on fixtures.Staff were not very helpful and could not understand english very well. We needed to stay another night in Hoi An but could not stay in hotel as it was booked out but they could not help us find or recommend another hotel to us.

Pool was nice. Breakfast included on the nice terrace..

Too pushy when it comes to booking tours, but only one of them. Everything in the room looks a bit run down. In the way that you can see that at one point this has been a really good place to stay....

The location is excelente. 5 minutes walking from the city centre. Close to everything but quiet. It is not a luxury place, but it's clean and straightforward. Nice view from the terrace where you have breakfast, which is good enough. Quite good valeu for your money.

Altough we didn´t have a major reason for complain, the staff - one person is particular - should change their attitude: trying to impose day trips, taxis, and so on, all the time, reacting badly when ypou decline, is not nice. But nothing really serious, and easy to change, if lessons are learned.

Large room,good quiet location out of main busy town area. Good choice for breakfast. Receptionist was helpful and booked flights

Nice old hotel in colonial style. Open air breakfast area. 5 min walk to restaurants, local market and shopping streets.

Very noisy hotel due to old doors and rotten windows. Noise from inside (poolbar) and outside (street and neiborhood). Having the breakfest restaurant on the 5th floor rooms in the 4th floor hear from 6am on the sratching chairs noise from all earlybirds running to the buffet and back.

- The style of the interior was great (colonial) - location - help of the reception staff in booking train tickets - service to rent bikes - great breakfast buffet on the top floor with view

- Beauty salon (I had a pedicure) was basic

Noisy: music at the bar but turned off early. Trafic noise outside with rooms not well isolated.

Amazing location just across the bridge from the town, clean very big rooms with balcony over looking an attractive pool/bar, very nice reception area

Chosen for gym and disappointed... 1 free standing cross trainer in a non air inductions court yard and small multi gym... Also 2 hand weights made of concrete that were hanging off their plastic casing... Should not have bothered stating they had a gym as it was not and I found it very challenging

средний отель. оформлен красиво, деревянная мебель с красиво вырезанными пейзажами - драконами, птицами. построен колодцем, посередине бассейн, не большой и так нарду много грязноватый. лежаки без зонтов, особо под солнцем не полежишь. номера разные, с видом на бассейн, с видом на сад и с видом на реку. у нас был с видом на реку, река правда через пол км. видно конечно реку, но не очень. ресторан открытый на крыше. завтраки так себе. даже яичницу толком пожарить не могут, всегда с горелой коркой. до старого города не далеко, минут 10, через мостик через реку тху бон. город хой ан фантастический! конечно старый квартал. маленькие домики, кругом фонарики из шелка, маленькие лавки где можно сшить все что угодно, купить красивые сувениры, от магнитиков до макетов кораблей времен пиратов. обычно в ван лое останавливаются дня на три, мы особо не заморачивались, хотелось выспаться в тишине после экскурсий. но выспаться особо не получалось, так как этаж был 4-й , а на 5 - м ресторан, завтраки начинали готовить с 6- и утра, слышимость великолепная!! плюс петухи просыпались в 4-е, вьетнамцы на работу рано едут на мото байках, в общем шумновато. надумаете остановиться в сказочном горде хой ань выбирайте отель на море, с бесплатным трансфером в город, поверьте такие есть! и в море поплаваете и позагораете и сервис получше будет и до экскурсий не далеко, конечно не пешком как в ван лое, но мне кажеться такой вариант получше.

девушки на ресепшене при расчете перед отъездом пытались обсчитать на 20 долларов. мило улыбаясь и смотря в глаза переводят доллары в донги по своему личному курсу.... противно. убираются в номерах не важно, полотенца видавшие виды. в воде из под крана несколько раз видели маленьких красных червяков! чистите зубы и умывайтесь только водой из бутылок!!

Solo il personale merita un giudizio positivo.

Pulizia mediocre con cattivi odori, finestra con diversi spifferi che permetvano alle zanzare di entrare, dopo laprima notte abbiamo cambiato hotel.

Le stanze sono pulite,ampie e I letti larghi e comodi.Ottima colazione a buffet nel bel terrazzo all'ultimo piano.Buon hotel nel rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Le porte delle stanze non hanno sistemi di attutimento e sono molto rumorose quando vengono chiuse da ospiti maleducati nel cuore della notte o al mattino presto.

Bett hat nach Schimmel gerochen und das Badezimmer war auch nicht gerade sauber. Außerdem war es die ganze Nacht tierisch laut. Bedienstete haben schon morgens um 6 Uhr mit den Türen geknallt! Rezeption war nicht gerade freundlich.

Hay una recepcionista que al hacer el check in ya me estaba vendiendo tickets de tren para irme y ni siquiera habia entrado en la habitscion, encima mevlos vendia el doble que una agencia, y como no le quisemos comprar nos puso mala cara toda la estancia, asi que decidimos cambiar e irnos al hotel hay yen

Die Rezeptionistin war nur freundlich, wenn sie was verkaufen wollte. Das Badezimmer war eine Katastrophe. Wenig sauber. Für backpacker mit weniger Anspruch ist das Hotel empfehlenswert

Отель расположен в тихом месте, за мостом, вблизи старого города и рынка. Хорошие чистые номера с балконом. Большой бассейн, бесплатный бильярд, неплохой завтрак, персонал вежливый, приветливый, готовы помочь в любом вопросе. Рядом с отелем много прокатов байков и велосепидов, можно легко арендовать и исследовать город.

Плохо что нет машины, отвозящей гостей на пляж и обратно, для кого-то это будет минусом, но для меня было удобней передвигаться на байке.

We have very spacious room with the balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast is very good, it is on the 5 floor on the terrace under the roof with fantastic view on the river. The cleaning is good, there is plenty of hot water, a hair drier in the bathroom. The pool is good but rather small, there are about 10 lounges near it, so in high season they will not be enough. There is an umbrella in the room. Booking wia internet is much cheaper then in hotel. We pay only $45 for a family with 2 kids (5 & 8 years old).They have kettle but no tea bags in the room. Very good Mermaid restaurant is situated in the old town over the bridge.

Aircon is too strong and have no regulations. When you take the key leaving the room, electricity turns off and you can't charge anythig.

Location was good being just slightly out of the hustle.

On arriving there was sand still on our floor from the last guests. We had a superiour room with river views, the river isn't exactly close so wouldn't do that again. Light in the room is a neon tube and you can't use re balcony doors to lock the room as the shutters are the only thing the locks. The worst though was the shower, faces the wrong way in the room in the bath so you have to hold it all re time, oh and on our last mining, no hot water and staff just shrugged made our 5 hour bus trip so much more enjoyable...

Essen im Restauarnt war nicht gut und das Personal nicht besonders hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Außerdem war es sehr laut, da im Innenhof ständig Musik leif.

Very close to everything but not in noisy location. Roomd are very good, best value for money
